Mulvey Lodge is a shotgun style apartment built in 1925. The rooms are on the left side of the building with a large hall down the right side. The layout is as it was in 1925 but the building has recently undergone an extensive renovation. The 101-year-old building now offers the latest in electrical and plumbing upgrades as well as a modern kitchen.
I think you will find this unique apartment roomy and comfortable for families, as well as a couples get away. It's like home away from home. We are 2 blocks from historic downtown Saint Augustine where you find lots of restaurants and shopping. Also, 3 miles from Vilano Beach or 5 miles from beautiful Saint Augustine Beach. We think that you should be able to bring the whole family including your fur babies. There is a small fee added when you add them to your reservation of twenty-five dollars.
We had a great time!! The owners were so accommodating when we flew in early and needed to check in prior to the actual check in time!! The house was clean, in a quiet neighborhood, was safe and close to main attractions. Thank you for helping to make our trip for family weekend at Flagler a great one!!
I enjoyed my stay in St. Augustine. The house was in a great, safe neighborhood and very close to the historic district. We were able to walk to all of the shops and restaurants and not have to drive and pay for parking. The house was an old charming two story. The kitchen was pretty and had been redone with granite counter tops and stainless steel appliances. There was also off street parking, which was nice, so you didn't have to find a spot on the street. There were a couple of downsides to being in an older home. There were three mini A/C units and it was very hot in the living room, no matter how low I turned the thermostat. I don't know if the people upstairs smoked. But you could smell cigarette smoke all the time in the kitchen, dining, and living room. They were also a little heavy footed upstairs. The floors were very un level. I felt like I was on a ship or slightly tipsy when walking around sometimes. I understand this is an old house. But it did feel weird. Overall, I enjoyed my stay. Maybe it would be better when it is not so hot. But that's Florida.
Super cute property that is very convenient to downtown St. Augustine. Very easy checkout instructions. If I am not staying with family in the area, this Vrbo will be on my short list. Thanks for a great stay!
We took our kids to St. Augustine to show them the beautiful city we enjoyed prior to kids. Our stay was everything we could have asked for. The host was very responsive. Directions were clear. The house was spotless! Nice a close walk to historic St. Aug! I would recommend this location to anyone!
Overall enjoyed our few days in St Augustine. The location of the house was within walking distance to many attractions, shopping and dining. The off street parking was a plus. Great communication by the property managers and owners both prior to and during our stay.
Our family stayed to celebrate Thanksgiving together. The property was easy walking distance to all of the Christmas Lights downtown. We appreciated the historic detail in this well maintained home!
The apartment was so cute. I met the neighbor above the apartment and he was really nice and friendly. We were in walking distance to downtown St Augustine and we very much enjoyed our stay. So much better than hotel rooms. There is a school across the street so the kids were screaming a little bit it wasnât too bad. I would stay there again, for sure.
A lovely historic neighborhood. Quiet, even with school nearby. Convenient location in walking distance to everything in historic downtown, and a quick, easy to lighthouse, beach etc.
This is a great location for adults or families that is very close to Downtown while remaining off the beaten path and maintaining its quiet environment. This is key when staying in St. Augustine! Unit was bigger than it looked in the pictures. Some aspects needed a little maintenance but the unit was great for a long weekend overall.
