Siesta Key Beach

The property has a great beach that is within a short walk from the villa. It has a good pool and the water is always clean and warm. It was very quiet for the most part and was well managed. Our villa was a little dated and worn but you can not beat the other aspects of the property.

Excellent Location

Walking distance to a few good restaurants. Really great location on the beach…far enough from the beautiful but crowded public beach. The swimming pool is really nice! The property is well maintained and staff is very friendly. The laundry was very close to this unit and only $1 for wash and 1$ for dry. Super easy and fast to have groceries delivered from Publix. Everything you need for cooking provided. Appliances are clean and work very well.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We loved that this villa was right across the street from the pool and a short walking distance to the beach! Only complaints would be the lack of supplies provided at the villa, terrible shower head/no water pressure in guest bathroom, limited hot water, and squeaky beds. Furniture and TVs could definitely use an update. However, we would stay here again! (And plan to.)

The beach is the key

Everything was as expected except that it was a coin operated laundry which I had not realized in advance. 10a is very close to the pool, office and laundry but a longer walk to the beach and gas grills (still, completely doable for almost anyone). The beach is spectacular, mostly calm water and known for gorgeous sunsets. Chairs were always available. Our WiFi was broken but we used the neighbor’s until it was fixed five days later. The villa was a bit worn but good enough. Considering the price, I thought it was a bit demanding that we couldn’t leave any dirty dishes or garbage—with fees and taxes it was about $300/night. But, I guess you’re paying for the unparalleled beach practically out your front door, a clean villa and pool, and family friendly atmosphere. We would rent again.

Thank you for the comments and glad you enjoyed your stay. We got comcast out to fix the internet the soonest we could as we have no control over that and you did have internet that you could use. I really do not feel that is was demanding to ask you to take out the garbage which was right outside your unit and to do your own dirty dishes as I am sure you would not want to clean someone else's dirty dishes, especially when there is a diswasher. Once again, I am glad you enjoyed.

Squeaky box spring in master bedroom

The price was fair, but based on the master bedroom box spring being so noisy and the fact that the shower drain cap was not attached to the shower floor, this was not and enjoyable experience.

Could use a freshening up in the furniture etc. We saw some other villas while there and they were very nice. Next time we will choose one of those. The staff was great and helped us out tremendously. They make you feel like you are at home and that they really care. Scott and John were so helpful. Cannot wait to return to our home away from home.

Excellent Siesta Key Option for Families

Convenient, Comfortable, and Clean. Liked being close to south bridge. This unit is first floor with unit above. However, we never heard the guests staying there. It is also fairly close to the road but that was no issue. Works for a family of 5 as long as OK with one sleeping on sofa bed. Pool was large and warm. Decent game room adjacent to pool. Beach access is easy and private nature of beach area for Island House seemed to be respected. Only two "complaints" would be creaky bed in Master Bedroom and low water pressure in guest shower. Would definitely stay here again.
