On the square you can enjoy wine tastings, live music, a coffee house with fresh baked goods and ice cream. New Oxford is perfectly situated near Gettysburg, Hanover, and Codorus State Park, Visit the battlefields, rent a kayak at the park or take a scenic route through apple orchards. The house was beautiful and very clean. Only thing it sits on a busy street so road noise is very prominent but if your use to that then overall the stay was definitely worth it and communication was smooth and prompt. Highly recommend.

Absolutely loved this stay. The house is gorgeous and so clean. They provided the linens, towels, and even the shampoos, soaps, coffee, chips, and so much more. We had our book club stay for the weekend to relax and read and it was perfect. Loved the atmosphere.

This was our second stay and it was even better than the first. The heat seemed to work better and extra blankets were on hand as it was cold outside. Everything was clean and the home is beautiful inside and out.

We were looking for an affordable place to stay for the Gettysburg Film Festival over the weekend, and this place ended up being PERFECT. Everything was clean, room temps were perfect (especially for being an old house) and we were within walking distance to food and shopping. My sister really wanted to visit a dress shop she’d found on TikTok that would’ve been an hour drive had we stayed in Gettysburg. This house is the perfect distance between both. We goofed off on our last day and took a bunch of pictures around the house because the rooms were all so cool. We were a little sad that the game room didn’t have a whole lot of games (we found Sorry! and a pack of cards) but it didn’t affect our stay whatsoever. Would absolutely go again, hopefully for a whole week next time!!

Gem in the heart of a quaint little town

We needed a place to stay near family for Christmas. With teens in the family it was so nice to have a spacious, well stocked home for everyone to spread out and relax, The house seems newly renovated with many special touches.

The property is absolutely beautiful! If you are a history buff like myself you will enjoy this home, the house is decorated in a great fashion with updates in all the right places. Amazing hard wood floors and wood work. Communication with the host was easy and they reply very quickly, they even let us check in early simply because it was available. We will be going back and look forward to staying there again. Keep in mind the home is located on a major street and the front yards aren't big in the area but the back yard is spacious and beautiful to sit in and enjoy the outdoors.

House was exactly as it looked in pictures. Very clean and all rooms were larger than expected. There was space for my brother to work and a separate space for others to watch tv. Bathrooms were amazing. There were 7 of us staying there all adults

Beautiful historic home

This property was beautiful inside and out. The property owner was extremely kind and very quick to respond. Amenities stocked in the house were abundant and thoughtful. The AC worked great, as it was near 100 degrees each day we were there. Would highly recommend this property and host!

Perfect getaway

Gettysburg is always a stop for my family and I when we travel to PA to visit the rest of our family. Laura’s property was the perfect location and super cozy! She was very communicative, helpful and kind. We definitely added her house to places we will stay again! It was such a unique house and we enjoyed the entire home and outside seating area.

Great House for our Family

This is a very cute home. The house is nicely furnished and perfect for our family of 5. We were close enough to do everything we wanted around Gettysburg. The host was welcoming and quickly responded to our questions. We are not accustomed to street noise from where we live, so I was glad I packed sound machines. Otherwise, the beds were nice and we had all the amenities we needed. We would definitely recommend for anyone visiting the area.

Truly Charming!

We had a wonderful visit to New Oxford. The location is perfect for a short walk to a fabulous coffee shop and bakery and a delicious sandwich shop in the town square. The architecture of the neighborhood is impressive. We enjoyed a lovely festival in the town square on Saturday morning. The home was immaculate. The owner did a fabulous job of blending antiques with contemporary design. We loved the decor and all the old hardware floors. The owner is very thoughtful in welcoming guests with cold bottled water, tea, chips and toiletries. We enjoyed evenings in beautifully decorated sitting rooms and the backyard. We enjoyed wine while listening to LPs on a turn table. We felt like we were back in time. The only consideration a guest might have is the smaller beds. The largest bed is a queen. The owner was immediately responsive to our questions.

Would only stay here

Host is an excellent communicator which immediately puts aside any anxiety booking a place in a town that you’ve never visited before. Needed a place for a family of 5 (all adult children) for my mother’s celebration of life. Wanted a place where we could all be together and yet allowed for everyone to have their own space when necessary and this house made that happen. What we were most impressed with however was the home’s overall cleanliness, amenities and wonderfully warm environment of classic furnishings and modern conveniences. Need to iron a shirt, check. Need to have a place to sit outside and enjoy the pleasant sunshine, check. Need a place to cool off from the lovely sunshine, efficient central air, check. A place to sit and peacefully sip coffee or tea in the morning, check. One shower was a concern but never an issue. There is a comfy looking deep tub with a wand should someone prefer a soak but we didn’t take advantage. Need a place within walking distance of a wonderful coffee shop with delicious snacks, check. Walk to a place with excellent sandwiches, check. The home is adjacent to a main thoroughfare which can be heard but didn’t impact my family’s ability to sleep and the New Oxford train depot (inactive) is half a block away so you may have the pleasure of seeing and hearing a freight train traverse the town which was fun and never during hours you’d prefer it not traverse . Should I be back to the area - This is my Go To
