One of a kind Christmas year round in downtown Dillsboro
Come stay with us in our private Christmas Get away above the Nancy Tut Christmas Shop, in downtown Dillsboro. Santa allows us to rent his mountain retreat from time to time, and this beautiful 2 bedroom and 1 bathroom get away is available. We are located directly above the Christmas Shop only 100 feet away from the Historic Jarrett House, and walking distance to everything else in Dillsboro. Our historic little town offers full walkability to several restaurants, bars and shops. Its like taking a step back in time as a bunch of the buildings in this cute little town have been there for over 130 years.
Wonderful family Christmas experience! The Host communicated well and provided all the information we needed to enhance our experience. The home was as advertised⊠decorated for Christmas in every inch of space. The space was clean and well stocked. It was the perfect weekend to go with all the festivities in Dillsboro. The location would be great any time of the year. We will rebook in the future.
Dillsboro is a GREAT town, and this Christmas themed space above the year-round Christmas shop was just magical for my son with Down syndrome. Santa's Land is open May to November, and Polar Express runs Nov to Jan! This is a very reasonably priced option with lots of space for friends or families. Walk out the front door to everything Dillsboro, Sylva, Cherokee, and Bryson City have to offer! We'll be back!
The space was very clean. We absolutely loved the Christmas theme! The location is great! It is within walking distance of shops and restaurants. Chris was very welcoming and amazing with communication.
Our stay was Sept 12-14, the apt is cute as can be! So many unique, fun touches! Easy to fin, easy parking, great location with many walkable restaurants. Comfy bed, everything needed is easy to find. Thanks for a great stay, we would stay there again!!
This property exceeded our expectations. The pictures donât do it justice, in our opinion. Itâs perfectly clean, with a Christmas tree in every single space. Itâs an easy 20 minute drive up to the Great Smoky Mountain Railroad for the Polar Express and was such a fun place for our 2 y.o. And 6 y.o. to add to the Christmas magic of the weekend. Check in was simple and quick. Also, breakfast and mimosas at The Foragers Canteen was delicious. There were several other shops and places we wanted to check out but had to hit the road.Definitely recommend this property! Only suggestion would be to bring a baby gate if you have littles - the stairs at the entry are steep and lead right up to the second bedroom so kids have to constantly walk past the top of the stairs.
My mom, daughter and I stayed overnight during lights and lumiaries just for a fun mini-vacay even though we are locals. We had a blast crafting, baking gingerbread men with supplied pans, adorable oven mits, and hot cocoa (did wish we had a rolling pin!) We even brought little wrapped presents to put under our individual trees (there's one in EVERY room!) We watched the Grinch on the comfy green velvet couch in the living room. The antique light switch in the master bedroom is really cool. The whole place is bigger than the pictures look online - and there are no pictures of the living room! It was so nice to be centrally located and after the festivities go to our cool christmas house rather than just hopping in the car to go home! We split the cost 3 ways since it was kind of pricey.
We arrived in Dillsboro on Thursday 9/26 as Helene was beginning her havoc in the area. Lin who works in it the shop below the VRBO checked us in and was so helpful and caring. She made sure we had flash lights and battery operated candles, in case we lost power (which we never did). There were so many shops and restaurants in walking distance we headed out to explore, shop and dine before the weather got too bad. Such a charming area and lovely people. Unfortunately by the next morning the shops and restaurants in the street by the river were under water! Lin came down from her home to check on us because at this point we had lost cell and internet service. We had a wonderful stay in a lovely and comfortable VRBO.
