The McKinley House, built in 1850, is a family friendly house located in the Village of Lake Placid NY. The house has incredible mountain views that look out over The Olympic Ski Jumps. Our house is old with creaky floors, and squeaky doors but we've done a lot of renovating & upgrading to make it feel homey, comfortable, and beautiful. *The McKinley House vacation renters have full and private access to the 2-story house consisting of 3 bedrooms, 2 full baths, wrap- around screened in porch, a patio to sit and enjoy your breakfast or to cook dinner on the outdoor grill. *We do have an occupied studio apartment located on the third floor with its own separate entrance. *You will have full and private use of the 2 stories including the porch, deck, and yard, to play corn hole or just to reminisce by the firepit. *3 free parking spaces available. *An outdoor security camera is located above the garage door. The McKinley vacation house is located less than 1/2 mi from downtown Lake Placid, just minutes' walk to all the shops, restaurants, & Mirror Lake Beach. We are right next door to The Olympic Arena and the finish line for The Ironman. We are just a 2-minute walk to The Whiteface Mt. free bus shuttle that will take you to and from Whiteface Mountain Ski Center. Just down the street you can catch the free trolly that will take you to main street, the supermarkets, horseshow grounds, or the ski jumps. We are also a 2 min. Walk to Big zs Bowling Center. The house is in a great location close to everything in town. We do not host team event renters.
