I appreciate your feedback regarding the dining room, lighting, and accessibility. As a nearly 300-year-old historic home, there are some original features and limitations that differ from a modern home, and we continue updating our listing so guests know what to expect. Regarding communication, I’m sorry you felt we weren’t responsive. During your stay, I responded to your request for additional sugar, which was the only request that required action. I also received messages letting me know about your minor car accident and that you weren’t feeling well, and I understood those as updates rather than requests for assistance. So sorry you didn’t like your experience we do suggest to guests to follow the house instructions including closing windows and doors when running all the ac units. If a guest chooses not follow the house rules we are just as baffled by their behavior as they might be as to why things don’t go the way they expected.

Amanda - the main issue is simple- Your visit would have been great had you listened to the clear instructions on parking. The house rule as stated is Parking is four cars max in driveway. You texted me questions on parking which I promptly replied despite my busy schedule -I allowed for Overflow parking at my house on the same Rd just a few houses down. It usually is furtthwrndoen the rd and not walking distance to the house. You used this extra parking but a few decided not to. I realize you were busy with your wedding but this is why I make the overflow parking very simple to follow. I am sorry if your visitors didn’t listen and literally parked on top and into the 550 year old tree damaging the bark. It is oldest black walnut tree that exists in the northeast. It can’t be replaced and I will protect so long as I own the house. I am very busy on weekends with my job so driving by means I am going to my own house and not to bother my guests. I do live off this road and own and am working on several homes on The same road so seeing my car go by a few times makes sense. I try to go above and beyond with guest and something allow for extras such as extra visitors and photos in my lovely home- if you enjoy that and can adhere to simple overflow parking rules than this is the house for you! Tampering with the outside security system is strictly not allowed as stated in rules as well (sends me alerts so of course it becomes an issue) as well which I think applies to any business.
