Beautiful grand cottage with walk-out basement and double garage. Nestled in a remote landscaped wilderness setting on the edge of the majestic Bay of Fundy (with the world's highest tides) with great views of Isle Haute and Cape Split. Minutes to the nearest beach, short drive to Hall's Harbour and only 20 minutes to town of Kentville or Berwick. Enjoy an unplugged relaxing holiday at this gorgeous private acreage getaway.
Very comfortable and homey for anyone looking to get away from it all. Close enough to good dining and hiking, but certainly off the beaten path. This property would be great for a family looking to unplug! We would certainly stay here againâŠbut longer!
Edge of Fundy is a unique property offering a spectacular view of the Bay and Mother Nature in all her glory. The exterior of the cottage belies the stunning wood interior with its high ceilings and many large windows facing the water. The owners take great care to provide guests with every comfort of home, including salt water taffy and Nova Scotia Honey Crisp apples.
A beautiful place to stay- lots of room. We never even investigated the lower level! Excellent communication with hosts, who even left a lovely welcome gift. Staying here was a last minute decision and Iâm glad it was available, given that it was a Canadian holiday. (If you plan to cook make sure to bring all the ingredients you need as the kitchen is well outfitted with dishes, pans and appliances, but not the basic cooking spices/oils). We would definitely book again the next time we are in the area.
We stayed for a couple nights during our road trip through Nova Scotia and absolutely loved it. The space was peaceful, clean, cozy and had an incredible view. It was the perfect place to relax after a long day of sightseeing. Jason and Mikaline were fantastic hosts - super responsive and thoughtful. They got back to me right away when I had a question and the welcome gift was such a lovely touch. Thanks again.
Gorgeous and spacious accommodations but difficult to locate at first. The beds were extremely comfortable. The master bathroom was huge however the downstairs bathroom could use finishing. Host was very responsive. We appreciated the apples and taffy as well as the card left to welcome us.
Wow! The listing doesn't do this gem justice! We had a truly magical experience. Even before booking we had excellent communication from the owners who have found their calling in hosting guests. They thought of everything! We'll absolutely be back every chance we get.
Had a beautiful stay at Mikaline & Jasonâs cottage in the Edge of Fundy. Communication from our hosts was great and they made sure we had more than we needed to enjoy our stay. Make sure you have their directions handy as service is spotty and you canât fully relay on Google Maps. But once youâre there itâs a serene spot. Watching the sunset & the stars is a must.
Very quite location, older style home that lots of space and seating, no WiFi and limited data so great place to do a digital detox. It is 25 min from shops so you do need to be well planned with food, including oils herbs coffee tea ect.
Be carefully when putting the address into Google as it took us down a rocky low grade dry weather road.
The basment was musty when we arrived so needed to be aired out.
We stayed for two nights and absolutely loved the whole stay. The house is gorgeous and the property is unreal. We caught the most beautiful sunset ever and would love to stay again! Highly recommend!
If you are looking for a remote location to enjoy all the bay of fundy has to offer here it is!
We loved the space and the size of the kitchen and main living space.
We enjoyed the shoreline at low tides and trips into the Valley for other adventures.
Were in the area for a family wedding.
Was such a lovely place to return to at the end of 5 busy days.
Hosts very responsive when we forgot the keys in someone's purse. Spare set in no time!
Lovely well kept grounds will lovely ocean views.
Beautiful home in a lovely remote location. Owners communicated well and left lovely personalized card and gift for us. House nicely equipped and furnished.
Very impressed with the cottage and its location. Great quiet surroundings and awsome sunset views. My grandkids had a great time and really enjoyed the gift of apples and I enjoyed the saltwater taffy. Cottage had everything we needed.
Would definitely like to stay here again .
Thank Yo
we had a great time in the house, it is well maintained and Jason took care that we will feel at home.
important to note that it is a off grid experience, no Wi-Fi and no convenience stores in the area.
for us it was great, but it is very personal
Highly recommend and you will not go wrong in booking this amazing spot. Getting away from it all starts the moment you turn off the major highway, as your stressors begin to melt away. A 20 minute drive through rolling hills and a bit of a mountain later, you've arrived at The Edge of Fundy and a great and memorable unplugged holiday begins. Jason and Mikaline provide all you need and more. This house is well stocked with everything you need and some you didn't even think you needed! A stunning view, peace and quiet, and gardenscapes that call you to slow down and enjoy what is before you. The only downside was the initial arrival as the side and dirt roads are not well marked, though that's an issue for the highways people!! From the moment of check-in, which only requires a code following a text to say you're on your way, Jason and Mikaline make life staying there so simple. There's a great binder full of information and suggestions of sights and places to see. The house is super clean and easy to find things, plenty of room for a good crowd. A great jumping off point to explore the area and return to evenings on the deck or by the fire pit.
We were surprised by the big size of our cottage. It seemed to be very well maintained. There was great information provided in a binder. Bathrooms and kitchen were excellent. It was very quiet. The property was very well looked after (grass cut, flowers). There was even a small trail to a lookout over the coastline. Maybe a 30 minutes walk brought us to an access to the beach where we could watch the tides nicely. As high tides can reach the rocky drop-offs it is better not to walk around far but stay close to the access point. We noticed that there was a TV with a DVD player and a quite big selection of Movies - also for children. We did not find a possibility for watching TV or using WIFI. The road access is a little tricky. We used Chipman Brook Rd and turned left into Sarsfield Rd. We found it but there is no sign telling you that you are on Sarsfield Rd. There was no problem to find the driveway to the Edge of Fundy. We liked the restaurant at Halls Harbor. The best way to get there was for our car via Hiltz Rd and West Halls Harbor Rd. Pelton Mountain Rd and Sullivan Rd look a little rough for a regular car. One can get groceries in Canning or Kentville. We liked it very much to stay at the Edge of Fundy.
