A private dock and seasonal mooring buoy make it simple to bring your boat (dock and mooring buoy installed approximately May 1âOctober 1). Launch a provided kayak at sunrise across glass-calm water, then wade into the gentle, sandy entry while the kids build castles on the large sandy beach. Wind down at the lakeside fire pit with sâmores or a glass of wine as the sky fades to tangerine, swap stories in the Adirondack chairs, and fall asleep to the gentle sounds of the lakeâthis is Houghton Lake at its best!

A chef-ready kitchen makes mealtimes easy, with full cookware, bakeware, prep tools, a coffee & tea station, coffee provided, and basic oils & spices. The open living/dining area lets the kids hang out or play upstairs while dinner simmers below. Quality bed linens, fluffy bath towels, and both propane and charcoal grills (propane provided, charcoal not) help you settle in quickly. Grill out on the patio and serve sunset dinners just steps from the water. In the evenings, cozy-up by the gas fireplace with hot cocoa and a movie on the Smart TV with streaming appsâperfect for unwinding after a day on the lake or trails.

In winter, hit nearby snowmobile/ORV trails or cross-country ski by day, then warm up by the gas fireplace with hot cocoa at night. Parking at this property is tight and limited, so please plan vehicles accordingly. This is a corner-lot home in a lakefront neighborhood with one close neighbor next door and many full-time residents nearbyâguests are expected to be mindful and respectful of the community during their stay. An electronic lock makes for smooth self-check-in, and guests will need to provide their own firewood for the fire pit. We give guests their space but are available if you need anything.
