Tucked away on 3 quiet acres of native rainforest, this peaceful Big Island vacation rental is just 2 miles from Volcanoes National Parkâthe perfect cabin retreat to unwind with family and friends.
Purposefully built from cedar boards and beams, this home is uniquely suited to naturally weather the rainforestâs moisture and environment, while enhancing its connection to the surrounding forest.
The moment you step inside, soaring ceilings with tongue-and-groove cedar draw your eye toward a massive wall of windows framing an immersive view of the âĆhiÊ»a forest (a native Hawaiian tree) beyond.
The open-concept living roomâfurnished with a cozy couch, chairs, and blanketsâis ideal for curling up with a book in the misty quiet of the rainforest. It flows into a rustic yet highly functional kitchen equipped with all the amenities you need to prep, cook, and entertain.
Head upstairs to enjoy an even more immersive forest view through the windows. This level also features a smart TV and couch for movie nights, a daybed perfect for afternoon naps or extra guests, and a full bathroom with a shower.
Back on the main floor, three bedrooms are located down the hallway. The master bedroom includes a comfy king-size bed and an en suite bathroom with a shower. The other two bedroomsâone with a queen bed and the other with two twin bedsâshare a bathroom with a tub/shower combo.
Youâll have complete access to the cabin, which includes an open-concept kitchen and living room, 3 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, a large lanai (patio), and an upstairs open loft with a couch, flatscreen TV, and daybed.
Guests will have the pictured cabin space to themselves. Our on-site hosts live in a completely separate unit on the bottom floor of the cabin. The homes are locked off from each other with no shared spaces. Theyâre available to help with anything you may need, but will respect your privacy throughout your stay.
Our hosts live on site and will respect your privacy while you enjoy the space, but theyâre available to assist if needed.
The cabin is located in Volcano Village, a quiet and small town known for its active arts center, a handful of restaurants, and cozy coffee shops. Thanks to the abundant sunshine and rainfall, the area is filled with lush foliage and thriving wildlife.
Due to the villageâs remoteness, having a car is essentialânot only for getting to and from the area but also for easier access to the National Park.
There is also a small cottage adjacent to the cabin that shares the driveway. This space may house other Airbnb guests but is a great option if you're traveling with a large group. Discounts can be offered if you book the cabin and cottage together.
The property is shared with another Airbnb listing. Please keep outside noise to a minimum.
