The grounds had plenty of space for playing games. We particularly enjoyed the covered porch and fire pits. The house was comfortable and had everything we needed.Hosts were very helpful.
We had a great time at this property and would definitely book again. The house was very cute and the listing details are accurate. We loved the deck and the coffee bar! We wished we had another day to stay and play with the lawn games.
This was by far the best VRBO Iâve ever been to. I highly recommend staying at this lovely home. Lots of room and very very clean. Thank you to the hostess for responding quickly to my questions. We really enjoyed our stay.
Clean, well-maintained home with everything youâd need to have a comfortable stay. The kids loved a little play room off of the bunk room and climbing trees in the yard. The adults loved coffee on the peaceful porch. We all slept great on our overnight stay headed south. Would stay again!
Our stay at the renovated farm house was relaxing and just what we needed. House was super clean. Furniture was impressive and great outdoor covered porched with gas firepit. I would definitely stay there again.
I loved this property was perfect for our family holiday weekend. It felt as if I walked into a Hallmark movie. Everything was decorated. We were able to place our gifts under the tree and open them up in the morning when we rose just like Christmas. Loved the porch and being able to sit around the fire ! We had everything we needed !
My mom, sister, and I had a wonderful fall weekend away together in this gorgeous house and community. The house has been tastefully updated but still holds the older charm and uniqueness of the original farmhouse. The front room and side covered porch is perfect to sit and visit and furniture is very comfortable. There are also plenty of spaces to relax by yourself. The kitchen is fully stocked, we made one meal while we were there and had everything we needed. The house is very close to the national park down the road and my sister and I were able to visit and take a lovely hike. We made reservations and ate at a local restaurant that was delicious but unfortunately the service was extremely slow. We very much enjoyed our time together at this beautiful retreat!
We had a fabulous stay at this charming, renovated and well appointed farm house. It was beautifully decorated and very clean. We came to West Virginia to ski at Winterplace, about a 35 minute drive north. This listing stood out to me over closer properties, and my family (2 parents with 3 adult children) absolutely loved it! We look forward to staying again.
This farmhouse is perfect in every way.It has anything that you would ever need for any occasion. The only downfall is that it is close to a road that can be a bit noisy at times when you are hanging out on the porch, which by the way is a perfect spot to hang out.We saw deer walking around the property a couple of times. We will return.
The property was beautifully maintained with everything we could possibly want to make it an easy, relaxing weekend, from an assortment of coffee pods to firewood for the outdoor fire pit, to propane for the fire pit on the deck, to games. The house is less than a mile from the entrance to Pipestem State Park, so ideal for hiking beautiful vistas. The owner was also great in answering questions for me before our trip about the house and surrounding area. I really can't say enough nice things about the property and the owner. Highly recommend.
This house is so inviting. Space for your family to spread out and a huge porch to gather on. Well stocked kitchen. Very comfortable beds. So many nice touches from the host. Highly recommend!
Fabulous place to stay with a larger family (family of 5 here) that's within a couple of minutes of Pipestem! The beds were comfortable. The porch was amazing. The sunroom on the back of the house is great for family time playing games, as they have a large assortment to choose from. The showers had good pressure and im gessing a tankless water heater, since I never ran out of hot water. We stayed for 3 nights, and there were enough household supplies to last through our stay. We were also able to get there earlier, which was nice as we were tired from traveling. We also enjoyed the yard games. I would definitely stay again!
We wanted to be close to Pipe Stem State Park where other family members were camping. The location of this house gave us the best of both worlds. This farm house has just the right amount of updates to be comfortable while maintaining its vintage charm. We really enjoyed the large covered porch with lots of seating options. The firepit with provided firewood was a nice addition. The kids enjoyed playing football and frisbee in the spacious lawn. I would do definitely stay here again.
This property was absolutely beautiful and fit our needs exactly! Our only regret is only staying one night on our way home but absolutely perfect place for any amount of time
Our family along with friends enjoyed a 3 night stay for a weekend of skiing. We loved the home and everything about it. Wished we could have stayed longer. It was comfortable and had everything we needed for cooking in and close to good places to eat if we wanted to go out. Great neighborhood. Very cool State Park close by. Beautiful home and countryside. We had a great time during our stay and hope to return soon.
We went as our annual family ski trip. 9 of us. This house was accommodating for everyone, and location to everything. Plenty of towels unlike most places we stay that just have enough for one each person, if that. Nice coffee and tea area which we enjoyed. Cozy clean little place to stay!
We stayed Oct. 2023 with the idea of hiking throughout the area as much as possible. We had fantastic weather and hiked daily in the gorgeous hills/mountains. The home was marvelous to come back to and relax. We were always a bit amazed at some new amenity we discovered every day about the house. Absolutely lovely and would do again!
Lovely and spacious updated farmhouse. Plenty of room for all of the kids plus we loved that there were two living areas. And it was decorated for Christmas with a tree and all! It felt just like home. I loved that it has a huge covered outdoor area with the grill and gas fire pit.
We are originally from Princeton, West Virginia but had relocated south for our jobs. Our love of the outdoors and specifically the Appalachian mountains keeps us coming back home.
We love our home here in Pipestem due to its convenient location to Pipestem State Park, Winterplace Ski Resort, Bluestone River, and the New River National Park. There are endless outdoor recreational activities in the surrounding area.
Our property sits on over 3 acres of land and is very convenient to Route 20. We have a large deck with a fire pit and gas grill, along with generous seating. We also offer a fire pit in the back yard for enjoying s'mores and roasting hot dogs. An adjoining sun room has additional covered seating. A fun fact about our home: it used to be used as a custard/ice cream shop and you can still use the pass through windows that connect the sun room to the porch.
