This home is located central of downtown where you can enjoy antique shops, restaurants and another unique thing about it is that everthing is nearby thanks in advance hope you have a pleasent stay in a Cozy Home
The neighborhood is a little scary as there are homes that are condemned and overall a little rough looking. The light in the front bedroom didnât work and we had no interest and no TV the entire stay. There was 1 fork in the drawer for the 5 of us that were booked to stay. It was clean and easy to access, and served the purpose of somewhere to sleep for a quick overnight trip, but I wouldnât stay for an extended period.
I was there for family weekend at Texas Tech. It was me, my daughter and two granddaughters (one attending Texas Tech).
The home was clean and comfortable. New appliances.
The yard and all the yards in the neighborhood were a mess. But neighborhood was quiet and safe.
Overall a good place to stay.
We had an individuals in our family that is in a wheel chair. The last two houses we stayed in he was unable to get in the bathroom with his chair. This house had a good ramp and the bathroom was accessible and had a bench in the shower that made it easy to bathe.
Grew up in Plainview in the 80's and took a trip back to visit family and friends. The house is convenient to everything and just the right size for my needs. Everything was in good shape and clean, which isn't always the case with rental homes. Would definitely stay again in the future. Looked like the property was still in the process of getting fixed up so I expect an even better stay next time. Thank you for a great experience.
If You're Looking for Cheap & Simple Accommodations, This Spot Is For You
We chose this property because there weren't very many choices for this location. The interior of the home was clean though a few updates are needed. The kitchen is simply equipped - don't expect a lot of amenities. The exterior of the home needs some work (fence and accessibility ramp) plus the neighborhood is very rough. We had some issues checking in because the owner was not responsive. We ended up having to get VRBO involved for a resolution.

Weekend getaway
The inside was fine but outside needs some tlc. There was no extra linen for sofa bed which would have been fine except that I didnât know so didnât bring my own. The outside porch was difficult to manage as they do not have railings and the high step up and step down was difficult as I had some elder people with me. The outside definitely needs some tlc. If he doesnât fix the outside access not sure I would visit again. I just didnât like trying to get up and down- I didnât want anyone to fall and it definitely was a fall hazard.
Even if we booked this stay well in advance we got stuck on our trip due a severe winter storm. We sent a message to the host 48 hours before our planned stay explaining the situation and asking to move our reservation to the next day, if possible. Zero answers for more than 24h so we had to find another place to stay. Only when I contacted Vrbo customer service (after more than 24h from my initial request), and they called the host he refused to give us any refund. While I do respect the refund policy I do not accept the complete lack of communication and respect of guests. This property should not be listed as a short term rental with such a poor management and attitude.
The home is cozy as the title suggests. It was very clean when we arrived. I had requested a 4th dining chair which was there when we arrived. The home, being very old, yet updated nicely, has its quirks. We appreciated the washer/dryer on site and that the shower was handicap accessible. There is also a handicap ramp to use from the driveway to the porch.
The choice of K-cups for the coffee maker was a nice surprise. There was plenty of bedding which was nice for the person that slept on the couch. The home is situated in an older part of town. We would definitely stay there again if the need would arise.
