Updated Craftsman home, quiet setting, porch swing overlooking Old Town Park.
Peaceful location, close to Uptown, groceries, shopping and restaurants, near Otterbein College, Hoover Reservoir and Inniswood Metro Gardens, or just relax and take a walk across the street to Olde Town Park. You'll also find the Ohio to Erie trail a short walk away where you can hike or bike south to the Ohio River or north to Lake Erie if you're into adventure. Uptown boasts 4th Friday Street Festivals during the summer, visit the many restaurants and shops or just enjoy a dip of ice cream at Graeters, a glass of wine at Good Vibes or a Beer at Old Bag of Nails, or maybe take in Concerts in the Park at Alum Creek North Park near Otterbein campus. During the season you're only about a half hour drive to the Horseshoe to watch THE Ohio State Buckeyes. You're also about 20 minutes from John Glen Columbus International Airport. The driveway is very long and you can park a truck, RV, boat and a couple of cars. The driveway goes through to an alley.
Home was very clean and comfortable. Had everything we needed. Love that we could walk to the shops and restaurants in uptown Westerville. Also like having the Lake to Erie trail so close! Would definitely rent this again.
Stayed in this cozy cottage over long weekend to attend granddaughterâs art presentation at Otterbein. Very comfortable layout for visiting. Very responsive and accommodating host. Wish we could have rented for Otterbein graduation weekend but not available.
The neighborhood felt safe. The house was nice and freshly cleaned. The only negative was the beds were high for seniors as well as the mattresses were like sleeping on concrete slabs. Pretty uncomfortable!
We were delighted to be able to stay here a second time. This time we attended a granddaughterâs graduation at Otterbein. It felt like coming home. All was good, as it was for our first stay. Host was accommodating, and supplies were plentiful. We especially appreciated water in the fridge and coffee on the counter. The place was clean, the beds were comfortable, and the kitchen/dining/living room spaces were great for visiting. Highly recommend staying here.
We enjoyed our stay in this beautiful home. The hosts went out of their way to communicate with us before, during and after our stay. It was a perfect place to rest after a wonderful family wedding.
We really enjoyed this house with quaint touches like stained glass windows and a claw foot tub. I also loved the location with a park across the street.
This house is amazing! It is perfectly stocked with everything you could need to have a relaxing getaway. I used the amazing kitchen everyday, the bathroom upstairs is a dream and the bed was so comfortable. We were here for 10 days as a working vacation. The porch is perfect to watch the deer and wildlife in the beautiful park across the street. Parking is super easy and private. The hosts have thought of everything and are super easy to deal with. This is a great house. If we ever need to stay in Westerville again, we will stay here.
This home was beautiful and had everything you could need. All check in and check out directions are clearly stated and the owners are incredibly responsive. We will be back to stay in this home again.
Loved walking into town through the cute neighborhoods. Uptown had great people, restaurants and bars. Very safe.
Close to Alum creek if you're a boater.
We were there for my daughterâs State Trap tournament at Blackwing Shooting Range. The house is very clean, organized, and welcoming. I absolutely loved it. Hope to be able to stay here next year too!
Our family recently stayed at this home while visiting our 94-year-old mother in assisted living at Inniswood. During our visit, our mother sadly passed away, and we needed to extend our stay. Gary, the owner, was exceptionally helpful and compassionate throughout this difficult time, making the process of extending our stay smooth and stress-free.The property itself is outstanding. It's within walking distance to downtown Westerville, and thereâs a convenient path in the other direction leading to Giant Eagle. A lovely park is also located just across the street. The house is beautifully maintained, with outstanding beds and very comfortable couchesâboth rare qualities in many rental homes. This is a wonderful property, and we would highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area.
Son & Daughter in Law who are Westerville residents, hosted family Christmas. 13 was a few too many to be housed within their walls, so we rented this Craftsman for overflow!! Over the past 2 decades, I have rented many houses and this is hands down the cleanest property of the lot.Location was great for us, about 2 miles from family and very close to downtown. Neighborhood, with its narrow streets made the Christmas decorations magical!Owner laid out all details for checkin and out. Definitely recommend!
One very cool aspect of the house is actually the many bird sounds you can hear early in the morning. My family and I aren't used to it so waking up to birds chirping was a nice surprise! The home was great, clean, and nice to play board games and chill out with friends and family whike at the home.
The most thoughtfully appointed rental Iâve ever stayed in by far. Everything was easy to locate and instructions were clear. We only missed a full length mirror but that was minor.
Having a family member with mobility issues, I always add any considerations for those travelers. In this case, the beds are HIGH. Stools are provided but could be unsafe depending on ability to transition in/out of bed or for some children. Wonât affect the vast majority but worth mentioning as Iâd want to know in advance.
We will be back- hopefully when the weather is better so we can walk the neighborhood. Great location!
We stopped using VRBO rentals because of the exorbitant fees tacked on to the rentalâŠaround 30+ percent above the rental cost.
But this was Our Christmas with the grandkids, so we needed a table and kitchen.
The place was SO nice and so well located that we felt it was worth the extra fees. I wish there was a way for these awesome hosts to be able to cut VRBO out of itâŠbut we would gladly stay there again.
I chose this property for two reasons:
(1) Appearance
(2) Proximity
The house delivered on both! We walked all over the uptown area, down to the library, over to Otterbein to visit our grandson, and across the street to the park. The area invites strolling and the house is a comfortable place to relax and visit!
My husband and I were in town for a visit with family members who live in the Columbus area. This was a charming home to stay in which was close to our family
members. We appreciated the cleanliness of the property and the attention to details that the hosts provided.
Very nice additions to an older house. Really makes it very modern, and we loved it.
Very quiet neighborhood and the park across the street was perfect for our 4 yr old.
Great location on the outskirts of Polaris and a 20 minute drive to the zoo.
Only thing we would suggest would be a Kureg or single cup coffe maker.
As a host, we've always enjoyed traveling and meeting people from all over. The thought of having others experience the charm of the area is rewarding and we look forward to sharing what we love.
We fell in love with Westerville and everything it has to offer. That is why we wanted the opportunity to share our community with others. We sometimes forget how much there is to do in the area and to help to introduce others to Central Ohio is rewarding.
The Craftsman design with a large front porch for everyone to gather is the best draw to this property. Having the charm of a 100 year old home with modern conveniences gives you the best of both worlds. The location basically being walking distance to so many amenities and opportunities as well as being directly across the street from Old Towne Park makes this an ideal location. You may not want to leave.
