Castawaves- 2 bedroom 2 bath steps from the beach dog friendly

Perfect location! Your family will be close to everything when you stay at Castawaves, Crystal Beach. We are centrally located to the Beach, restaurants, entertainment and shopping. Walk 2 minutes to the beach or drive your vehicle onto the beach with the neighborhood beach access.
2 bed, 2 bath beach house with plenty of entertaining outdoor space.
Fenced in back yard- we welcome well behaved dogs with a fee- ($80)
Middle chill out deck

The space
2 bedrooms
Master bedroom with king bed and en-suite bathroom with shower and two sinks
Second bedroom 1 full bed and full bunk beds. Total of 3 beds with en-suite bathroom with shower and two sinks.
Can sleep up to 6 people. (please note the top bunk is for a child only)
TVs in both bedrooms and Livingroom for everyone to enjoy.
The kitchen is fully stocked with pots and pans, oven, microwave, waffle maker and utensils. Plenty of plates, glasses etc.
The outdoor decks are great for relaxing or playing games. The top deck offers views of the Gulf. And the ground floor patio has lots of seating plus a charcoal grill which makes it easy for your summer cookout. (we do not supply charcoal or lighter fluid for the grill).
The outdoor shower perfect for rinsing off sandy feet after a fun day at the beach.
Castawaves is dog friendly- additional fee of $80 for total stay applied. We have a fenced in yard.

You will have access to the whole house apart from the owner's closet and the garage. Castawaves is dog friendly- $80 one off fee. We have a fenced in yard.
Early check in / late check out: can be accommodated at a $20 per hour fee if available, please send your request.

Castawaves is a great place. Less than a 10 minute walk to beach. Very well decorated, very well equipped. Furniture and beds were comfortable. We would stay here again.

We strongly disagree with this review, as it does not reflect the reality of this stay. The guest violated house rules by hosting an unauthorized party, which resulted in significant damage and an excessive mess left behind. All charges applied were in line with our clearly stated policies ( WHICH THEY DID NOT PAY) and were necessary to cover the condition in which the property was left. Throughout the process, communication was consistent and documented. We take great pride in maintaining our property and being transparent with guests, and we stand by the actions taken in this case. Future guests can feel confident that our policies are applied fairly and consistently.

Charming Castaways

This getaway is clean and very up to date and stylish. We enjoyed a very relaxing stay here with our pups. The fenced in yard is a bonus. The beach is visible from the decks and a short stroll away. The breeze on the upper decks as you relax in the hammocks was wonderful!

My husband and I took a quick trip to the beach and this was a wonderful place to stay. The house could sleep 8 people even though it was just the two of us. I loved the colors of the property and the paint. It was very cute. There is a little hammock area in the middle that was breezy and a nice little hang out area. The fenced in backyard was perfect for my dog. The only issue we had were the 4 small dogs in the neighbors yard across the street, that barked constantly. That is not the fault of the owners of this home, but it was just annoying. Overall, it was a great home and we would definitely stay again.

Husband’s birthday getaway

This really is the perfect size beach house and perfect for a quick getaway. We absolutely loved the lounge deck level with the hammocks, it provided a peaceful break from the sun. The fully fenced in yard and deck is an awesome plus. The only thing it lacked was counter/table top space near grill but juggling food trays and plates really isn’t a big deal. Overall we had a great time and enjoyed our stay

Fun and colorful getaway

Loved everything about the stay!!! Only recommendation would be for bigger pots and pans. I purchased a pasta strainer and left it there for future guests. Overall fun was had by all and would most definitely return.

Cute Home!

The place was perfect. We had trouble booking the home originally with VRBO but it worked out. It was nice to have the little fenced in yard for dogs. Nice floor plan and proximity to the beach...I loved the levels and the extra deck with the swings and hammock. We had a quick stay and didn't stay in the home much but it was all functional. We appreciate the extra waters, candy and koozies too!!

Relaxing

The house is small and is perfect for me and a friend. We were able to have separate bedrooms and bathrooms. Cozy and clean little house. My Full size 4 door F150 and trailer and UTV had no problems fitting in the carport. Plenty of sitting options on the decks. Love the hammock swings! Neighbors weren't too noisy, short drive to the beach on the UTV. Definitely recommended for a couple with a couple of children or two couples. A bonus for me was the fenced-in yard for my fur baby. I would like to have had a box fan provided but thankfully I brought one to help me sleep and drown out any noise. I would return and stay here over and over! Lovely home!

Amazing beach house

The pictures do not do this place justice. It is emacilate, gorgeous and perfectly decorated. Fantastic. Every room had fans, comfortable beds, with secondary room having a double over double bunk with an additional double bed. TVs with Netflix, Hulu, etc. in BOTH bedrooms and the living room. Two beautiful bathrooms, tons of places for clothes and luggage, stocked kitchenware, coffee and pods,and my 16 year old daughter slept on the couch very comfortably. We stay in A-LOT of VRBO’s and this one ranks at the top. The pictures had me very underwhelmed… seriously, y’all should get better photos to show how awesome this place is. We weren’t worried since we were only going to be there for one night but I could have stand MUCH longer, it was that nice!!!

Wasted my hard earned money and my time

The house did not include hammocks as listed nor wood for fire pit the bedding was not clean on the top bunk .. there are hardly pots to cook with… the oven is close to the kitchen counter so it’s hard to cook out of safely… there’s not many towels or rags considering your on a beach property and likely to shower more often … last but not least … the neighbors were singing so loud and cussing so loud vulgar language during their outdoor karaoke right next to the house I rented I could not enjoy my stay which was a honeymoon stay and ended up a nightmare I couldn’t even enjoy being outside to see the fireworks that took place due to the neighbors I would not recommend although it is a cute home I would not recommend you waste your time or money I spoke with the owner she said she could not help the way the neighbors Act which is understandable but I still would not recommend im scarred for life I’ll probably never look into a beach rental again unless the homes were spread apart further

Thank you for sharing your feedback, and I’m truly sorry to hear that your experience did not meet your expectations, especially for such an important occasion like your honeymoon. I understand how disappointing it must have been to encounter those issues, and I genuinely apologize for the inconvenience caused. However, I would like to remind you that this was a New Years eve reservation and we cannot control how neighbors celebrate the festivities in their own homes. The listing does state that the hammocks are no longer in use due to a recent hurricane. It also states to bring your own firewood/firelighters if you intend to use the firepit. Please do read all instructions before booking. There were also 2 undisclosed guests for your stay, there are enough towels etc for the amount of guests per your booking. You booked for 2 people and both bathrooms had at least 4 sets of towels in there. The kitchen is intended to cook light meals only. We do not provide towels for the beach.. We certainly would not recommend you to other hosts and would not welcome you back again. Warning to others.
