Relax to the sound of waves and soak in breathtaking sunsets at Riptide Retreat, a secluded 2-acre oceanfront home perfectly situated between Ocean Shores and Seabrook. This peaceful, dog-friendly retreat offers privacy, comfort, and direct seasonal beach access via a private path (7–8 min walk, available summer/fall). Prefer to drive? The public Copalis Beach entrance is just 2 minutes away.

Ocean Shores is home to black bear families. Bears have been seen on the property near the path. For your safety:

Please take all leftover food with you at checkout.

This is such a beautiful property. The residence was well stocked. The area is nice and quiet. The fenced in yard was perfect for my dogs. We had a great time!

We had a wonderful stay at the Riptide Retreat with family. The house had everything we needed and was so comfortable. We appreciated that we were able to bring our pups along, as we enjoy having them with us and they love the beach. Having the large, fenced yard made it so easy for us. The kitchen worked well for all of the meals we prepared, and the extra-large table were great for both our shared meals and for playing games. We enjoyed how easy it was to access the beach, Ocean Shores, and Seabrook for a variety of things to do. We would love to come and stay again in the future! Thank you!

Wonderful Getaway

Are you looking for a getaway? This is the place. Outside Ocean Shores which means plenty of space to explore on the beach without many tourists. The gated yard has lots of room for dogs to romp (or run off the sand), and a hose and rags are ready for an extra clean. I cannot wait to go again.

Amazing location

This house was perfect. Close to the beach. Clamming was amazing. Had everything we needed including a clam cleaning station. Great fenced yard for the dogs. Plenty of room in the garage to store our gear. Will definitely stay there again.

Peaceful / Private

Great place to disconnect and enjoy nature! Property is perfectly placed between trees with an unobstructed view of the ocean and waves. Short walk to the beach if the path is flooded. Short drive to Ocean Shores and other locations. House is beautifully decorated and those couches.... comfy. This was our second trip and I'm looking forward to more!

Wonderful home

The house was great and had everything we needed. It was so nice to be able to bring our dog with us. We loved walking to the beach it was beautiful. Fast and friendly communication. We would stay there again.

Great host/hostess. House is well appointed and perfectly situated for taking advantage of beaches open to razor clamming. This is our second stay and I’m sure it will not be our last.

Seclusion on the beach

If you are looking for seclusion you found the spot! Large property and not another home insight. Fabulous location, ocean view, comfortable furniture and outstanding cleaners. You can't go wrong. It was just the dog and i so half the house wasn't even used. I can see it being a great spot for families or group getaways. I enjoyed myself so much, that i booked another longer stay!

SO Close to Everything We Love at Ocean Shores

It had alot of home touches, so you don't have to lug it from home. (Throws for lounging on the recliners, picnic basket, kitchen spices and pump soaps at all the sinks!) Wagon to pull everything to the beach, down the private path, or drive down the beach from the access rd only blocks away. The only"negative" is the tight garage, (didn't affect me, but I think my husband's fully loaded truck would have parked in the driveway)

Great location, beautiful area, house well equipped!

Our family (with 2.5 year old) stayed at the house and really enjoyed our time. The house is private, well laid out and had everything you need from two pack n plays, laundry, extra pillows and blankets and great kitchen cooking supplies. The house was clean and tidy upon arrival. Holly was great to communicate with and so nice! Would definitely stay again!

Relaxing!

This home was lovely. We were in town for the Sand & Sawdust Festival and stayed for the weekend. The house had everything we needed and then some. Beds were comfortable, nice water pressure, and just sitting on the deck listening to the ocean was very peaceful. Our little Ziggy loved the huge yard. Look forward to going back! Thank you so much!

Family Spring Break with grandparents

Very comfortable for 6 people, felt like home. Private yet super close to drive-on beach access. Clamming in season.. a fun first for the kids!! Lots of games for rainy days and beach toys as well. Great fenced yard for the dogs. Very responsive host. Do bring your binoculars to enjoy watching the coyotes and eagles nearby.

Great Location!

We had a wonderful stay at the Riptide Retreat. Located in a nice quiet neighborhood, large private yard and deck, nicely decorated and comfortable. After staying at several beach rentals the Riptide outshined them all. It was helpful that rental rules and instructions are nicely posted around the home. Dog friendly is a plus! I can’t think of anything missing that would have made our stay more enjoyable. Hoping we can return again soon.

Amazing house for the beach

This is a remarkably well-equipped house for a family vacation. The hosts provide an entire cabinet of games and lots of beach toys. There is a well-maintained walking path to the beach, and on a clear day you can see the water from the deck. The kitchen has plenty of dishes and cookware. Hosts are extremely communicative. Only thing to be aware of is that the shower in the master bath is extremely tiny (so small my husband had to use the downstairs shower instead).

End of School Year Vacation

This oceanfront property was a great launching point for our vacation on the Olympic peninsula. We were able to walk to the beach, explore Olympic National Park, and drive on the beach all the way to Ocean Shores. The location was amazing!

Hi, I’m Holly — a Registered Nurse of 30 years, mom of two grown children and originally from the East Coast. I spent my childhood summers on Cape Cod, and those memories inspired the creation of Riptide Retreat. My husband Aaron and I raised our family in Olympia and always dreamed of owning a cozy beach retreat on the coast. That dream became reality with Riptide Retreat, and we’re so happy to share it with guests like you.

We take great pride in keeping the home clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully stocked — the kind of place we’d want to stay ourselves. Every year we add a little more to make it even better, and we hope you’ll feel the care we’ve put into it during your stay.
