Very nice place for a home base. We spent time in the very private back deck. We walked the trail that is steps from the house. Great little coffee bar - thanks! Jen was responsive and a great communicator. Everything we needed.
The house was very clean and cozy in a great neighborhood. Good location to everything around Denver. The owner was very prompt as well for answering any questions. I had would stay here again.
Great house in a quiet neighborhood. Lots of space to spread out. The master bed was a bit too firm for our liking. Other than that it was a nice place to stay. Easy access to Red Rock and west of Denver.
This house was located in a great neighborhood right next to a nice walking trail. The house is basic and had everything we needed for our weekend. We were seeing a show in Red Rocks and it was a nice easy drive.
Location was fine for our plans. We had 5 people staying and was counting on the bedroom with 2 queen beds, which was inaccurate. Nice deck, but had rotting soffit and a musty smell, which came into the house. The master shower was full of black mold around the base. No soap for the dishwasher.
They canceled our reservation 24 hours before our stay and had some excuses
I am very unhappy they canceled our reservation less than 24 hours before check in. Offered no help to find alternative accommodation and said we would not get a refund for up to 15 days. Very poor customer service. Will never recommend using this place.
Wonderful fenced in property with deck! We loved sitting outside at night. House was spacious and accommodated us great. Neighborhood is quiet and easy to get to places.
Great cozy home in Arvada. Nicely landscaped front and backyard. Tv was a little small. Needed more interior lights, it was dark trying to play board games. Great location. Nice kitchen amenities and coffee bar. Beds were comfy and clean. I would stay here again on future trips to Colorado to see family.
We loved the house and location. It was perfect for our girls weekend! It was close to lots of things we were doing and the area has everything you need. The house is very open so we could be in different rooms but still felt together. Like others said thereâs no washer/dryer but we werenât affected. Curious why there is a record player but no records? Also the shower head in the smaller bathroom could use replacing but it works. Overall the house is awesome and the host made it easy to stay. Would definitely stay again if we come back to Denver!
We were in Arvada for a family wedding, even though that was in Boulder, the location was perfect. Family gathered and we were able to access the light rail for airport runs. Loved Old Arvada. Went to Casa Bonita. Only thing was the TV is a little small for group viewing! Will come again when back in town.
Our family enjoyed the weekend, here at Rip's Rest. Our two small dogs LOVED racing around the back yard, while we relaxed and ate on the porch. While a bit older, the house was clean and everything worked, just fine. We would stay here, again.
The house was good for our short stay. Owners are easy to communicate with. House was clean and comfy beds. The swamp cooler kept us cool in the 100+ temps. Bring your own entertainment - there is only one smaller TV. Since we were gone most of our time, we didn't mind. We did enjoy Uno Flip. As for the location - unless you want a walk, you will need a car to get to grocery and restaurants.
This house was *perfect* for our needs - family of four traveling with our dog. Huge well fenced backyard. Three private bedrooms. Large kitchen. Cozy family living room with TV.
Unlike many vacation rentals this house was well stocked upon arrival - both with plenty of paper products (plates, paper towels, toilet paper, etc...) and also a fully functional kitchen. Hand soap and shampoo in both bathrooms. We never had to shop for supplies during our week long stay.
The house was very clean when we arrived and all furniture was in terrific shape. It feels like a perfectly preserved house from when I was a child in the 80s and it's clear whoever owns this place really takes care of it lovingly. Felt a little like a friend had lent me their house for the week rather than a soul-less vacation rental. We would definitely return!
We loved the town of Arvada. The house was in a safe quiet neighborhood and we found so much to do and the restaurants had amazing food. It was convenient getting around and perfect for our Red Rock concert trip
