We had a lovely stay! The home was gorgeous. Loved the area. My husband and I traveled w his two sisters. They had upstairs bedrooms w jack n Jill bathroom, and we had the master. There was a tub to step over in master, but not the upstairs bathroom. So we used a washcloth to step onto to make sure we didn't slip getting amin and out of the tub.I would have loved to have had a hard copy in a binder with all the home rules. We had spotty wifi, so it was hard to sign on to VRBO sometimes, and it would have been nice to be able to refer to something in print for wifi password, etc., so I didn't feel like I was bothering the host.
Very good location. Short walk to downtown shopping and lots of great places to dine. Need to upgrade wifi systems and tv cable provider. Very inconsistent signal and weak.
Nice home in nice neighborhood, very clean and bright. However, not steps to queen street, more like 5 long blocks so older folks should know that. Plenty of parking in town. WiFi was slow and couldnât get streaming services on the TV. The main room furniture uncomfortable. But we had a great trip. Beautiful area to visit.
I booked this place to celebrate with my two sister the 65th birthday of my eldest sister. She is a bit of a princess and needs to be staying in wonderful places. her level of comfort/tastes and needs run high lets say.
I had looked at hotel options but I new stay where she could have her own room and bathroom would make a big difference. This home did not disappoint and out of character she told me how pleased she was with it. We had a small issue which could have been a big one, but the property owner dealt with it quickly and without burdening us during our visits. I was a well managed hiccup with a bath tub faucet. we were all impress with the cleanliness the ease of check in the safety and security of the location. I went to the corner gas station to buy some milk for coffee. There is a breakfast place just at the corner and a Tim Hortons close by. We were able to cook in the sweet and everything we needed pots and pans/ utensils are there. Bring your own staples butter, milk, coffee etc.
highly recommended. We did take our car to the main strip. it is walkable but it would be a good walk. the streets are lovely and well treed and there are some parks and a gorgeous old cemetary not to far on your walk with historical building and lovely old home. Hope you like it as much as we did.
House was perfect for our group of 4! Newly updated kitchen, good bed/bath configuration. Loved the art throughout the house. A/C was good, location was convenient to town & things to do.
5 older ladies needed comfy rooms with at least 3 washrooms. 1 toilet was plugged when we got there, almost empty rolls of toilet paper, dusty house, entrance had pot of smelly wet cigarette butts, smike detectirs not attachedbutts
We were in town for a funeral so it was a somber visit. However, having a well maintained quiet place to stay was perfect. The hosts answered all questions and the house was well appointed. The town was pretty to walk around in the evening. Not a far drive to St. Catharineâs where our events were happening. I would recommend and stay again.
Great natural light, clean, bedding and towels nice, generous on soaps and shampoo's. Suggestions : kitchen was light on supplies and no wine opener. Needed scissors,candles/lighter or flashlights (power went out),bigger coffee mugs, ice maker on fridge didnât work and/or no instructions. Living room couches were not comfortable to sit and chat or watch TV. Would rent again though as overall was a great experience!!!! Great bedrooms and bathrooms!!
Overall, the house is beautiful and very clean. Great location and right around the corner from Tim Hortons. You should be aware the check in process does go through third party and requires drivers license to be uploaded. There also was a security deposit that I was not aware of. We came for one night and I thought that was odd. Other than that, the house was great.
The property was nice and location good. The issue we had was the TV would not connect to the internet and this was the only way to watch it. (See other reviews) Seems like he knew he had a problem with the TV not working before we arrived. The reason this was a big issue for us is that we are big tennis fans and could not watch the US Open. After contacting the host he said he would give us a credit, which I still have not received after several months. .
Also, I left a pair of jeans by accident and he said he would mail to me. I never received them and was told that my TV credit would cover the cost of shipping to me, $250? So I would not stay at his home again.
The property is perfectly located. Just as the pictures show. Had an issue with the coffee maker but the problem was taken care of, and a new coffee maker arrived shortly. It is nice that a Tim Horton's is right around the corner. Could use better Wi-Fi, but overall, the place is great and would definitely stay there again.
