We had a very comfortable and enjoyable stay in this cabin. It was in the perfect location which was close to the Pipestem Resort and the IBO Archery competition. Will definitely consider for future visits to the area.
We enjoyed our stay at the Cottage whileon a ski trip to Winterplace. The cabin was perfect for our family and had everything by we needed. Would definitely stay again!!!
Idyllic setting which was very relaxing. The house was very comfortable. It was very close to Pipestem Park where we had family staying. I had a small issue for which I called the owner and the problem was resolved in a very short time which caused me no inconvenience or disruption in the family planned activity. I highly recommend staying at this tranquil spot in nature.
My wife and I spent a long weekend at the Whitetail Cabin and thoroughly enjoyed our time there. The cabin had everything we needed to make our stay comfortable, and its location made it easy to get to local attractions. We spent most of our days in Pipestem State Park (literally next to the cabin) and New River Gorge National Park. It was great to come home to this cabin each day to relax and enjoy the evenings. Definitely recommend!
The stay at White Tail cabin was just the best ! The cabin has everything you need ! Beds very comfortable and the decor was so cozy and relaxing ! The property where the cabin sits is gorgeous ! Close to Pipestem and tons of activities to do ! Will definitely stay again and highly recommend !
Cabin was perfect for cozy, quiet retreat weekend. Our family of four (2 adults, 2 young kids) enjoyed the 2 bedroom, 2 bath in convenient location near Winterplace snow tubing. Homeowner was very thoughtful and helpful with tips on local restaurants in Princeton and Hinton. Cabin was very clean; we especially appreciated fireplace, extra towels, and comfortable beds.
We enjoyed our weekend trip. There were a few issues with cleanliness. A mouse had left droppings in a few places. We enjoyed sitting on the front porch and porch swing! The beds were very comfortable! The kitchen was a little small but worked well for our weekend stay!
Whitetail cabin is so cute. The photos really don't do it justice. Very clean and comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked. We prepared every meal in the cabin and the cabin had everything we needed. Bedrooms were spacious. Having 2 bathrooms was great. The property was well cared for. Thank you so much for letting us use your cabin for my daughter's graduation weekend. It was everything and more than we had hoped.
It was nice but I could not find the broom. It would have been helpful to have Kleenex, salt, pepper, aluminum foil, and Saran Wrap in the cabin.
Those little extras would
Have made
Life easier for me. The cabin was great though and location fantastic.
WE love this cabin... This was our 2nd time here.. It is spotless and simple sweet. We joined another couple and stayed in solitude for 4 days.. It was wonderful.. The only thing you need to know is that if you have AT&T phone coverage... you won't have any connection ... even though there is a cell tower not too far away.. Connectivity was a bit of an issue but the owner is trying to get that rectified... WE will come back again, I'm sure..
thanks so much
margie
I love visiting Pipestem Place! It will make you feel at home. The Host is available to answer questions and provide local information! I stayed two different times at Pipestem Place and always enjoy the amenities at Pipestem State Park! Great place for Disc Golf and hiking.
We had friends from Texas join us last month to experience our beautiful fall in West Virginia. This was a lovely cabin for our "home base," very close to Pipestem Resort State Park. We plan on staying here again in the near future!
Very nice cabin! Loved that they allowed pets and the yard was huge, perfect for walking the dogs! It was extremely close to Pipestem and lots of gorgeous waterfalls (donât miss Campbell Falls in the same park as Mash Fork Falls!). The porch swing was awesome! Altogether a relaxing place to catch up with an old friend!
A West Virginia native, I grew up in Fayette County and graduated from Montgomery High and WV Tech. Upon marrying Randy Cooper, also a West Virginian and Tech grad, we eventually settled in south Florida, raising our family and having long careers as educators and administrators in Palm Beach County schools.West Virginia remained dear to us, and many summers and holidays were spent "back home" with family and friends, exploring historical and scenic places, camping in its spectacular state parks, hiking and discovering falls and limestone caves, and roaming the mystical mountains. After retiring, I began to long and look for my deep "WV roots." My search came to a halt upon discovering Pipestem Place. Overgrown and surrounded by woods and hay fields, it sat lonely and neglected, a haven for deer and birds.Longing and search satisfied! Pipestem Place soon came alive, and the two shining cabins christened The Robin and The Whitetail. Reminiscent of Ireland, the fields and woods evoked a "deja vu" of my Irish ancestry. The meandering gravel lane became officially Anam Cara Way (anam cara> Irish for "soul friend, mentor").
The whitetail sits on a 3 acre parcel with one neighboring cabin, it has has woods and meadow views. It is just a half mile to Pipestem State Park. The 4,000-acre Pipestem State Park features a lodge and conference center, four restaurants, gift shops, 18-hole par 72 championship golf course, a 3-par course, heated indoor and Olympic- size outdoor swimming pools, over 20 hiking trails, horseback riding, kyaking/boating/ fishing, archery, camping, aerial tram, a new 10 mile zip-line and many other recreational, educational and entertainment events and activities throughout the year. Check for more details and information at pipestem-resort-state. There is skiing nearby at Winterplace about a 35 minute drive, Whitewater Rafting in spring/Summer. See our website www.pipestemplace.com for more area attractions and information.
