Welcome to this warm and inviting townhome where you will find two bedrooms, two outdoor balconies, and a dynamic loft space spread out across three floors providing plenty of space for your group of up to 8 to have a comfortable stay. The home features warm wood panel walls and high ceilings, charming mountain decor, and cozy furnishing, providing a cozy place to relax at in-between adventures.
When you enter the home, you will arrive at the lower level, with carpeted stairs leading up to the main floor directly in front of you. Head up these stairs, and you will arrive at a bright, open-concept room featuring the living room/kitchen/dining in one large space. Make your way to the living room where you can relax on the cozy three-person couch or sofa chair as you warm up by the fire. With high ceilings and sliding doors leading out to a small balcony, the space is filled with natural light. The room features a TV perfect for movie nights, or grab one of the books off the bookshelf and curl up with a good book. Connected to the living room is the dining area where you will find a dining table with seating for 6 next to the sliding glass doors, so you can enjoy the view outside while you dine! Or, step outside onto the balcony where you will find patio chairs with views looking out over tranquil nature, making you feel as if you are tucked away in the forest.
Back inside you will find the kitchen just off the dining area where you will find everything you need to prepare a meal for your group. Within walking distance to the house, you will find an endless network of National Forest trails perfect for walks, runs, and bike rides in the summertime. Just a 2-minute drive, or a short walk, will take you to Patton Beach, a dog-friendly beach that is great for swimming. Nearby Patton Beach you will find more entertainment and dining options such as the famous Garwoods Bar and Grill, a wonderful lakefront dining experience, CB’s Bistro and Pizza for family dinners, Magic Carpet Mini Golf and Arcade for the little ones, and a 7-11 for all of your late-night needs. The beautiful Carnelian West Beach provides another excellent swimming spot just a few minutes drive from the home.
In the winter months, you are only 16 minutes from Northstar, 25 minutes to Squaw Valley Alpine Meadows, and 10 minutes from the Tahoe City Nordic Center where you will find a huge network of trails for XC Skiing or snowshoeing. Those wonderful trails on the National Forest system near the home are perfect for enjoying some XC skiing and snowshoeing in the winter months.
If a little less physical activity is what you are looking for, you are just a 10-minute drive west to Tahoe City and 8 minutes east from Kings Beach. In both places, you will find sandy beaches, farmers markets and major grocery stores, golf courses, small boutique shopping, waterfront parks, golf courses, weekly concerts in the summer, and a wide variety of bars and restaurants. You are also 10 minutes from the Nevada state line, where you will find casinos and concert venues. This home is the perfect launching pad for any Lake Tahoe experience!

Centrally located off HWY 28 and within walking distance of two public transportation stops, you can comfortably get by without having a vehicle if needed. Just a half-mile from the home is the public transportation TART stop at Hwy 28 at Sierra Boat Co which will take you to locations such as Kings Beach. Also located half a mile from the home is a second TART stop on Hwy 28 at Old P.O. Coffee Shop, from here you are a 17-minute bus ride to Tahoe City. Easily connect to other locations at the Tahoe City Transit Center, where you can find buses to locations such as Northstar California Resort. The home is also nearby a Night Rider bus stop, please note that the night rider bus is only offered seasonally.
Those with a vehicle enjoy being close to HWY 28 and the quick access it provides to the beautiful surrounding areas, with less than a 15-minute drive to Tahoe City and minutes away from the Nevada state line. Just a two-minute drive will take you to Patton Beach, and the popular Kings Beach is an 8-minute drive away. The pool and lap swim are closed for the season and will re-open after Memorial Day 2025, depending on snow and weather. The hot tub is currently open on weekends, with expanded hours planned for ski season. Tennis courts are available seasonally but currently lack lighting, and the lodge is open daily with hours depending on staffing, offering equipment like bocce balls, volleyballs, and an outdoor ping pong area for sign-out. Please note, there is no barbecue area available for renters.
Charcoal grills are strictly forbidden in this county and will result in a $1,500 citation if used.
4-wheel drive or 2-wheel drive tires with snow chains may be necessary for safe travel to this property, even if it hasn’t snowed in a few days.
