We had a good night sleep here for a family of seven. The location was great for our trip and the price for the property was modest. We felt lucky to find this property. Beautiful view and comfortable home.

Great location with wonderful views of the Eel River. Lots of trees around for shade. Also very close to many Redwood Groves, the Visitors Center, markets and restaurants. The rooms were cozy, and the kitchen and bathrooms were clean and well stocked. TV and WiFi were great. Rooms each have their own air conditioning unit. A little TLC on the steps and deck would be my only recommendation. Didn't get a chance to use the sauna, but it was clean and ready to go. We'd love to stay again.

This house was a fantastic home base for us. Comfortable beds, clean, well stocked kitchen and bathrooms. Showers had excellent water pressure and host thought of everything one may need. The view is amazing, quiet location at the top of a hill. Would definitely recommend.

The house was lovely, comfortable and well stocked. There is road noise, but that just means you can hop on the freeway to some amazing hikes and be there in 15 minutes. We especially enjoyed Drury-Chaney trail. My teens loved the swimming hole right down the hill where they jumped off rocks and swung on a rope swing.

What a beautiful house and spectacular view of the river from the dining room and master. The kitchen was well stocked and we even had fresh eggs to enjoy. The beds were comfortable and the living area was cozy. I would stay again, the location was right on the Avenue of the Giants.

Redwood dreams

River View Home is a great base for exploring the Avenue of the Giants. It's got a well-stocked kitchen and a wonderful spacious bedroom on the main floor. It's by far the most private of the three houses on the property, and Marisa was a pleasure to work with. Just don't wait until you get to Miranda to buy your groceries. And don't be put off by the small number of reviews here -- there are hundreds of glowing reviews elsewhere on the interwebs.

Gorgeous home and furnishings. Well appointed with everything you need in kitchen and bathrooms. The view of the river was lovely and we enjoyed the deck. Very safe and secure gated property. Leather recliner was comfy. House was clean and bright. Twinkly lightening outside was charming and helpful at night. Bee hive in tree next to deck was fascinating to observe. Felt tucked into the woods, private and quiet. Sauna heated up quickly. Sheets and bedding were clean and comfy. Cons; difficult to get up gravel driveway in one spot with small low car. Only a master bathroom on ground floor so I had to share it as my friend had difficultly getting up and down the steep stairs to second floor bathroom. My friend thought the highway noise was loud but it didn’t bother me. Really nothing to complain about, photos matched and it was a beautiful home and property and felt very cozy. wish we had more time there!

Great property up in the trees with a fantastic view. Had a small hiccup in the WiFi and Marissa jumped in and saved the day. Very quick response. Beds were sooooo comfortable and ** bonus** there’s an air conditioning unit in each room. Kept us all at the perfect temp. Do wish the master had a king instead of a queen, there is plenty of room for it.Didn’t use the sauna but it looked really cute and rustic. Outside furniture could use some thicker cushions but I’m just getting picky. The place was perfect for my husband and I and our favorite auntie!

January in Northern California

We had a nice stay at this Vrbo. Great place to get right on the Avenue of the Giants, which is a beautiful drive. The house had what we needed. There is a small grocery store nearby which can give you all the basics. Beds were comfortable and I appreciated there were plenty of towels in the bathroom. On the down side, the road (driveway?) next to the property looks like the local dump. Lots of abandoned cars and junk. The property is a great place for kids to explore nature. But it’s on a hilltop so you need to be able to manage hills if you want to join them! We didn’t have the greatest weather so we couldn’t use the fire pit like we would have liked to.

I’m glad you enjoyed your visit! A summer visit would allow use of the fire pit and also enjoy time at the river. The neighbor is very elderly and kind, but believes all his things to be treasures- perhaps one day he will take us up on the offer to help him clean up a bit. The local’s favorite swimming spot is right across the Avenue of the Giants by the bridge, and there is a large parking area there, making it a little easier for folks to enjoy time at the river without walking back uphill to the house
