We came on vacation with our 2 boys and grandparents in their 80âs. The grandparents couldnât make it out to the beach so having the bay in the back yard was amazing. We disconnected and had an amazing time. Our doodles swam every day in the bay, we fished tons and are going home with lots of memories. We loved this house. It was perfect for a week with family. The kayaks were a great treat. We will definitely be back.
The property was very clean and spacious. The dock and back patio was definitely a highlight. Was not a far drive from fun locations. great communication from property manager. highly recommend staying here. will definitely come back and stay here again.
We were looking for a peaceful place away from the hustle and bustle of spring break and this was exact that. We loved the dock, the small beach, the deck, and the fire pit area. The house works, it wasn't as clean as I prefer and there were a few maintenance issues that need to be resolved which I trust that the host will take care of. Overall we were pleased with our stay.
We loved staying at Uncle Tubby's!! This was our first trip to the area to visit our son. We would stay here again.
The outdoor space was amazing. Michelle was a great host and responded quickly with any inquires. The dock and fire pit were the highlights of our stay. We grilled and made smores. We loved exploring the bay on the kayaks.
The rooms were nice and the AC was perfect. The check in and easy entry was great.
Can't wait to come for our next visit!
We were in town for a memorial service. It was nice to stay in one location with my children and grandson. The weather was decent and the cottage was cozy. We did not have the time to fully enjoy the waterfront features, but our stay allowed us to be together during a difficult time for our family. Thank you for sharing your cottage.
The house was disgusting, with roaches on the counter and a thick layer of dirt on the floor. Additionally, there were dirty dishes in every cabinet. Now, the pier, which is one of the main features of this property, had poison ivy growing all along it when we arrived, plus most of the lights on the pier were inoperable, making it dangerous to be on at night. I personally am not a clean freak but when you walk into a house and hear dirt crunching below your feet itâs a little concerning. Plus this property claiming to have a private beach is just completely a lie there is no beach private or not itâs just not there.
The reservation process and communication with the property mgr could not have been better. The interior of the home was pretty much as advertised, however, it did have more of a "lived in" look than the photos display. Also, several lamp light bulbs were either missing or burned out. That was surprising. You would think a simple fix like changing a burned out or missing bulb would be done prior to new renters arriving. Also, we did find evidence under a pantry door that the home may have been flooded at some point (rotted wood). But, for a 38 year old home, the interior is in pretty good shape. The exterior of the home, however, was disappointing. Very little upkeep was evident. Both the front and back yards were unkept. And, the table at the end of the dock hadn't been cleaned. That, too, was surprising. Something that would be very simple to do, wasn't done. Over all, I would give the home and grounds a 6 out of 10 rating.
Were just a laid back easy going Christian couple who love fishing, boating, and hanging out with friends and family. We have had a lot of fun creating these places for people to get together and enjoy the Pensacola area. We value our guests input and suggestions and always strive to create amazing experiences for our guests. Y'all come enjoy another beautiful day in Paradise with us!
This property is our favorite. It's sitting on the beautiful Pensacola bay where you can fish, paddle board, kayak, or just watch a beautiful sunrise or sunset. Not only that, but it's rich in history. The White family has lived in this area for over 100 years, and we had the great honor of being able to obtain Uncle Tubby's place. If you want to know the local history, Miss Maxine lives two doors down and would be happy to tell you all about Uncle Tubby and give you a history lesson while she's at it. This area is quiet, relaxing and secluded, but still just a short drive to Pensacola attractions, as well as Orange Beach, and Gulf Shores Alabama.
