This home features high-end appliances, windows & doors, beautiful hardwood floors, 3 modern linear fireplaces, cathedral wood & coffered ceilings, elegant lighting, stunning accent walls, & elaborate trim throughout.

My wife and I bought the most beautiful slice-of-heaven we've ever seen and filled it with high-end finishes & luxury furniture. We’ve put in an unbelievable game room featuring LED Shuffleboard, LED Foosball, Ping Pong (outside), Pool Table, LED Air Hockey, and 2 Retro Arcade Machines featuring 28 of the best arcade classics of all time. And guests have been absolutely loving our pickleball set-up in the drive or cul de sac and our brand new 7-person hot tub. But your group may not notice any of those things because they won't be able to take their eyes off of the best sunset views of any North Carolina vacation home, anywhere; that's just our personal opinion, but we'd love to hear yours. Fabulous home with beautiful views. The hosts were very helpful and responsive. Our group ranging from 5 to 73 years old were all captivated by the place and activities. In addition to the game tables and video games, a large selection of board games was also welcome. Plenty of glasses and silverware. The kids on the bunk room floor didn’t mind coming down to share bathrooms on the main levels. We would love to visit again!

The house & location are absolutely breathtaking. Communication with the host was easy, we had a couple hiccups in the very beginning but they were very, very quickly resolved. Our stay was late October & we were expecting some chilly nights but the outdoor heaters were such a pleasant surprise!! Really made the outdoor space comfortable. We would definitely recommend the location to others.

Perfect weekend getaway

The Perfect Setting for a Special Celebration

We stayed at Viewtopia for our early October wedding weekend and had a wonderful experience. The home was exactly as described—clean, spacious, and beautifully appointed with everything we needed. We had such a great time here. This was the PERFECT place for my family of ~20 and I to stay for a week vacation. You really can’t beat this house + its location. Amazing Ladies Retreat!!

We had a wonderful Ladies Retreat at Viewtopia! The sunset views were amazing! The house was BEAUTIFUL had all the amenities that we needed! I would like to also add that Danny and Careena were EXCELLENT to work with! A+++ on communication!! We had a view hiccups and they were QUICK to get them worked out. We will definitely be back!

Excellent Work Retreat Location

Lovely, quit part of Lake Gaston, and the perfect house for our group of 7 remote colleagues to get some in-person time. Both main levels of the house are basically self-contained spaces with bedrooms, bathrooms and even a second kitchen downstairs! House is in like-new condition and lakeviews are beautiful. Boathouse/dock is well-equipped and has plenty of room for lounging/swimming.

Great stay!

We had a wonderful stay with our family at this location. The house water and dock were perfect for our size family. We had two boats and one JetSki. Also, when the air conditioning unit in the basement start working, the owner sent a service call immediately, and the air-conditioning was back up and running within hours. Super great response from the owner of this home. Thanks again for a wonderful stay!

A Wonderful Holiday Stay

Viewtopia was perfect for our Friendsgiving! Plenty of space for all of us. Lots of activities to keep everyone having fun both indoors and out. The house was clean and comfortable. One of the best kitchens we've had in a VRBO - plenty of pots/pans, cutting boards, knives, silverware, dishes, etc. We never ran out. It was a great stay and the best house we have rented in the 25 years of doing our Friendsgiving. Plus, the hosts were responsive and helpful. We would certainly rent again.

50th Birthday Celebration

Our entire family came together to celebrate a milestone birthday. The theme of the weekend... Age is not a guarantee of maturity. We loved playing all the games downstairs, enjoyed the water, loved the dock, jumping into the water, and taking out the kayaks, paddleboards, and flotations. The house is beautiful, and although big enough for all of us, we found ourselves always gathered together. Thank you!

2023 Birthday Weekend Getaway

I spent my 46th birthday at this property with my husband, a few family members, and friends. The privacy of the location was what i was looking for. This property has high-tech, state of the art appliances. The property has not one, but two immaculate master bedrooms as well. We couldn't have chosen a better property. Im definitely looking to secure this same location for October 2024!

We thoroughly enjoyed the amenities of this house. Lots of room to spread out. The dock area was fantastic - a place to tie up our boat and jet ski as well as seating area in the shade below the deck where it was so breezy and cool. We had so much fun with the kayaks and paddle boards. What a nice amenity to the house! The lake is beautiful and clean and was not at all crowded during the week. Weekend days had more boats on the water as you might expect. One highlight was finding an osprey nest that was built on the upper deck of another boat house - so fascinating to see !

Absolutely Wonderful

This venue is amazing and I highly recommend it. This is an ideal setting for large families, groups, and formal events. The house is spacious, very well stocked and beautifully decorated. There is plenty to do in the game room if you have to be indoors, but the main attraction is the ideal location on the lake. The views can not be beat. That area of the lake is quiet and the boat/house dock are where we spent a a great deal of time there. The owners were so helpful with our questions and very timely in their response. The house sits in a very quiet cul de sac with ample parking for larger groups. We had 16 people and had ample bedroom and bathroom space for our group with room to spare. We will definitely look into booking here again.

Great house for large group

Aptly titled Viewtopia is a gorgeous house with fantastic views over Lake Gaston. We had 3 families for a total 15 people and there was more than enough space. In fact, the rooms are bigger than the pictures convey. The commons spaces in particular are huge. House was fully stocked, from the kitchen (e.g. coffee machines, blenders, crock pot, etc) to the activities (e.g. air hockey, pool table, board games, etc). A lot of attention to detail like the heaters on the deck, which was well used as we were there over New Years. Appreciated the two dining room tables in the great room which enabled the entire group to comfortably eat together. Highly recommend the house for a large group or reunion.

Lives up to its name and more!

Our group of 10 + a few toddlers rented this property for a long, late summer weekend- it was perfect. The house is a new build with tasteful finishes and extremely clean. It’s enormous with multiple indoor and outdoor areas to hang out with your group. Rooms are generously sized and even had extra large walk in closets (a perfect place for sleeping little babes). The kitchen has high end appliances and ample seating for family dinners. The house comes with games galore- air hockey, ping pong, shuffleboard, a kayak, SUPs, board games, and more. The chef’s kiss though is the amazing view. Situated right on the lake, the background for our stay was picturesque. For a newer rental, I was surprised at how well prepared/stocked the house was with extra little amenities- every utensil you could need for making meals, a variety of cooking herbs, brand new high chair + pack n’ play for young families like us, plus all of the essentials like paper products and linens. We met Danny and his family at check in. They were extremely kind, offering us newly received house merch and ensuring we had everything we needed for our weekend. We’ve stayed in 20-30+ short term rentals- this one is a new favorite. Our group rotates where we stay each September but we may have just found our new permanent go-to.

Pourquoi avoir choisi cet hébergement ?

We've vacationed at North Carolina beaches for years, and there really is something unique & special about Lake Gaston. The fresh water swims, the tall oak trees you can steal an afternoon nap under, the cool breeze providing perfect shade temperatures on those 90° summer days. As for this particular property, well, we've just never seen a more beautiful home in our whole lives. We think you will enjoy it too.
