Welcome to Double Black Diamond where it is all about location location location! Find yourself creating lasting memories at this Moonridge custom designed home that is only within 1/4 mile of Bear Mountain with a trolley stop directly across the road for access to Bear Mountain and the Village. Large lodge with a long list of cooking amenities, a large family room featuring a cultured stone fireplace and separate game room with a pool table. Truly an all-season family friendly escape!
Kitchen: Fully stocked kitchen with everything you can imagine. Features an Original to home-Vintage wall mounted AM/FM radio, cassette player and record player. A few cassettes included and records in the tv stand in the living room. Nostalgic and fun!! In addition, the kitchen features three types of Coffee Makers: Keurig, Regular Carafe Coffee Maker and filters, and a Pour Over Coffee Maker. The coffee bar also offers disposable coffee cups and lids to take your drinks to go with a drawer of coffees, teas, hot chocolate, 4 types of sweeteners, and creamer. The kitchen has two sets of cookware-stainless steel and Teflon coated, a bread maker, griddle, crockpots both large and small, separate ice maker, blender, waffle maker, air fryer, electric kettle, toaster and a drawer of kid dishes. Bakeware, cutting boards, measuring cups, pizza stones. Everything to cook for the family gatherings/holidays including a full stand of spices. Extra salt, pepper, sandwich bags and aluminum foil. Lots of flatware and dishes.
Living Room: Features a work area/bar seating with stools to look at views of slopes. Electronic dartboard mounted to wall. Candles with remotes located throughout the room in addition to a Smart TV with streaming. Extra dart tips and flights in the top drawer of the TV stand. The living room has a wood stove for cold days and cozy nights.
Game Room: Featuring an electric fireplace with remote and two oversized leather couches with 4K TV for family movies. Bar height chess/checkers table. Pool table with linen playing surface. Shuffleboard. Seated Pac-Man video arcade to include original Pac-Man, Pac-Man Plus, Pac & Pal, Pac-Mania, Super Pac-Man and Pac-Land, along with Galaga and Dig Dug. Wall-mounted Scrabble game. Board games and toddler puzzles. Toddler-size picnic table made from skateboard decks. Children`s play area with Children`s Step2 kitchen with accessories and toys.
Master Bedroom: Features a King Size bed and Samsung Smart TV with two large captain chairs/seating area. 2 luggage racks. Paintings original to the home done by the owner/artist that built the house.
Bedroom 2: Features two sets of Twin over Full Bunk Beds in addition to a Samsung Smart TV. The room is ready for gaming. Great for kids or teens who want to bring their own system to hook up to the tv.
Bedroom 3: Features a Queen Size Bed with a Samsung Smart TV and desk.
Central A/C: Upstairs only :)
Outdoor Space: Relaxing balcony/deck space with bar seating for 6 and BBQ to stay home and grill all while enjoying views of the slopes of Bear Mountain. Loveseat and two chairs with a coffee table to relax and enjoy the quiet, watch the squirrels and birds and breathe in the mountain air.
We are located in a very quiet neighborhood in the Moonridge area. The Bear Mountain Ski Resort is within 1/4 mile of the home. You may also drive down to Vons, Stater Bros, Walgreens, Maggio`s Pizza and other convenience & groceries stores within 5-min driving distance.
During Winter months, Bear Mountain Ski Resort offers free shuttle service, every 30 mins, to/from Snow Summit. Trolley stops directly across the road for access to Bear Mountain and the Village. If you don`t want to pay for parking and have both skiers and family members that want to hang back at home, takes 10 mins round-trip to drop off the skiers and be back on your deck to enjoy the views of the mountain.

*Amenities for Babies and/or Young children:
Baby gate for stairs located in the closet near the upstairs bathroom. A drawer of children`s bowls, plates, silverware and cups. Step2 kitchen set with toys. Toddler puzzles. Toddler picnic table made of skateboard decks in game room.
- To comply with our city permit, there is a $35 charge for dish cleaning in case they are not washed before your check-out.
- If there is trash in the property, there will be an additional charge of $25 per bag.
- Any guest that violates county or city rules as outlined in our `things to know` and `house rules` sections will be subject to paying a $350 call code attendance fee by our 24:7 call compliance staff in addition to any fines levied by the city, whether it results in a violation or not.
Please remember these rules are mandated and imposed solely by the CITY and our PERMIT/ORDINANCE which requires property management companies to notify all guests that the CITY requires you to sign a rental agreement and the Good Neighbor Brochure to obtain the code to the property as well as provide a copy in the rental agreement app a copy of Governmental ID that matches the name on the reservation. Please notate these and all rules regarding spa hours, trash removal, noise and dishes being washed are due to our permit and not our rules so please keep this in mind before booking as some guests rate us based on rules we must abide by to rent. We appreciate that they are unique rules please do not review us based on the reviews we need to follow, we appreciate it. The code cannot be sent until this agreement is filled out.
(1) Maximum vehicles and guest occupancy permitted is described in the listing. Any violation is subject to eviction and/or cancellation of your stay. If you need additional parking, please contact us directly.
(2) Big Bear Lake does not allow street parking; they will tow any vehicles parked on the street and any towing fees or fines issued are the sole responsibility of the vehicle owner.
(3) Excessive noise or loud music heard at the property line is prohibited by the CITY for the consideration of the local residents. The CITY enforces quiet hours from 10:00 PM â 7:00 AM and will send out code enforcement officers to issue fines/and or evict guests for any violations reported. There will be a $300 administrative fine per Code Call for our team to show up as we are required to attend such code call within 30 minus, plus $100 per hour of our time spent for the violation. This is IN ADDITION to any fines issued by Code Enforcement which start at $500 to $5000 per violation.
(4) Dishes - All dishes must be cleaned before leaving and the house must be left in the same condition that you found it in. Any dirty dishes left in the kitchen are subject to a $45 fee- our housekeepers will unload dishes or put them away but do not wash dishes or dump trash per the law this includes leaving dishes with food on them or left in the home. It also attracts vermin. Please note this is part of our permit and not included in cleaning the home after guests leave.
(5) Trash - All trash must be removed offsite to the free trash sites. Any bags or trash left behind in the bathroom, kitchen (including leaving behind items in the fridge, or outside is subject to a $25 per bag for removal this is not our rule - this is the law and we must abide by it as there is no trash service due to wild animals. Please do not review us based on the law. We provide a dump service if you should want to pay in advance, but we have to send a dump service we cannot have housekeepers take the trash as the CITY does not allow this.
(6) Barbecue- Propane is offered on the honor system on any firepit or BBQ. Please do not leave the firepit or BBQ on unattended. Please clean the BBQ after use. If by chance the propane runs out, please let us know and we will send someone to replace it. Please make sure all propane is turned off after use. Big Bear does not allow the use of charcoal of lighter fluid. Please be advised if you run out of propane and it is after hours we cannot promise after hours refills late at night as the stores may not be open.
(7) Pet- The home is strictly not pet friendly as the owners have severe allergies. Any violation is subject to eviction and a $3500 fine plus damages to the home will be charged.
(8) Hot Tub â No hot tub use after 10pm per the law any time a spa is left open and the cover off more than 30 mins a fine of $250 per hour will be due plus damages to the spa as this can result in pipes freezing - if a user error or maintenance is found or if we have to dump and fill water prior to your stay due to cleanliness requirements - we cannot be held liable nor grant refunds for a spa not being at the temperature desired or if left uncovered - if we have to dump the water it can take 24 hours for it to warm up. This is out of our control as sometimes the water has to be dumped and can take 24 hours to warm up. This will not be grounds for a refund.
(9) Parties or noise ordinance calls â any parties, events, unauthorized guests or noise complaints will result in immediate eviction with no refund.
