1 of 4 available units in a beautiful fully restored historic downtown home in the heart of the downtown SA. Rent multiple units if you need more space. Located 3 blocks from the Riverwalk, between the Pearl and Rivercenter. Within walking distance to many of downtown San Antonio's best attractions. Relax by the pool or walk to any of the local hotspots. Within a mile of The Convention Center, The Alamo, The Pearl, The Tobin Center, The Magestic, The Alamodome, Hemisphere Park, dozens of breweries, restaurants and bars.
The space is a gorgeous custom renovation of a 110 year old home split into four luxury private apartments with hand crafted industrial elements. Backyard oasis with pool, dining table, and bbq grill. Full custom kitchen, washer/dryer, private front and back patio. Bedroom has California King Tempur-Pedic bed. Living room has queen memory foam sleeper. Convenience items: washer and dryer, coffee maker, coffee, iron, hairdryer, earplugs, clock/sound machines, cookware, utensils, cocktail glasses, insulated koozies, wine glasses, and tumblers to take your drinks outside. Setup for vacationers wanting to see the best of San Antonio or business travelers with meetings downtown or at the convention center would like the to see the city and have the feel of a home instead of just another hotel room.

    Really nice and very comfy place , swimming pool very nice and relaxing, bars and entertainment very close, we love are stayed, we definitely stayed there again when visiting San Antonio again.

    Clean, modern, and cozy. Close to downtown. Great food within walking distance.Was a little loud at night, but nothing excessive, couple things need replaced(coffee maker, righthand night stand, wooden patio table. We would stay again. Look forward to it!

    Home away from home

    I've only ever stayed in hotels. I was very nervous and scared. Tanner made sure to stay in communication with me, which eased my nerves. The Monty is beautiful. It's beautiful inside and out. It is in the perfect location, close to downtown. Definitely will be back and staying here! Thank you Tanner for providing a place for myself and kids to come stay and still like we are at home

    The property manager needs to be more transparent about the location. It’s right next to an interstate but the worst part is it is right next to the La Roca night club which blast music so loud it is deafening in the house and they play their music until 2:00a.m. on the weekends and midnight during the week. The pool area was dirty.

    Lisa, I am so sorry you didn’t enjoy your stay. I really wish you had mentioned something during your 4 day stay so I could have tried to rectify any issues. I reached out to check on you and you did not mention any issues, as I would have jumped all over it to make your stay great. The listing does describe it as in the heart of the nightlife and does disclose possible noise issues with the bar next door. There is a noise ordinance that should be keeping their noise down but I didn’t know you were having an issue or I would have called the city to address. As far as the pool I apologize as this is the first I am hearing about this as well. It is professionally cleaned every week and I would have sent someone in, to address any of your concerns if I knew there was an issue. It is hard as a host when guests don’t say anything during their stay, giving the host the opportunity to fix. Sadly I didn’t know there was an issue until you wrote this review. In the future it would be helpful for any host to have the chance to fix a concern instead of just giving them a bad review.

    Tanner grew up in San Antonio and then returned after serving in the USAF. He spent 12 years in Wealth Management and the last few years designing and rebuilding historic homes. "The Monty" was a 2 years of blood, sweat, and tears; however now it is his favorite project. He loves providing a stay at a place that feels more like a home, after traveling for years, he grew tired of night after night in hotel rooms. This was the reason for the creation of The Monty, to give business travelers and vacationers a special place to enjoy the great town of San Antonio with the feeling of being a local instead of a tourist.

    Tanner chose this neighborhood for its central location and walkability to so many of the local hot spots. He loved this historic district's local charms, that come without the feeling of normal tourist hotel, giving guests a more genuine experience of downtown.
