Play all day-and enjoy your Seaside Dreams by night!
Newly refurbished and partially refurnished as well- all new floors, paint, decor and bedding welcomes up to 8 guests, in this 2+ bedroom, 1.5 bath gulf front condo - one of only a few at this complex with true, straight on, beach views. Each of the 2 bedrooms has a comfy queen bed and windows for natural light - from the master you can even see the water! The "plus" bedroom is really an alcove - with twin over double bunk beds plus a new queen sleeper sofa in the living room - so 8 guests will be comfy in this spacious condo. In the kitchen you'll find everything you could possibly need to warm up leftovers from Galveston's great restaurants - or make popcorn for family movie night on the new WiFi enabled large screen TV in the living room - or make your complete meals while enjoying your beach trip. You can rent umbrellas and chairs from the vendor directly across the street in the sand - just come, relax, and enjoy your stay at Seaside Dreams - and then come back again..............and again................and again!!!!!!!
Visiting Galveston for one of the many competitive events hosted here? Cheer, dance, sports tournaments or conferences? Weddings, family reunions, class reunions, festivals, homes tours, or any other groups? Why squeeze into a tiny hotel room when your entire group could stay in their own condos and enjoy "together time" at the pools, hot tubs, etc. instead! You will have exclusive use of the entire condo - and share the pools, hot tubs, fitness center, tennis court and grounds including BBQ pergolas, fish cleaning station and a multitude of outdoor spaces with other guests and residents of the Victorian condominium complex. The complex has 2 pools – at least one of which is heated in the seasons when God does not do this for us. There are two hot tubs, a fitness center and picnic/BBQ areas. There are also 2 hot tubs, a tennis court, and BBQ grills and picnic areas sprinkled around the complex.
What's included: While we provide our guests with self check-in information and instructions, you can call us with any questions you may have at any time.
You will have exclusive use of the entire condo - and share the pools, hot tubs, fitness center, tennis court and grounds including BBQ pergolas, fish cleaning station and a multitude of outdoor spaces with other guests and residents of the Victorian condominium complex.
You certainly COULD stay here without a car - you can walk to shopping, eateries and the beach, there is public transportation nearby, and there are several local and nationally "branded" taxi services as well as ride share (Uber, Lyft) programs in place as well as meal deliveries (UberEats, ASAP (formerly WAITR) and DoorDash available as well. We provide self check in instructions 24-72 hours prior to arrival - and when you are on vacation - YOU ARE ON VACATION. Should you need to reach us, however, we are but a phone call or email away and ready to assist you. We are happy to answer any questions at any time, but to ensure we give you the correct code we cannot provide access instructions earlier than this.
Bed linens for all beds, one bath, hand and wash cloth for each guest that the unit welcomes. We do not provide beach/pool towels as when we did – they continuously went home with our guests. If you wish to “rent” beach towels from us – it is $25 for condos that accommodate up to 6 guests and $35 for condos that accommodate up to 8 guests. Which is only the additional cost of the laundering of them – labor time, laundry products, etc. We will need to have a credit card on file for this as if there are beach towels missing upon your departure, the charge is $25 per towel. We ask that our bath towels not be removed from the condo and taken to the beach or pool. They can get damaged or lost.
Starter supplies: 2 rolls of 2-ply, quilted toilet paper, a roll of paper towels, a dishwasher tablet, small dishwashing liquid, sponge, 2 small soaps, 2 small shampoos, trash bag, and coffee including sweeteners, stir sticks, powdered creamer to make that first pot. These are intended to get you started while you make your list and decide where to shop (there is a WalMart, Kroger, Randall's, Arlan's and Target on the island, as well as many mom & pop grocery stores.
The Victorian condominium complex is located on Seawall Boulevard with protected (traffic signal) crossing at the corner for ease of getting to the beach. You will be close to shopping and eateries - so whether you plan to experience Galveston's culinary adventures or save money by cooking in (some or all of your meals) it's convenient from this central Seawall Boulevard Location.
The Victorian condominium complex – like almost every condominium complex and hotel in Galveston, charges a parking/resort/amenity fees. This is not a charge from My Galveston Getaway and is paid directly to the complex upon your arrival. They will issue a parking permit and may issue wristbands that identify guests who are authorized at the complex. They will also provide guests with the codes for the gates to enter the property - both drive-through and walk through, pools, hot tubs, fitness center and the WiFi code which is changed monthly. It is a complex-wide WiFi system. The charge is $35 + tax and includes up to 2 parking permits. This is for stays that are up to 7 consecutive nights in duration. For stays of 8-31 days it is $70 + tax, and for extended stays it is $70 + tax per month. We are unable to collect this in advance and pay it to the Victorian on your behalf. We don’t get to make the rules, we just play by them!
There are several pay-per-use laundry facilities at the Victorian, these accept credit and debit cards as methods of payment.
The Victorian complex does not allow renters to have a pet – so if you travel with Fido or Fifi – please check out the other My Galveston Getaway managed properties that ARE dog friendly. While true service animals are an exception – you very well may be asked by the complex to provide the verification. For short term rental/vacation purposes – emotional support animals are not considered true support animals and we are unable to make exceptions to a rule that is in place and enforced by a complex in which we manage condos. Kindly be respectful.
All properties managed by My Galveston Getaway are 100% non-smoking/non-vaping properties.
After making your reservation you will receive a link to complete our renters agreement. The only information we request differently than the booking platforms (VRBO/AirBnB) is your personal email address, the names and ages of each person who will be in the property during your stay, and your driver’s license information as well as an emergency contact should we need to reach someone on your behalf. Thank you for completing this in a timely manner so that we may send you the check-in instructions for the property you have reserved.
Galveston is a barrier island located in the Gulf of Mexico. The island is susceptible to rainstorms, thunderstorms and even a hurricane now and then. Sometimes these result in temporary power and WiFi outages. We strongly encourage our renters to consider purchasing trip interruption/cancellation protection either through the platform that you book through or some other source. My Galveston Getaway issues refunds if a governmental official issues a mandatory evacuation of the island. Unfortunately we are unable to control sunshine, temperatures and mosquitos and do not refund other than pursuant to our policy based on evacuation orders. Thank you for understanding.
Again – the parking/resort/amenities/facilities fee is one charged by the condominium complex, not by the owner of the condo or My Galveston Getaway and we appreciate your understanding.
For all reservations made directly through our website and through VRBO, there is a $300 security deposit “hold” required. You certainly can purchase trip cancellation/interruption coverage through those platforms as well if you so desire, this is a damage “deposit” hold. This is released once our housekeepers advise that the property has been left in the condition received with no damages occurring during your stay. This is not a charge, but a hold on the credit card on file with which the reservation is made. Should there be damages and they exceed $300 to repair or replace, you will be notified and asked to make arrangements to compensate for those items.

Great location
We have stayed at The Victorian in the past and have always enjoyed it. Check in was easy. Everything was consistent with what is advertised. We like the location and the amenities available. I enjoyed people watching from the first floor but a higher floor does give better unobstructed views of the ocean. The staff was helpful and friendly. The room/bathroom situation has always worked for us at a reasonable price. We will definitely come back.

There was a little confusion on the door code. The one they sent me didn't work but they were quick to help me get in when I called them. There were ants on the floor but they should spray now that they are aware. It is on the ground but with a great beach view!

Great for what we needed.
We were in town for a conference at the convention center. There was originally going to be four of us but one wasn’t able to go. It was a great place for the price for the three of us. Four may have been crowded but we really weren’t in the condo for long. The place was clean and had enough space for all of us. I would compare it to a hotel suite that has two rooms and a living space. I prefer this over a hotel. The drive to the convention center wasn’t long. Walking to the beach was easy to get to. The only thing that I noticed from the pictures that wasn’t there was the curtain over the entry way to the bunk room/alcove. The mattresses were a bit hard but not uncomfortable. We were just used to memory foam ones. We would stay here again.

The condo was OK. The queen beds were so hard (I'm chunky and the mattress didn't even move) and the bunk beds were way to soft the girls sank in them. My husband had to go out and purchase a set of allen wrenches to tighten up the bunk beds, they were so loose the bed wasn't secure.. The kitchen amenities were sparse & old (need to be replaced) We were only given 1 wash cloth for 6 people for our stay. I emailed them on a few things missing and they did go out and purchase us a new skillet & can opener. I do believe this condo needs a good once over. The price is right for what you get. The pool was really nice, location was great. I'm going into detail in case the owner is not aware of all the issues.

Not great
Ok but issues with the property upkeep. Bed frame broke the first night, vent over microwave blew off with use, only a toaster oven in the rental for a family of 7, dishwasher not attached to the cabinet shell and leaking shower door. Property manager wasresponsive and attentive (most things fixed the next day) but very accusatory that my well behaved grandchildren were responsible “jumping on the bed” and damaging it when the bed had obvious signs of previous damage and repair. Overall pleasant experience but uncomfortable interactions with a less than hospitable property manager. Unfortunate as we as VERY responsible, respectful renters and even left a new set of kitchen towels as we stained the ones in the home while removing a pizza from the toaster oven since there were no hot pads provided. We also left new hot pads and extra trash bags, dishwasher tabs and laundry soap for the next renters or owners. Won’t use this property or management company in the future

Please accept my apologies for reiterating the contractors' words that something was jumping or bouncing on the bed that caused the damage - and my assumption that it was you well-behaved grandchildren. Perhaps it was not them who damaged the bed. The same was said by the contractor about the board above the microwave - no possible explanation for normal use of the microwave would cause that to be removed.
The shower door does not leak when closed all the way.
My grandchildren, too, are well-behaved, but accidents happen. One of the founding principles of the company is that we make mistakes and when we do we believe that it is how we recover from those mistakes that shows our true character.
As for the toaster oven - that is what is advertised as being in the property and is reflected in the photos as well.
Had we been contacted about the oven pads not having been returned by our housekeeper - those would have been brought as well as we are very responsive to our guest needs as evidenced by having the damages repaired quickly.
We hope you find another manager who is half as responsive as we are to guest needs. Best wishes to you and your well-behaved grandchildren.
