Maison familiale du centre-ville de Kennebunkport

Notre Nouvelle-Angleterre de la fin des années 1800 se trouve dans une rue calme et sans issue, à distance de marche du pittoresque village de Kennebunkport. Nous avons 4 chambres et une chambre pour 8 personnes. Cuisine complète, grande salle familiale, salon, salle de jeux et 2. 5 salles de bain. Porche avant pour le café dans l'une des chaises berçantes. Grande terrasse arrière pour les dîners au coucher du soleil et une grande cour arrière pour les enfants. Grand espace de jeu pour ballon de wiffle, badminton, poufs, etc.

De l'autre côté de la rue, derrière nos voisins se trouve l'école primaire locale avec des terrains de jeux et une grande aire de jeux. Promenade facile au centre-ville pour le dîner, les bars, les marinas, les glaces et le shopping.

Toutes les plages (3 Major Ones) sont à vélo ou à une courte distance en voiture (0,75 à 2,5 miles). Pour les pêcheurs, toutes les marinas, la jetée, les jetti et la rivière Kennebunk sont à 0,25 miles.

Maine Trip

Location - Great location to the Port. Very easy walk to all Kennebunkport has to offer. Owners - Very responsive and accommodating. Home - Well stocked and clean. The yard and back deck are great for enjoying summer nights. We had a great three weeks!

Great vacation home

We stayed here for two weeks, and really enjoyed the property and location. It was perfect for our family of 6 and could have easily supported 8 (or more people). The location was within walking distance of town even for kids, but on a small quiet street which felt charming and private. There also is a nearby school with a playground, which was great for kids! Communication was clear and easy, and the house had everything we needed. Would highly recommend to others.

Great time!

We love the location of the house for walkability to the town and to the beach - a little far to the beach for some of us to walk but driving was fine and were able to park without much trouble at all. Having 3 common areas is great for us to spread out. The deck and the yard are a real plus. We had a great time!

Clean house, great location and awesome for kids!

We had an amazing stay in this gorgeous home! Prior to our trip, Jodie was amazing answering my many questions which was super helpful. The house was so clean and perfect for two families or a bunch of friends. The layout of the house worked really well for us and the location was wonderful. You can walk to downtown Kennebunkport within 10 minutes and get to the beach in under a 5 minute car ride. Mother’s beach was perfect for our young boys. The playground there was amazing too. Our boys loved the back yard and all the toys inside the house. They were in heaven. The smart TVs were great as everyone was happy watching their own shows. Re- booking for September 2021! What a wonderful time we had and the communication between us and the owners was easy and fast too!

Great location and beautiful house. Even better than the pictures show...a rarity!

The house itself is great. Plenty of sleeping areas and separate living spaces too. Very clean and well decorated. The location to downtown is great. Very walkable and on a quiet side street. The owners were extremely responsive...but there wasn’t much need to get in touch with them, since everything was in great shape. Would definitely recommend to anyone.

Great Family Vacation

We traveled with two families, our youngest child was 12 and our oldest was 16. This location was AMAZING! It was a quick and safe walk right into Kennebunkport. The house was great and had everything we needed for the week. Again, our kids were older, but this house was would also be perfect for families with young children. The yard was great, there were all kinds of toys, a high chair, and a pack n play for families traveling with toddlers. There were also safety locks on cabinets with cleaning products. The hosts were easy to reach and the set of the home was perfect. I truly can't say enough about this location. I would highly recommend this home to anyone looking for a family vacation in this beautiful area of Maine.

Great home for family!

Spent the last week in July at this wonderful [very clean] family home within a short walk to Dock Square. We were impressed with the multiple comfortable living spaces downstairs- spacious family room, living room and a cute sitting area off the adequately-stocked kitchen, 1/2 bath down and 4 bedrooms and 2 full baths up. We really appreciated the window ACs both down and up as it was an unusually warm and muggy week, so a welcome relief from that. Was sorry that our pregnant daughter and husband ended up in the queen room without AC- as it got quite warm in there with a large exposed window and skylight that opened but not enough for good ventilation. Fortunately there were many fans in the house so that helped. If ever possible, either a window AC or window covering would help in that room. The family room came fully-stocked with toys and books galore, so our 2 1/2 year-old grandson was in heaven! We rented bed linens, towels and beach towels from Cottage Linens and thought it may sound inconvenient, it is a pretty slick system. They are at the house (for you to make your own beds) when you arrive- and when you leave the home, you simply put everything back into the large drawstring bags and leave for pick up. We really enjoyed our stay in this home and would definitely consider coming back!

Perfect location! Quiet Street! Spacious!

This location is perfect! We were comfortable as two families staying. The only negative was that the cleaning people did not clean the windows so when you looked out at the back yard all you saw was the remains of the previous guests. Other than that spotless. The owners are very on top of responding and making your stay easy.

Absolutely perfect

Our family used this beautiful home as our base for our son's wedding weekend in Kennebunkport. It was perfect, with a lot of common space for everyone to spread out and play games, watch tv, prepare food or yes, dance! We had a wonderful time with us all together in one place. Thank you to Jody and her husband Ryan. Your home is lovely.

Lovely Home and Perfect Location for Town Access

This is a great house, we really enjoyed walking to town each day during our stay. Classic New England feel with some lovely fall foliage. The only reason I'm giving it four stars instead of five is because sheets and towels aren't provided - which is apparently common practice Kennebunkport, yet the first time I've come across it and since we came from across the country, it was a bit of a hassle rounding up linens. There is a service available but we chose to spend our money on amazing lobster rolls instead! That point aside, working with the owners was very easy , the house is lovely and we made some great memories there.

Lots of room, location was perfect. Great for a two family trip!

I shared this property with my sister. We have kids who were old enough to go to town to buy ice cream or shop safely by themselves which was great. There are several rooms for people to spread out for different activities. Easy to love this property.

My entire family loved the house and property. The house exceeded are expectations .

The house exceeded expectations and the location gave us perfect walking access to the village. The beaches were only a short ride away and all areas we visited were located off the many incredibly well maintained roads near the house. My entire family commented on how wonderfully well kept and clean the house was. All needed amenities were contained in the house. We ate many meals in the kitchen which reminded us of home. Thank you to the owners for allowing us to spend time in their house and the beautiful town of Kennebunkport.

Cute yet spacious house close walking distance to everything

We loved our stay at this house! It had plenty of rooms for extended family members and was very central to everywhere we had to go during the wedding weekend. Our only regret is that we didn't have more time! The house was also very clean.

Perfect family friendly & walking to town house

Our two families of 4 loved staying in this house and we have already booked it again for summer of 2017. There are plenty of rooms to spread out in on the first floor, everyone had their own bed on the second floor and the grassy backyard was large enough for the 4 kids to play baseball or soccer while the adults sat and chatted on the back deck under the umbrella. The kitchen had all the supplies we needed. Everything was very clean. There was a window air unit in the kids room and one in the queen bedroom but not in the back double bedroom. The days were hot and the evenings cooled off so we opened the windows and let the cool air in at night. There were 3 small fans we moved around each night as needed. We brought our own bed linens, bath towels and beach towels. They supplied pillows and blankets. The washer and dryer worked great. There was an outdoor shower that was key for a quick kid rinse-off after a day at the beach. They provided 2 beach parking passes which was perfect. We loved Mother's and Gooch's beaches. So perfect for kids (but watch the tide schedule). Bring your own beach gear such as chairs, umbrella, boogie boards and toys. We are very excited to go back in August of 2017!

PERFECT IN TOWN LOCATION

Our family rented for a long weekend as several of us were running the nearby Shipyard Half Marathon. This home is immaculate and well equipped for families or small groups to spread out and relax as needed. The patio was perfect for unwinding each afternoon. The house is close to all of the sights and restaurants in downtown Kennebunkport yet away from any nighttime noise. My only concern for travelers is the linen issue; if you are flying in you will need to think ahead about linens and towels. Luckily 2 of us were driving so we squeezed in all of the linens for the rest of the group who were flying in. Overall however a wonderful home; hoping to return next year!

You cannot beat the Southern Coast of Maine all year round. If summertime is your families favorite, come enjoy the beautiful beaches and the unbeatable Maine seafood. Don't forget about the holidays in Maine where the Kennebunk/Kennebunkport Prelude festivities are always one of the best times of the season. Also Sunday River is not too far for the skiers!
