Welcome to The Watercolor Cottage! Located on peaceful Stony Point just 3 miles to the village of Suttons Bay, the WCC offers the tranquility of Leelanau County while being close to all the best activities. Inside the house, you'll appreciate quality furnishings, hardwood floors throughout, all new appliances, charming architectural details, two fully updated bathrooms, and two spacious and comfortable bedrooms (1 king, 1 queen plus bunks). Enjoy meals and together time in the open living/kitchen/dining area that centers the home, with multiple seating areas for dining, relaxing, and your favorite games. Provided for your comfort are white noise machines, room darkening blinds, all bedroom linens, bath and beach towels, a smart TV, Sonos speaker, and well appointed kitchen.

Location wise, the Watercolor Cottage is truly unique and offers something for everyone. Step out the front door and walk 3 minutes to the right (East) to find the Vic Steimel Waterfront Park, ideal for rock hunting and a cup of coffee as you catch the sunrise. It's also the perfect spot for morning, smooth water SUP rides. In the opposite direction out the front door, another easy 3 minute walk to the public sandy shore of Suttons Bay for an afternoon or evening swim. The Caribbean blue water and sunsets do not disappoint! We're happy to share a garage full of water floats, sand toys, kayaks and life preservers as well.

When you're ready to get out and explore, some of Leelanau County's best vineyards are within a 15 minute drive, not to mention 7 minutes to Hop Lot, 20 mins to Farm Club, and 25 mins into Traverse City. The nearby Village of Suttons Bay is a vibrant, creative community offering convenient and quality groceries at Hansen Foods, unique local shops, restaurants, bayside parks, a theater, bike and boat rental, trailheads, and much more. We'll be happy to provide recommendations to the best of what Leelanau County has to offer if you desire them.

The WCC is on a peaceful side road, with large yard space and mature trees perfect for hammock lounging. One hammock provided, bring more if you wish! The rear patio offers a large dining table, Weber grill, and outdoor lounge area. Facing west and with beautiful sunset views is the fire pit. Cornhole boards, croquet set, and other yard games can be found in the garage.

We love our neighbors at The Watercolor Cottage, and the serenity that everyone who comes here experiences. In that spirit, we ask that guests are mindful of others and the surroundings so it can continue to be enjoyed by many. In accordance with the Suttons Bay short term rental ordinance, we can accommodate up to 4 adults and 2 children. We're unable to accept reservations for more than 4 adults.
