Galloway Cottage- Bikes and fire pit

Keeping it simple at this peaceful and centrally-located hidden gem cottage. As our guests you will experience a quiet get-away with full amenities and adventure just steps away. Equipped with a full kitchen, Wi-Fi, washer & dryer, queen bed upstairs, and fold-out couch downstairs. Enjoy a book under the covered front porch, play a game of corn hole, relax in the hammock, or hop on one of the bicycles provided with rental to explore miles of Greenway trails or just enjoy a evening by the firepit. Pet friendly and perfect for walks and enjoying the Ozarks with many trails nearby.
Open floor plan downstairs includes the living room, kitchen, and private bathroom. a comfortable bar for dining, TV and large futon for seating or additional sleeping area. Beamed ceiling on the ground floor is only 6 foot 3 inches tall, so tall people be aware.

Fully equipped kitchen includes stove, fridge, microwave, coffee pot, and other items.

Private upstairs bedroom includes queen size bed, dresser, large closet. Additional seating and separate workspace.

Bathroom has vanity with a large mirror and walk-in shower.
Guest access
Guests have whole house access to all amenities including games, bikes, and a comfortable hammock.
Other things to note
Neighborhood is safe and quiet. Within walking and biking distance to many restaurants including Galloway Station, The Rock, and Andy's Frozen Custard.

Solo Trip

Travelled to MO to fish Table Rock and visit Bass Pro. This property was quaint and a perfect location with its proximity to HWY 65. I enjoyed the hammock and outdoor seating immensely.

Cozy cabin getaway great success!

Wonderfully accommodated. Very cozy and cute home layout. Perfect for a weekend away. Hosts were very communicative and helpful with suggestions of places to visit. Hosts thought of everything and provided snacks, coffee, bug spray, essential oils, and more to use to make our stay even more comfortable.

Great Springfield option

The Galloway cottage was perfect for our needs. It is small and the ceiling is definitely low, but it is conveniently located and a great value. The cottage was clean and efficient, and the hosts were helpful and available!

Perfect spot to get away

We wanted to get away for a couple of days and still have some space and freedom. This location was far enough from the city to feel like it was on the edge of the country, but still close enough to get anywhere in Springfield without too much hassle. The hammock was great, and everything was nice. This is not a 5 star luxury hotel, but it is very nice and I would go back.

Very disappointing… lots of bugs inside and out! Lawn overgrown and could not take advantage of the fire pit. Cottage was dusty and a rancid smell to it. My husband coughed all night from the amount of dust in the air from the air units

Delightful

A quaint old-fashioned pretty cottage with every modern convenience. And we were surprised to find ourselves in a secluded lot on the edge of the woods, not far from walking trails. We expect to stay there again next time we are in the Springfield area.

Adorable Cottage

We love your little cottage. The location was perfect-easy walking distance to a couple of good restaurants and easy drive to freeways. The upstairs bed was very comfortable. The sofa couch adequate. We enjoyed the covered front patio and the birds.

This cute cottage is truly a hidden gem. We stayed 5 nights and enjoyed the quiet neighborhood within walking distance of great local restaurants. We’ddefinitely stay again! Thanks to our excellent hosts!

Cozy and wuaint

Very nice tiny house. I'm glad I wasn't taller. The exposed joists are a little low but if you're under 6'4" you will be fine. The bed was extremely comfortable and the location was perfect for where our event was held. Definitely would recommend this for a nice relaxing stay in Springfield.

Excellent hidden getaway

We recently spent two nights at this charming cottage, and it was a wonderful experience. The cozy atmosphere and all of the amenities made us feel right at home. We loved the perfect blend of comfort and convenience, with the city just a short distance away for exploring. Every moment felt special, from relaxing on the porch to family games inside. I highly recommend this lovely retreat for a memorable getaway!

Lighting and safety issues

Property is great for a little getaway. Location is great and they have games and nice piece of property to enjoy during nice weather. Inside however has terrible lighting. Literally no lights in the kitchen over the counter to be able to see if you’re trying to cook. The ceilings are low so the string lights that end near the fridge don’t provide any light for actually cooking or prepping at all. Hot and cold water in the vanity is reversed, which I’ve found to be done by cheap properties to try and save money. I find that annoying and dishonest as humans are creatures of habits. Couple electrical safety issues that need addressed asap, upstairs to the left of the bed there’s a switch for a sconce light near the closet. That switch has exposed wire surface mounted to the wall and just painted as if that’ll hide the huge safety issue of exposed wires running along drywall/panelling. They wire has to be pinched to get behind the cover plate and into the actual box. Other issue is exposed romex surface mounted on the drywall/panelling for a heater upstairs. Both issues are huge safety concerns and if I had kids staying at the property I’d be very upset

Missouri Thanksgiving!

The cottage was great. We had some issues with finding it initially with our gps. It was dark and kept bringing us on the street behind the cottage and we couldn’t see it. My main problem was that I arrived quite sick and the main floor couch bed wasn’t comfortable. It would have been ok.if I wouldn’t have been so sick and 74 years old!!🙄

Loved the location!

We loved the cabin and location. It was like being in the country with all the city amenities close by. We had deer in yhe yard and took advantage everyday of the park and walking trails. Tank you for the Andy's hift card!

We both grew up within 20 minutes of Springfield area. We married out of high school in 1988, raised 2 beautiful daughters that have blessed our family with 2 son in laws and 2 beautiful grandchildren. Johnny retired from a long career with Springfield City Utilities and now has a successful career in real estate. Robyn spent an amazing 25 year career as RN, in School Nursing. Now we love sharing our experiences, stories and our Air BNB’s with families so they can make memories too.

The property is unique little cottage that is nestled in a very safe neighborhood, we allow families to bring their fur babies, it’s located within a five minute drive of any thing you would need to make your stay memorable. Bonus, it has a cottage in the Woods atmosphere and our guest love seeing the wildlife that happen by for a visit too.
