The house is on a large lot. There was plenty of room to walk our dog. Snacks and bottled waters were provided. Nice area!

Crystal River Home

Nice clean small house that was perfect size for our stay. Timely communication with property manager. Only suggestion I have is to provide more storage in bedrooms (dressers) for unpacking clothes during longer stays (week or more).

Weekend getaway to the springs

I recommend this listing. Close to 3 sisters, 30 mins to rainbow springs and about 30 to weeki springs we did them all. Then coming back to warm hot tub after a day in the springs was nice. Owners very nice offered us a late check out until 4pm!! However, we didn’t take advantage due to our plans for the day but was very nice of them. Would definitely book again for our next trip to the springs!!

Great location, great place, great time!

Our family has been coming up to Crystal river for years to go scalloping. This was our first time at the secluded grotto house and we couldn’t be more happy with our stay. The house is much larger than photos showed with plenty of space for 5 of us and our newborn. The yard was huge and provided tons of space for the kids to run around. The pool was not heated but felt great and got sun all day so it was refreshing that the water was a little cooler. The boys loved the hot tub! The house had plenty of necessities for grilling and cooking. We will be booking again.

Horrible

When we arrived at the property, it had not been cleaned from the previous people who had stayed. We came in after driving 10 hours to get there. It was late and we were tired. The outside trash cans were overfilled and overflowing with garbage. The lights were on in the house. The beds were all unmade with dirty linens on them. There were towels on the floor and trash everywhere and the house smelled. We called the owner and he told us that it could not be cleaned until the next day. apparently, his cleaning service had not shown up.We called all the hotels in the area and there were no openings for us to stay that night. We called several towns that were close and nothing was available at that time at night. We had to drive an hour away to the closest town that had an opening and they only had one room available. It was extremely expensive and took the rest of our money for our trip. We then had to drive an hour back in the morning to do our manatee swim tour. And then back to the hotel an hour away. We had to cut our trip short and go home after that due to the expense and all of the travel time. The owner of the property was not willing to give us a refund. He kept trying to give us 50% off if we would come back. We explained to him that we were cutting our trip short for the reasons that I’ve mentioned and we were headed home. It took multiple communications between Vrbo customer service, and the owner before he finally agreed to refund our money.
