Welcome to Boulder mountain wellness retreat! 1.5 acres on the side of the foothills with unobstructed views of the canyon, trees, sunrise, stars & glow of Boulder while only a 5-minute drive from the heart of town. Enjoy coffee, morning mediation or yoga on either the upper or lower deck with nothing but the sound of hummingbirds and leaves rustling in the mountain breeze. 5 minutes later, you can be walking along Pearl Street or the Farmer’s Market in the quaintest part of Boulder.

We have intentionally created a space with wellness and access to nature as the top priority. The South & East sides of the house are all windows, with 4 sets of French doors and 4 decks to give the feel of being “outdoors” even when in the home. The large lower deck is a favorite for morning or evening yoga, while the large upper deck is a favorite for sunrise coffees, dining al fresco and evening star/moon gazes. If you time your visit, you can watch the full moon rising over Boulder – a magical sight!

We have created a separate wellness area off the side deck, with a pebble “beach”, gas fire pit (another great spot for star gazing!), cold plunge and panoramic barrel sauna with views all the way down the canyon into Boulder. There is a “mother tree” on the property that called to us, so we created a sacred little spot at her base with a bench, a swing and quartz crystals we gathered from the property.

Inside the 3400 sq. foot home, you’ll find a large open space with vaulted ceilings, sunrise-to-sunset natural light, an old-fashioned wood pellet fireplace in colder months, four bedrooms & 2.5 baths. The master suite is stunning, with a queen bed, windows and a door providing direct access to the large upper deck, and a master bath featuring a beautiful glass shower and freestanding tub framed by a large window looking out at the canyon. Take an evening bath while watching the sky change to yellow, orange & purple.

The lower walk-out level features three more comfortable bedrooms, all with queen beds, as well as another full bath (there is another ½ bath on the main level for overflow). We’ve redone the floors on the entire walk-out level in eco-cork, warm and soft so you can live barefoot, enjoying of benefits of being grounded to earth & the natural elements even while inside the house.

Our favorite space in the entire home is the meditation room, with 24-foot floor-to-ceiling windows, filled with plants, luxurious rugs & pillows to chill on. We’ve recently added a new futon in this room as an added sleeping space or comfy place to chill or read. Bask in the sun, the moonlight or watch the snow fall from this magical indoor “snow globe”.

The home is located in Sunshine Canyon, a protected Wildlife Refuge, and you will likely see the resident deer, red fox and potentially even a bear. The Canyon is one of the most popular hiking destinations in Boulder – you can walk from the front door to either Lion’s Lair or the Sunshine Canyon trail. At the base of the Canyon (a 4-minute drive) is access to a dozen more hikes, including Anemone, Dakota Ridge, East Ridge, Goat, Mt. Sanitas, The People’s Crossing, Red Rocks and Sanitas Valley. If you continue up the canyon, you’ll come to the charming old mining town of Gold Hill, with the iconic Gold Hill Inn (featuring local food & live outdoor music). Keep going up and you’ll reach Brainard Lake, a favorite alpine lake for paddleboarding, picnicking and additional hiking. We are also 5 minutes from Boulder Canyon, with beautiful Boulder Creek (for tubing), tons more hiking, rock climbing and access to winter skiing at Eldora Ski Resort.

Our dream is to offer this space to others who wish to connect more deeply with the healing power of nature. We are happy to help schedule meditation, yoga or massage on-site or a local chef to come prepare healthy food during your visit. Just let us know if you are interested in any of these services.

Note: This is NOT a party house, but a space to come be, heal, connect and play in nature! Ideal for couples (or a couple of couples), “wellness retreats” with a small group of friends or families. 7 adult maximum due to Boulder city regulations (1-2 additional children may be allowed, feel free to inquire).
