Set on a double lot the home was refreshed in 2023 with guest-friendly upgrades: fully stocked kitchen, high-speed cable Wi-Fi, air conditioning, plush bed & bath linens. Large home and yard give families space to spread out, play lawn games, and step straight to the water from your private dock! Designed for large families and extended stays, it sleeps 8 comfortably (beds for up to 14) across 4 bedrooms and 2 full baths. Welcome to Southern Shores!

Lake life, done right:
Launch from your private dock, secure your boat to the mooring buoy, or slip out on the two kayaks for a sunrise paddle. Evenings mean s’mores around the lakeside fire pit and a big-sky star show! There’s ample parking for vehicles, trailers, and toys—bring the boat, snowmobiles, or ORVs.

Cook, gather, unwind:
A chef-ready kitchen (full cookware, bakeware, prep tools) plus coffee provided, and basic oils & spices. Open living/dining gives the kids space to play while dinner simmers. Quality bed linens, fluffy bath towels, and a pack ’n play for little travelers make it easy to settle in. Blackstone propane grill for outdoor cooking. Adirondack chairs & towels and s’mores sticks are stocked for the shoreline. Grill out on the deck and serve sunset dinners steps from the lake!

Four seasons of fun:
Summer boating and tubing, crisp-air hikes, and nearby ORV/snowmobile trails. We’re open year-round with plowed access—bring your tip-ups for ice fishing or plan a snowy sledding day. The lake delivers in every season! Lake Dock and Boat Mooring Bouy are installed May 1st through October 1st.

Houghton Lake winter waterfront: Excellent Tip-Up-Town USA accessible location – Just ~6 min (3 mi) from the DNR Boat Launch Lakeview Park, off M-55. Fish the ice, ride the trails, ski XC; Hanson Hills 30 mi, Treetops 60, Caberfae Peaks 67—cozy-up in the evenings enjoying cups of hot cocoa!

• Depth: about waist-deep at the end of the ~80’ dock (varies with water levels)
• Boats: no mooring at the dock; use the mooring buoy (set in ≥ 36" of water; suitable for deep-V drafts)
