Rare bay waterfront home with 145' of SANDY BEACH!!! Pets welcome!!
This beautiful waterfront bay home offers so many unique and wonderful experiences. You have 145 feet of private sandy beach right out the back door. Most properties along the bay have seawalls and very limited water access, here its sandy beach all the way across!! Enjoy watching the dolphins and getting some sun while laying out on your own private beach, under the beautiful palm trees and Spanish moss covered cypress trees. This property really is the perfect family vacation home and offers many amenities and experiences to accommodate you and your family. Donât forget to bring your boat!
Outside was great! Beautiful view, yard, beach, deck! Inside not so great! Dirty carpet covered with pet stains, towels were rough and very used looking.
Pro: nice location on the water - spacious house - comfy bed - kitchen has mostly everything you need for extended stay - 15 min. ride to the Naval Aviation Museum - quiet neighborhoodCons: The carpet as soon as you walked in and through the hallway was covered with stains, as if from pets. It was a disappointment, and I would recommend as another renter did, to replace it because it is an eyesore - the sliding glass door needs lubrication because it was hard to open/close - a toaster in the kitchen would have been nice to have.
Our host could not have been nicer or more accommodating. The place was beautiful and cozy. We had everything we needed and some. John was available and quick to respond when we had questions.
This property, including its furnishings, is worn and has seen better days. Basic supplies such as garbage bags and paper towels, as well as soaps and shampoos, and towels and washcloths were either missing or in short supply. Among other disappointments were the heavily stained carpeting in the main rooms (well beyond what you would expect with a property that welcomes dogs) and the loose boards and popped nails on what is otherwise a very nice deck. The outdoor swing shown in the photos has been taken down and left by the side of the deck. The bar stools shown in the photos are too low for the breakfast counter, similarly the dining chairs are also the wrong height for the dining table. Also unexpected was the nearly 90 degree temperature inside the house when we checked in, which took many hours to cool down. I have stayed in several VRBOs this year and this property was very disappointing in comparison, especially for the price that was charged. Both the neighborhood and Perdido Bay were quiet, apart from the leaf blowers used each morning and evening by the neighbors, and the view was lovely.
John was super quick to respond to any questions we had- great communication. The view and access to the water was just a described in listing/photos- perfect view and easy access. The home is roomy and great for a family.
A few items that we felt could be improved⊠the carpet has a lot of stains and looks as if it needs to be replaced. There was no kitchen dish cloths or pot holders to get items out of the oven. The deck has some nail pops and uneven boards which was a little concerning and a bit of a hazard.
We still enjoyed our time and the beautiful view.
