Hooked On Sanibel
I'm not sure why this AWESOME condo has never received a review but i am happy to do the first! This unit is as if the owners have just stepped out and left everything of their own for the use of someone staying there. The kitchen is fully stocked with every item that a home you have lived in for many years would have; from drink ware and plates to small appliances. The cabinets in the living room/den area are full of reading materials and movies. The walls are full of family picture collage frames with dates from recently to as far back as the 1990's. My husband and I loved looking at them and imagining the good times that have been had there through the years even though we didn't know anybody :) It gave the condo a very personal feel. The condo has a "lived in" feel while at the same time being of pristine cleanliness. The towels provided in the bathrooms were fluffy and sparkling white. The very LARGE patio which overlooks the pool and the gulf does not have your typical "hotel balcony" plastic chairs but wicker furniture with cushions probably four to six inches thick as well as an outdoor dining set to enjoy a meal while listening to the waves! Each condo has its' own designated parking spot and the one for T305 is right next to the elevator. When you step out of your vehicle you are practically already on the elevator, which was very nice because we could not find any luggage carts. We were later told that we could have called the resort. As first time visitors to Sanibel we were a little surprised that the toll to get onto the island was $6 and at the thought of having to pay that each time we wanted to leave the island for something and then come back again; however, we never left the area where we were staying, there is no need to. You have Bailey's General Store, Periwinkle Place and more boutiques and restaurants than you will have time to visit with just a week's vacation! Please consider this condo for your family vacation if you are headed to Sanibel, you will not be disappointed! Also, sometimes pictures have a way of not being able to get the true "feel" of a place and this is a VERY large condo, the master bedroom and the living room/den area are HUGE! There is no ceiling fan in the master br so we went to Walmart and purchased an inexpensive box fan and left it when we checked out. Hopefully it will be left for others to enjoy too! (Note to property mgmnt; the iron provided in the master br closet is broken).
