Cet appartement est très bien situé !! À 20 minutes à pied de la station de métro Woodley / National Zoo et à 20 minutes à pied en direction opposée de la station de métro DuPont Circle. Il y a aussi un arrêt de bus dans la rue. Cette unité est située à la périphérie de Adams Morgan et de DuPont Circle, au milieu de nombreux restaurants, boutiques et discothèques passionnantes. Il existe une grande variété de commerces à distance de marche; boutiques, petits magasins locaux et magasins d'artisanat.

La visite du centre-ville est à quelques minutes en métro (environ 15 minutes à pied). Cette unité est à environ 1 mile de la Maison Blanche et du National Mall. Cette unité est à distance de marche du nombre de sites :)!

Pleasant apartment in a great location

We enjoyed our time in this basement apartment. It was clean, comfortable, warm enough (our stay was from mid December to early January) and in a great area for eating out. Our 8 YO slept on the sofa bed, which he found very comfortable. We were within walking distance of most of the atractions we wanted to see - including the zoo. We'd definitely stay there again.

Near night life

The little apartment was all we needed. Very close to where we wanted to be. A few pertinent notes: this apartment is near the night life on 18th St. So quiet times are somewhat disregarded. This apartment has very low ceilings. Hubby is 6'2" and has a few knots from whacking his head. I'm 5'9" and only had to duck entering the basement. Owner supplied a little coffee to get us going for a few days until we could get to the grocery around the corner-which is very convenient. There are lots of restaurants, bars, wine shops, etc. in the immediate area. Also note that the thermostat controls are adjusted by owner but all you have to do is ask. I did not like having to ask but they were very accommodating.

Great location.

We really enjoyed our stay at this property. It was a great location for getting around - not a far walk to the bus stop and an interesting walk to the subway station. The amenities were as described and it was handy to have a washer/dryer in the suite.

The location was amazing! There were so many restaurants, bars, parks, supermarkets, and Metro stations within walking distance. Hosts were always available and frequently checked in to see how my stay was going and if I needed anything. This was my first time staying in a basement apartment, so entering and exiting the property took some getting used to. Other than that, I would recommend staying here if you are visiting the DC area.

Affordable stay

The location of the house is great. Plenty of restaurans and places to hang out within walking distance. However the house needed more attention: shower curtain had mold on it; the toaster looked like it had not been clean in a while; the air vent grills were very dirty too; there were cockroaches in the house along with mosquitoes; no thermostat in the house so we couldn’t control air temperature in house; pillows seemed to be very old too and need replacement and finally the requirement to wash the towels used was Very inconvenient especially when we had a super early flight out of Dulles airport and we were charged a cleaning service fee.

We reached out to Roger through the platform a total of 4 times and received no response from him. We specifically reached out to him 10/11/2019 at 11:34 AM through the website (the day after his arrival) to see if he had any issues, concerns, or questions with his stay. We did not receive a response from him and figured he were just enjoying DC with his family. We did not want to pry, and figured he would come to us with any questions or concerns. It is really discouraging as hosts to get a bad review when someone does not communicate their needs, issues, or concerns. We want to do our job and make your stay the best possible stay we can and we want to make sure you enjoy our city! Unfortunately, we are human and are not able to read minds, but had we known about these issues, we would have rectified them immediately. We have 10 different properties in the area, and had these issues been addressed, we would have addressed them immediately. If he had reached out about the temperature, as many of our guests do, we would have adjusted it for him. The check out message sent on 10/13/2019 at 12:27 PM reads "Please let me know if you have any issues or concerns with the check out procedure!" which is to say, that if washing towels was inconvenient for him, then there would have been no need to wash them. There is nothing we can do as hosts (upon receiving a bad review) to remedy his stay from this point onward, but we would have liked a chance to do so. Please allow us to do our job and make your stay lovely, comfortable, and enjoyable. We hope that the next time Roger uses this platform, or stays at a vacation rental, that he give us hosts a chance to do our job to the best of our abilities.

Location, location, location!

Prime location in Adam's Morgan! Within a few blocks The Green Zone Bar ( mint lemonade drink), Mellow Mushroom( best mushroom pizza), Tryst ( appetizers, beer and much more) Ice Cream ( Nice and Jeni's).... Plus apartment is partly underground so unbelievably quiet ( they repaved the road one morning and we could hardly hear it). Very cozy and well supplied with linens, toiletries, books, tourist info, TV. It was a perfect size for two. I wouldn't do 4 people unless they were family ( have to go through bedroom to get to the bathroom, kitchen area only fits one at a time though connects to nice dining area). Some ducking of the head required in places if over 6 ft..especially stairway to entrance. Adam's Morgan is not on the metro line but less than a mile walk on good side walks ( we pulled our suitcases with wheels). Very safe area. We will definitely want to stay here again when we come back next year to visit our daughter.

Pleasant experience

Everything was correctly described. A welcoming bottle of wine was waiting. If tall (over 6 ft) be careful of a few low beams in the kitchen area. Easy walk to supermarket and local restaurants. Easy to hail a taxi on the streets. We felt the subways were too far to stroll to (but we’re in our 70s!) Would recommend to friends and would stay again.

Allen and Juliet were fabulous hosts! When I made a comment, they were on it right away. The location was perfect! Right around the corner from the grocery store and tons of restaurants and bars. Would definitely stay with them again.

Exactly what we were looking for!

Was comfortable and convenient to shopping, great restaurants and multiple bus routes. Super quiet as well. If there on the weekend check out the drum circle at Meridian Park, was very cool!! Sunday afternoons 3-9.

Just what we needed

The apartment was located in a fun and eclectic neighborhood. It was close to a grocery store, bus stop and lots of interesting restaurants. We felt safe and comfortable. The apartment was very clean and had everything we needed. (Kitchen, washer and dryer, TV, DVD, WIFI, etc) The owners were attentive and accommodating. They were quick to respond to any of our needs. We were very pleased with the whole experience and would do it again.

Title says it all: Great property, great location. At 6'3" tall, I had to duck a bit (as is the case with all English Basements in DC!) but less than I expected. Everything else about the apartment was great, including the lack of upstairs neighbors (being under a law office meant no one traipsing about late at night! Would rent again

Neat, clean and convenient

This is my second stay at this property and it did not disappoint. Great amenities with Wi-Fi, tv, kitchen, washer and dryer. Close walking distance to a grocery store and they have a cart at the apartment to bring your groceries home. The owner is very responsive and friendly. Location is close to easy bus line and Woodley park zoo and monorail and rental bikes. Located in the Adams Morgan district there is easy access to food and a fun night life. It's very quiet location.

Small, a little worn out but cozy and very well located

This small apartment has what you need: Beds, bathroom and kitchen. It ain't much but what do you need on a vacation? Adams Morgan is right next door with its 300 yards of restaurants, bars, nightclubs. Since this apartment is around the corner you are not disturbed. We had an issue in the kitchen and the landlord replaced the tap within an hour or two. Nice!

Morten and his kids were OK guests. They broke the faucet in the kitchen which we replaced right away and then they lost a pair of keys which made us re-key the locks. Other than that they were OK.

Great value and close to everything!

We were able to take a short walk for a bus to town and Uber was always only a 3-5 min wait. Nice accommodations and grocery close for cooking meals to save money during a long stay.

Apartment was clean and well stocked. It slept 3 comfortably. Kitchen and bathroom were ideal for a basement apartment. Close to restaurants, bars, shops, banks, etc. in Adams Morgan section. Less than mile from Metro stop. Highly recommend.

Pourquoi avoir choisi cet hébergement ?

This is a great apartment in the middle of action but away from the crowd. It has its own unique character and has very up-beat atmosphere. We have has singles staying here and families of 5. mostly two adults and 2 or 3 kids. It is close to the transportation, the bus and the metro and of course the Zoo. We think it brings a great value!

Quels sont les atouts de cet hébergement ?

This unit is on a quiet street and has a lot of charm on the inside! Super cosy and cute, and close to tons of Adams Morgan highlights! There is a grocery store & pharmacy in walking distance to the unit (4 minutes away, .2 miles)!!
