Spacious cottage near the Leota trail head!

Sandy Trails Retreat is located near the Leota trail head. If you love riding dirt bikes, four-wheelers, or snowmobiles, this is the place for you! Back at the cottage you can enjoy volleyball, badminton, horseshoes, yard Yahtzee, and basketball. There is also a large beautiful fire pit if you just want to relax and enjoy being in nature. The fully screened gazebo allows you to enjoy eating outdoors without all of the pesky bugs! The Soaring Eagle Casino is only a 45 minute drive, and Snow Snake Ski Resort is only 24 minutes away! If you love boating and fishing, Sandy Trails Retreat has 20 lakes within 20 minutes! There is also 100 acres of hunting land right outside our backdoor! There are many other fun things to do nearby in beautiful northern Michigan! Come check it out!

Note: There are security cameras on the exterior of the property, front, back, and sides of the cottage. There are NO camera's inside the cottage.

Great place! Cabin was clean and spacious inside which was great due to the weather not being the greatest to be outside a lot. Plenty of room for us all inside. Having an outside grill was also nice. Kitchen well stocked. Host was great to communicate with. Will definitely be staying here again!

4th Annual President’s Day Trip

We have stayed here twice now for our annual President’s Day gateway with our kids. This house is perfect for us in every aspect. Can’t wait to come back.

Great spot to trail ride from!

Clean place, great fire pit set up and a quarter mile from the trails!

Great place to stay away from it all

Property was great for our group of 8. Well stocked with things to do and plenty of parking. Great place to be if you want to be away from the bustle of being in town. Very peaceful and the drive to the property is beautiful and takes you. Host was very communicative.

Place was equipped with many games and yard activities for all ages! Great location with spacious parking! House was clean. Only regret is that we didn’t book more days there!

Great house for a group

The house was even better than expected. Very clean and worked perfectly for our group. Sand court and campfire pit are well maintained and we thoroughly enjoyed using both. If we ever stay in the area again we’ll definitely look at booking this house again!

My family and I stayed here for a wedding at August Hill and we loved it. Clean, as described with lots of extras. Enjoying the fire pit in evening with family was our highlight.

We love riding the Leota trails. With the Leota Lodge booked we looked for another place to stay. The cottage was perfect. Great location for trail riding and the circular driveway is perfect for easy maneuvering of a trailer.

Outdoor oasis!

We had a group of eight adults and one dog. We had a long weekend of side by side riding, sitting around the table in the screened in gazebo, and enjoyed our nights hanging out around the fire pit. This place is clean, they provide you with everything and even have treats for the dog. The owners are quick to respond and very friendly and helpful. We will be returning.

Bachelor's Party July 14-16th

The house was perfect for the groups hopes and needs! Additionally, the provided games, movies, and speaker were very pleasant to have already there! The gazebo was a fan favorite spot to sit with the lighting and bug net for late evening chats. The wood being provided was super helpful and kind as well. Would rate this one of the best stays I've been to and would highly recommend for anyone looking for a getaway to a quiet area!

Every thing was perfect with a plus. Homeowners where a delightful to deal with. Property accommodations with perfect for Our 23' trailer with play room for the toys. Out door gazebo was perfect for morning breakfast with Mother Nature. Then the firepit fully stock with wood keep us warm at night for S'mores. I could go on and on. Perfect would be a understandment. Thank you again and We will definitely be returning because the trail head is basically at your door step.

My family and I have enjoyed spending time at our cottage since 2015. As a first responder, it is nice to have a peaceful place to go to clear my head and unwind. My husband enjoys spending time hunting, and relaxing by a warm camp fire. Our kids enjoy riding their dirt bikes, playing volleyball, and playing board games in the gazebo. We hope that you and your family will make everlasting memories there as well!

Pourquoi avoir choisi cet hébergement ?

We purchased our family cottage in 2015. Our family has many great memories there! Our children learned to ride dirt bikes on the Leota trails, and began competing in races. If you love to ride ATV's of any kind, this is the place for you! We are also surrounded by many lakes in the area if you have a love for boating and fishing! If you love concerts and casinos, we are only 45 minutes away from the Soaring Eagle Casino!

Quels sont les atouts de cet hébergement ?

We are centrally located in Michigan, which makes it very easy to travel anywhere in the state to experience a new adventure. The Leota trails near our cottage draw in riders of all kinds. We are situated on 5 acres of land that connects to thousands of acres of state land, offering peace and tranquility!
