This VRBO was as advertised if not better. Large rooms and a great kitchen and patio area for gathering! Close proximity to many great retailers and restaurants!
Our group had a great time at this property! Plenty of space to spread out, loved the basement hang out space, owners were easy to get in touch with and very accommodating and responsive. House was well organized and clean. We already have it booked again for another upcoming trip and canât wait to go back!
Loved the house. Spacious, airy, seating for 8 at the kitchen table, lots of seating in the game room so our group of 8 friends could hang out together easily. Short drive to a downtown Food Tour, Churchill Downs, a horse farm tour, and a 1 block walk to Graeters ice cream ! Ray is a helpful & friendly host. Highly recommend!
The location was very good and the unit was clean. There were plenty of beds and bathrooms, but no tub (which would have made bathing the babies and young children in our group easier). The basement room is still a bit of "a work in progress" but we still utilized it a lot - great play space for the kids.
The owner was quickly and fully responsive related to a couple of minor problems.
Overall = recommended.
The house is in a sought-after location called St Matthews. I was fortunate enough to get to grow up just five streets from this house and I currently live only 1/2 mile away. I've raised my three daughters in St Matthews and we all love this area. My father is an architect, I'm an architect and two of my three daughters are on the path to becoming architects. My daughters and I designed the renovation and together we selected all the colors, finishes, furniture and artwork. We had a fun time transforming this property and I enjoy showing it to my guests. I also like meeting the guests and learning what brings them to Louisville and to Whiskey Business. My hobbies are travel, fitness, songwriting and foosball.
This is the perfect location for a short term rental because it's so close to 6 night clubs called the "St Matthews Bar Crawl" but it's also a great place for families. It's within walking distance of 40 restaurants, coffee shops, ice cream, liquor stores, etc. I have a website with a map showing the proximity of the property to all the restaurants and night clubs, etc. It has a vibrant night life with an upscale vibe. It's very safe and walkable, even at night. There aren't many STR's in this area because St Matthews doesn't allow them. This property is physically located in St Matthews but it is technically a City of Louisville property. I love this neighborhood because I grew up here and still live here. This house was on my paper route when I was 14-years old so I also have a sentimental connection.
