Asseyez-vous dans la grande salle avec des fenêtres tout autour ou sur le pont et regardez passer les aventuriers en eau vive de la rivière Nantahala, le pêcheur à la mouche et la grande machine à vapeur enfumée et le train POLAR EXPRESS. La tranquillité et le calme de la River House sont imbattables pour un séjour relaxant. Uniquement "au bord de la rivière!"
La rivière Nantahala a classé la pêche à la truite au niveau national - guidée par radeau ou par vous-même - LA rivière avec la meilleure population de Rainbow & Browns indigènes avec une grande population de stock - Record d'état de Caroline du Nord Brown attrapé juste en amont de la maison! Jetez directement sur le pont arrière! Que vous visitiez pour faire du rafting, pour explorer le shopping ou les grands marchés aux puces de la région, pour faire de la randonnée dans les grands Smokies for Views ou des cascades, faire du vélo de montagne sur les sentiers de Tsali, du golf ou tout simplement pour une escapade, cette maison unique livrera et vous charmer. Pan pour votre propre mine Ruby est juste en bas de la route, équitation, tyrolienne, parcours de cordes hautes, escalade murale et Cherokee et Murphy Casinoe sont tous à une courte distance en voiture! Nantahala Outdoor Center est à seulement un mile sur la route avec un grand restaurant donnant sur la rivière et un magasin de pourvoirie de classe mondiale. The Perfect Get Away!

fantastic location

This property is directly on the Nantahalla River with room to play at the rivers edge. their are very few homes on the river with this type of access. it is a real gem. Our host, Nolan, was very helpful. We will stay here again.

Location, location, location!

Great spot on the river, walked across the road to go white water rafting and got excellent Carolina BBQ right next door for lunch! It's all about location here and getting unplugged (no TV or internet and limited phone service). We certainly may be back next year, thanks.

If you’re looking for a place “on the river” you won’t get closer than here. Breathtaking views and the peaceful surroundings make this a fantastic spot to unwind, and unplug. Our children 7,8, 9, spent the trip catching fireflies and playing in the river. There was no begging for a tablet, TV, or video game. The only negative to our visit was having to head home. Can’t wait to come back.

Amazing Cabin With Amazing Views

This was the best cabin we have stayed in when visiting North Carolina. The balcony hangs right over the Nantahala River. Steps away is an ice cream shop and BBQ shack. We fished the river, went rafting, hiking, had camp fires, and the kids played along river banks, all without driving far. The cabin is clean and has all that you need. Waking up to the sound of the river flowing by was great! We will be back again for sure.

Scenic River View in the Nantahala Gorge!

One of a kind experience in the Nantahala Gorge; right on the river! The cabin is only steps to the river with lots of large windows for panoramic views. You can even here the soothing sound of the river flowing over rocks while you sleep! The property has all the amenities of home and includes linens, blankets, towels, kitchenware, etc. Very clean and comfortable! This is my new favorite vacation spot and very affordable. I'm already planning my next trip!

On The River House

This was a good place for us to stay with our brother and geriatric(16 YO) dog. The home is well-appointed-really could not think of anything more that could have been provided. The area is located in a mountain, rustic fishing, rafting village that has the potential of being splendid if given the TLC treatment. Property owner didn't leave anything to chance-great communication and care that we had a wonderful stay! Thank you for allowing us to stay and we encourage others who like mountains, river, fishing, and a property manager who is thoughtful and caring to give it a try.

Wow what an experience!

Words could never do justice to how amazing this property is. The views, the atmosphere, the hosts, the location - all perfect! Everything we could ever need was already provided for us. Information on area attractions and all different interests were right at our fingertips. The kitchen is stocked better than my own at home. Tons of movies, music, games and books were there for our down time. Super comfy beds and furnishings made for the perfect relaxing getaway. Nolan and Sudi were so accommodating! I felt at home instantly.

Peaceful and Relaxing!!!

My husband and friend just got back from staying at this cabin. I was originally planned to go but something came up. They loved it. The cabin was furnished with everything you could imagine. They said it was so peaceful sitting on the porch watching the rafters go by. He said they would definantly be going back next year. Thanks Nolan for being so helpful and accommodating. TB Butcher

Location Location Location!!!

The perfect base camp to do so many wonderful things, or the perfect place to just chill and enjoy the beautiful Nantahala River. We had members of our party do both and everyone was happy. River House is comfortable and well stocked with everything you need. For a long weekend we packed in a lot. We booked a guided trout fishing expedition and rafting trip through Endless River Adventures. They were excellent! We hiked, fished, went horseback riding, took a scenic ride to Highlands and saw some beautiful waterfalls along the way. Watching the rafters and fishermen drift by was awesome entertainment! The ice cream shop and BBQ places on the property were a plus! We ate at Boots in Sylva for dinner one night which was great. Had tasty breakfast and lunch one day at River's End at the NOC. It was a wonderful long weekend and everyone in our party is already talking about going back! Thank you to our host Nolan who was very easy to communicate with and helpful with recommendations.

Up on arrival the place just look like a group of abandon buildings. (because all but this house are) The inside was not bad just not well kept. The property though was unusable. Down trees, brush and over growth was ridiculous. The deck was to the point of being dangerous to be on. The ice cream shop and barbecue restaurant that were on the property and next door were shutdown by the health department last May and were still not open. Overall it just gave you the movie Deliverance feeling. We even got to see some guys getting high behind the ice cream shop one night. We really need to do more research on the rentals before we ever do this again.

You Want the River? Then you want this house!

First off, Nolan is an amazing owner that contacts you immediately to make sure you know what to expect and give you great insight into the area. If you are looking for perfection, this is not your house. If you're looking for a river experience like no other, this is your house! The house has a wonderful personality and is very maintained with EVERYTHING you need for your stay. GREAT beds and fully stocked for all things needed. You want cable TV and video games? Then you've come to the wrong place. You want peace, tranquility, and one of the best places to fish for trout...then you've come to the right place! We so loved the burgers and pizza next door...the endless campfires...and waving non stop at all the rafters coming by. We grilled, fished, rafted, laid around, and enjoyed Bryson City. This house has an awe to it that you would see on every rafter's face coming by. We've traveled the world over but will say, we so loved our time there and it will go down as one of the best places we have ever stayed. We're so thankful for the time we had at the RIVER HOUSE.

Awesome Property. Amazing views and right on the river and in the middle of rafting haven.

I am a true rating person. I rate the property on the property not versus other properties. Our family wanted something on the river and right in the heart of the rafting area. This was perfect. It is more like a tree house than a cabin but it was awesome. Our kids felt right at home and the river is perfectly safe to walk into right out behind the cabin. The deck is over the river and two of the upstairs bedrooms look directly at the river. In fact the master bedroom feels as if it's over the river as you can open up the windows and hear the river. Now this isn't a luxury rental but it's clean as a whistle and is truly a jewel. It's located right off HWY 19 so there is a little road noise but every cabin up here is right off the road. There is a great rafting outfit steps from your door that is #1 on Trip Advisor and does an excelllent job. Awesome picnic area and fire pit right on the river. Fun playground too. This is a deal folks and you want be disappointed. The set up of the house is perfect and you don't feel like your on top of each other. You won't go wrong with this affordable rental. We will be back for sure!

I don't think the location can be beat - riverside and peaceful. The extensive descriptions of the property are accurate. Everything you need from a comfy place for a nice weekend boating.

We completely renovated this home recently. We have loved the Nantahala River and surrounding area for many years and treasure time there. We have been avid whitewater boaters, mountain bikers, hikers and all around nature lovers - we had a rafting business here for many years - started in the 70’s!! That business was sold and has moved so the Riverhouse is now a wonderfully private place to enjoy all the activities available in this area. Of course the whitewater boaters and rafters will be floating by on their way down the river during the summer. We enjoy offering our wonderful home for others to enjoy and would very much appreciate feedback on how we can improve your next stay! Please leave a review on VRBO for us. Pourquoi avoir choisi cet hébergement ?

The River House is Uniquely riverfront - right on the river! The location is grandfathered, no new houses can be built like this! You can watch the whitewater boaters go by during day: "own" the river by yourself in morning and evening hours. Cast your fishing line right off the back deck, best native rainbow & browns as well as stocked! It is one mile from NOC Resort and 15-20 minutes from Tsali Mountain Bike and Horse Riding trails and Zip lines, high ropes course and both Cherokee and Murphy Casinos nearby. Ruby mining, waterfall hikes & most any other outdoor activity you can think of is nearby!

The River House has much to offer: outside grilling area and picnic area right by the river. Inside the kitchen and great room look directly out onto the river. Bedrooms are upstairs-- allowing quiet for those needing rest if others are awake downstairs. The master has a king bed, with memory foam topper. The smaller bedrooms suitable for adults/ children. There are two full baths - shower upstairs and a bathtub with shower downstairs. Our home is set to enjoy the outdoors, either building a campfire in the fire ring, seating and grills along the riverbank, fishing or just watching through the great room windows, but if you don’t want to be ‘unplugged’ this may not be your place - (No cable TV & no WiFi supplied) good Verizon reception for cell and internet with your own device; flatscreen TV with lots of videos & CD’s.
