Our stay was very nice! The house sleeps well - quite and comfortable. Had a fire in the pit a night or two and ate dinner down by the lake on the deck every evening!
Stayed here with my family for a long weekend of waterfowl hunting. House was clean, beds comfortable, and location was convenient to walk for lunch or dinner. We'll be back.
Group of guys stayed for duck hunting. Worked great for us, had everything we needed like multiple rooms and beds, full kitchen and grill, plenty of room to relax, nice 3 season porch for all our stuff. Older house that could use some work, but appeared to be getting fixed up, noticed recent outdoor paint on whole house, newer deck and there were supplies for a new roof outside must have been getting installed during the week after we stayed. All and all a nice place for what we needed. Would work great for a group or family fishing or hunting trip to the area.
Perfect Location; Big Well-Cared for Home; AMAZING beach/dock/toys
This house was spacious, clean, in an outstanding location, and had a top-notch dock and beach. We loved using the golf cart to head to course and golf. We enjoyed the kayak, swimming around the dock, and playing on the pad. I shouldn't complain about anything because we would return in a heartbeat (and plan to), but the one thing that was hard to get over was the smell. There were fresheners in every outlet in the house when we got there and they were overpowering. So we unplugged them and soon realized why they were there...it's just an older, smelly house...but we loved the house...so getting over the scent wasn't too big a deal. The only other complaint was that the kitchen didn't have any baking dishes and I had intended to do a breakfast bake and make rice krispie bars. No pyrex/corningware/glass dishes for any of that. Next time I'll just bring my own. Otherwise this house had everything else you'd hope for. A/C was amazing--and it was HOT during our stay, so we were super thankful for that! There are locks on bathroom doors now (as another renter mentioned would be nice). We plan to be back. Thanks so much for a wonderful VRBO.
We stayed in this lovely old house during a stretch of gloomy weather, and it turned out to be the perfect place to be. Everything was clean, comfortable, and full of character. The cozy atmosphere made staying indoors feel like a treat. Grateful to have found such a welcoming spot!
Went for Memorial weekend to Big Stone Lake had a fantastic time power host was very accommodating unfriendly we enjoyed the spectacular sun rises and sunsets at the lake from the back porch and on the docks.
This house is located right on the lake, with beautiful outdoor seating on multiple decks descending to the beach. Amazing! It is also within walking distance to a grocery store. The interior is spacious and air-conditioned in the summer. The host is communicative and the check-in was easy. Great find!
Perfect location for work or pleasure. I happened to be working in the area with 3 other employees and this was cheaper than renting hotel rooms for everyone. Also was a bonus that I was able to bring my boat and park it at the dock so we could fish after work.
