pleasure to talk with
As a family we are going for all the State Parks in California. This year was Sequoia National Park. The house a perfect location from the Trail of 100 Giants. With four bedrooms , two baths and lots of family room it was the perfect house. Bunk beds for the kids, rooms for the adults fit our family.
But the biggest hit was the rope swing. The children were on it from the time they got up till dark. Playing outdoors in the large yard was a great thing to see. No devices or tv were ever even asked for. And when the resident deers stopped by and were not afraid of the children, this was so special.
House was stocked with everything you would need, from the kitchen, bathroom towels, games etc. great place to relax and see the redwoods.
Entirely too hot for comfortable vacation stays in July!
It was my fault (as pointed out by the property owner) for not doing more research and reading between the lines of listed amenities. It was well over 102 degrees in the cabin when we arrived. When I messaged the owner I was told there are ceiling fansâŠâŠ.. no a/c was listed in the amenities so itâs my fault for assuming there would be in 100+ degree area. After sending two of the kids outside to get their heads wet to avoid heat stroke we noticed the neighbor (we later found out managed the property for the owners) came and shut the outside water off and said itâs on a timer - we werenât even able to have a water hose for the kids to play with. This was just the temperature chaos, the amount of mouse feces all over the counters, dishes in the cupboards, bedding and in the bathroom upstairs was alarming. Although the property owner emailed me the day before our arrival to tell us they were having a mouse infestation didnât prepare us for the amount of sanitizing we would have to do before we brought our groceries and belongings into the cabin. It is (I can only imagine) a wonderful place for fall/winter stays but July proved nothing but misery for my family and I that traveled nearly 8 hrs to this âmountain retreatâ
