The house was beautiful inside. A perfect getaway for a couple.
We had a great time. The property was secluded and quiet which was wonderful. At night we watched the fireflies light up the trees which was beautiful.
This place had everything on my checklist for a mountain getaway with my wife.
The outdoor jacuzzi worked very well, the two sided indoor gas fireplace worked great and was enjoyable, the outdoor fire pit was nice with plenty of firewood provided. The kitchen was well supplied and the cabin was comfortable and clean. The view was nice but it is no longer what it shows in the photos as vegetation has obviously grown since then so parts of it are obstructed. I know it would take some work, but it would be great to see the vegetation trimmed, especially along the porch.
We really wanted to get up to the cabin in the daylight but that didn't work out. The initial drive up to the cabin was a little sketchy in the dark if you have never been. We were glad there was no inclement weather during our stay as most all of the road off Silvermine is gravel. The directions in the email were a bit confusing. Just be sure when you get to Georgianna Road, don't go straight, take the left turn onto JP Grant.
All in all, a great stay in a great area! Thank you!
The directions to the property were good. The road is gravel, very steep in spots and curvy. Driving a large truck can be tricky in spots that are only one lane. Directions say red front door. Itâs not, itâs black, so that was a little confusing. We missed the street sign that stated Dreamcatcher. The cabin has a small faded sign that says Dreamcatcher, but that needs to be touched up too. The pictures on VRBO show an amazing view of the mountains. Unfortunately, this time of year there was way too much foliage to see any mountain range. You have to stand at the very front corner of the front part of porch to have a view. We loved watching the stars at night on the bed swing out back. Again, there is a big cedar tree that needs to be chopped down right next to the porch where the hot tub is at, took away your view of even the stars out at night. I guess it maybe there for privacy, since the road is close. I think of the four nights we stayed, we maybe saw two cars drive by. Itâs pretty remote and private without some of the cedar trees around the place. Otherwise, the place was wonderful. Perfect for a couple. The kitchen had all the pot and pans. Cabinets had plates and cups, utensils. Had a coffee pot and Keurig. Hot tub was wonderful after kayaking in the freezing water all day. The fireplace worked well too. Thanks for sharing your cabin with us.
My spouse and I loved the location of this cabinâŠseclusion is what we were looking for and we got it! The hot tub under the stars was lovely and the king sized bed was extremely comfortable. Kitchen is well stocked with all appliances needed. The only suggestion I would make is to update the pictures and view on the listing as the furniture is different than the pictures and the view of the mountains is quite obstructed from the overgrown bushes, weeds, and trees. Still a beautiful view, but not as open as the pictures indicate. We had a wonderful time and will return!
Amazing cabin, with great views. Had everything we look for in a cabin when booking. We stayed at the cabin and enjoyed all the amenities. Being completely secluded was definitely a plus! The only downside is that itâs located on a one lane, gravel road(2+miles) with turns and the directions are a little confusing. We made the wrong turn twice & had to turn around, in the dark, which was horrifying for me! The cabin itself is 5+ stars! We would love to come back year after year!
Hot tub was green, fire place didn't work, rug hadn't been vacuumed in months. Fireplace didn't work. Wifi was not included like in the ad. Only a hot spot u have to pay for. Cob webs and dust all over.
We had a pleasant experience! The check in/out process was easy, the cabin was clean and we thought it was the perfect size for the two of us and the dogs. We didnât get to use the outdoor space much because of the rainy weather but thatâs the risk you take when you vacation in January. We were there to hike, not chill, so we did what we enjoyed in nearby Natahala national forest. We did lose power for about 24 hours due to a snow storm but we knew it was coming so we made sure to heat the cabin a bit above normal before we went to bed that night, and then we utilized the fireplace to help keep us warm. There was one or two little maintenance issues while we were there but nothing major and the property management team (Chelsea, specifically) was in close contact with us about it and I really appreciate the responsiveness! All in all, we definitely plan to come back!!!
My husband and I really enjoyed our romantic stay in the mountains. The view was amazing and it had everything we needed minus the Internet. We didnât accept the Internet add on but it was worth it unplugging from the world.
Quaint little cabin with a beautiful view. Very secluded property close to the NOC. Drive up the mountain has some pretty tight corners and steep spots.
Beautiful cabin with perfect accommodations. This was our first time trying anything like this and was not disappointed. Cabin was amazing and hot tub allowed for a great way to wind down at night. Communication was great and even got a text to make sure we didn't need anything during our stay. Highly recommend!
Absolutely enjoyed our stay at this cabin! It was perfect for my husband and I. The directions provided to get us to the property were easy to understand. Everything we needed for our stay was there! Our Yukon xl had no trouble getting to the property as well. Thanks so much for sharing your cabin. Canât wait to return!
Came to celebrate a Happy Birthday getaway from it all! Amazing experience we got to enjoy a cozy little place of peace, tranquility in a setting made perfect for two! Yet, close to lots of activities if you wish to venture beyond the cabin.
This place was exactly what we were looking for and was even better in person! Property managers were great and made sure we had everything we needed; place was gorgeous, cozy and what we needed! Weâll be back for an even longer stay đ
Everything was phenomenal! The view was beautiful, the cabin was spectacular. It's a wonderful area and even though it rained during most of our stay there was tons to do. Definitely check out Deep Creek Winery in downtown Bryson City. We did have trouble getting maintenance on the phone after hours though :/
We had a very nice time at the cabin. The only problem we had was with the fireplace. It was incredibly dirty we couldn't see through the glass to enjoy either side of the double fireplace! We booked the cabin fore three nights and after emails and phone calls we finally had the manager reach out to us on our third afternoon. They offered to come out to wipe it down or give us instructions over the phone. We opted for instructions over the phone. Maintenance finally called around 6pm during our final night. I removed the glass according to his instructions, cleaned the glass for both sides and finally enjoyed the fireplace with my wife on our anniversary.
