Great home, in a quiet neighborhood. We enjoyed our mini vacation at this house but the only issue is washing machine not working and drying as well. Overall a great place. 10/10
The house was very clean and the beds comfortable. The stairs are steep so proceed carefully. The house has the basics in the way of pans, utensils, plates & cups. We were a large group of 2 adults, 2 young adults and 4 teens so for us it would have been helpful to have largers pots and pans but we were able to work with what we had. We had a great comfortable stay and will look for this house again next year!
When shopping for a VRBO rental in Tucson, I needed it to be clean, comfortable and affordable. Desert Oasis was all of these. Could the furniture be newer or in better condition, yes. But was the furniture large enough to snuggle with my grandchildren, absolutely! We did have to make a run to Walmart for washcloths and body wash, but that wasnât a big deal. The beds were comfortable. The property owner/manager was responsive when contacted. We really did enjoy our stay. There were plenty of extra blankets in the linen closet as well. After an 8 hour road trip a comfy place to crash was just what we needed.
After arriving, we learned that the advertised 4 bedrooms was actually only 3. One bedroom was locked & not available so one of us 6 had to sleep on the floor in the living room. Wasnât told of the non-access to the 4th bedroom in advance. Virtually no amenities. There was stale food left in the fridge, only one kitchen towel for drying, barely any soap, no paper towels or Kleenex & no garage access. I contacted the property mgr. and only after I asked did I get the rate discounted. Would not recommend this place.
I would suggest you run from this property before considering to stay here, unless you like a VRBO of camping. We stayed here for 10 days in March. Not sure if someone lives there in between guests, but the first thing we saw was a rack of used shoes and sandals inside the front door. This house is as bare bones and cheaply furnished as it gets. There was so few kitchen supplies we had to borrow cookware. This house might sleep 10 but doesn't have enough bowls, plates, etc. to serve 10. The bunked beds squeaked and rattled causing a bad night's sleep. The washing machine and dryer didn't work so we had to go to the laundry mat. The owner promised a $75 refund because of this that I've yet to get. The BBQ pictured in the listing for this house doesn't work either. The owner did nothing about this. 9 hangers total for 3 bedrooms and no dressers to put clothes. No wash cloths, burned out lights, no hooks to hang towels, no garbage bags, Kleenex, ice maker, etc. Plan on making trips to the store for many things you'd think would be in a VRBO house. The only TV in the house is a 40" Vizio with no cable or satellite service. The porchlight was broken off the wall, creating a tripping hazard at night. By far the worst furnished VRBO house I've ever stayed in. Feel free to contact me at for my full review.
This place was perfect in terms of size and location. Could use some updates but overall a decent spot to stay at. It was clean and thatâs a top must have for us.
