In addition to these natural wonders, the property boasts private trails that beckon you to explore and the option to bring your own kayaks or canoes for tranquil excursions. Accommodating up to 10 guests, the two-story house provides ample space for everyone. The fully-equipped kitchen features seating for up to 10 guests at the dining table, creating a welcoming environment for shared meals. Our family had a great time celebrating the holidays together at this property! With 4 kids in the family now and several adults, staying together under one roof has gotten more difficult over the years. This was our first time renting a house for our holiday celebration, and it was a great experience. The host was super responsive and helpful — we were coordinating a lot of meals, and needed specifics on cookware/serving ware and also wanted to bring a small tree with us to set up for the kids. Everyone had privacy and their own space, which was great. The pool table provided plenty of entertainment for the adults, and the assortment of board games — and Pac Man arcade machine — gave the kids plenty to do, too.A big bonus was being able to let relatives bring their dogs for the weekend. Of course, finding pet sitters around the holidays is difficult, so giving family members one less thing to worry about worked out well. A few things to note — not that any of them would have deterred us from booking the kitchen is a bit small, as is the dishwasher, and counter space is limited. Probably not an issue for most, but with Christmas dinner comes many, many dishes. We were a bit crammed while navigating around one another, but it was certainly workable. So just FYI! The carpet upstairs is a bit worn, but it helps that dogs are kept off of it. Great stay overall, thank you for the hospitality!

House is completely stocked with everything, very well thought out and executed. The snacks were a major bonus. Only marked it down one star on family friendly simply because of the hill, you would definitely need to keep an eye on the littles.

Great House

The house was set up so nicely for our family. Everything was labeled with plenty of additional information on the property and area events put out for us to browse through. A lot of games set up to play. Clean and well put together. My only disappointment was the haul down to the river. It was a little more than I expected. The river was beautiful though. A little chilly for full out swimming in, but we still played in it. Went to the pond down the road to swim instead.

We just had the best time during our stay at the Cottage. So many extra amenities and small touches made for a wonderful time. The river access is perfect, the yard games and inside game loft have is so many options that filled our days and nights with fun family games. Great communication with owners throughout! Thank you!

What a great property and so much to do there! The yard was set up with games, a hammock, and disc golf. The home was clean, and loved the notes- you can tell they care about the function and accessibility. The real treat for me was the river. I spent hours down there by (and in) the river. Our family loved it!

Added touches

The house was great. Plenty of room for whole famliy. Loved how things were labeled throughout the house to guide us where to find things. Bob was kind enough to bring kayaks and show us a local swimming quarry. That was awesome. Little town of Harrison is 20 minutes but has grocery store and great coffee shop. We also went to the 4x adventureland that was great too. Also located about 15 min from house is Lake George with nice beach area. The river at the house is not suttable for little kids, but adults and teens would have fun. We would come bavk again. I thank God for all the memories we made as a family. Nice get away

Nice place to get away from our busy life. A very nice quiet spot full of wildlife to see. The house is super clean and I felt like I was at home. Plenty of stuff to do at the house. I will be back to this paradise again.

Thanksgiving Getaway

From the welcome scene on the tv and the music that greeted us, this great property met all our needs. Kitchen is well stock with needed cooking tools. Nice that it is off of a paved road, especially in the snow. We wish we could have stayed longer.
