Beautiful property in a lovely neighborhood. We were within minutes of everything we did. Communication with the property managers was easy and prompt. This trip being a âmatureâ girls trip, the house worked out perfectly for us. Yes, we would do it again!
Our whole experience at 91-B Guesthouse was first rate, beginning with parking and ease of entry. The cleanliness of the house, the nicely equipped kitchen, the furnishings, AC, etc, it was all good. Plus, the location in a vibrant neighborhood was an additional pleasure.
Great house, great communication, summer heat is an issue
The house was overall great. Exactly as advertised, clean, and in a great location. Communication with the host was also great as well.A major issue for us tho was that the house doesnât have enough AC to keep up with the heat when itâs over 90-91 degrees outside. It was hotter than that while we were there, 95 or so each day for the first three days. It was 80 in the house all day, and didnât get under 75 until well after 1am. By 7a each morning it was down to 71-72, but was back at 75-76 by 10am and only got worse from there. This made the house essentially unusable during the day, and very very hot at night for sleeping. The host responded timely and had the ACs checked quickly but nothing was done and our 80 internal temps were deemed un fixable due to âunseasonably high heat.âThe fact that the house doesnât have enough AC to cool properly when temps are above 90 should be mentioned in the listing. Apparently this has been an issue before because there are box fans scattered throughout the house. End result: I paid a nice chunk of change to sweat through the sheets each night. So if you go during the summer and temps are over 90, be aware that the house will be mostly unusable during the day and extremely uncomfortable at night.
Stayed with family and a friend for a long weekend of our son's wedding. It was spacious, and felt luxurious. Loved the accomodations and the location.
This house was so charming and perfectly Charleston!! The wrap around porch and sweet courtyard was exactly what we were looking for with my whole family coming in for our sonâs graduation. The rooms were comfortable, the beds nice and large and the bathrooms were updated. We did have an issue with one of the showers not draining but communication with the team was quick and responsive. They came within the hour and fixed it. I only wish I had booked all the houses in the cul de sac for my whole group! Will absolutely stay again.
The GuestHouse of Charleston truly exceeded our expectations! The house is located in a prime location, allowing walking to most the popular areas. The house was spotless on arrival, we never experienced any issues. It was the perfect getaway to celebrate! Will be booking again in the future.
The Manor was exceptional clean, spacious, with a Victorian presence. Each couple had their own restroom. It was in a great location. We needed parking for three cars and Carrie accommodated us with a spot at a different facility at no cost. We arrived early from Florida and were able to enter the establishment. The beds were comfortable and there was lots of sunlight. Enjoyed the porch and balcony. The only concern was the stairs were misleading, since the rail ended there is still one step on the bottom floor and we kept falling. Maybe a yellow strip or something would help. There were no coffee filters but this was not an inconvenience. I would highly recommend The Manor! They responded to all my questions and concern immediately. Florida and we were
Property walking distance to King for shopping and restaurants. Had 1 parking space. House had plenty of room for our group of 3 to spread out and be comfortable.
A wonderful house in a great location! We had 8 adults in town for a wedding and we had a great time. The host was very helpful, responsive and easy to communicate with. Highly recommend.
Iâm not a very lengthy reviewer so here goes. This is a sizable home that can easily accommodate 12 people. House has everything you need during your stay and the beds are super comfortable. I wear an Apple Watch and track my sleep and I literally had three of the best nights in my bed on the second floor . Iâll probably buy one. The only recommendation I would give to the host would to be a little more generous with bathroom towels. We had one each to use for four days. Not a big problem as there is a very nice washer and dryer. also on the second floor.
This property exceeded all expectations. It was the perfect place to have a girls weekend. The location was quiet but close to restaurants and eateries. The check-in instructions were easy and communication was prompt. Would absolutely recommend anyone to stay here and would do it again myself!!
Visited Charleston with friends & family. House was better than appears in photo and description. Ample room, nice beds (key!), generous baths and easy to use appliances - in particular loved having a gas oven. Wear and tear on the home reasonable with most all well maintained. the living rug unfortunately was torn in numerous places, surprisingly inconsistent with everything else. We brought food in from the abundant offerings from nearby restaurants --- be prepared to stock the kitchen with all the basics (spices, sugar, etc.) not a negative thing in the least as worst are those VRBOs with oodles of basic kitchen pantry items spilling everywhere. Also be prepped for parking, only one space - but hey it's downtown Charleston. We'd definitely recommend and hope to return soon!
This location if needing to spend the night before getting on you cruise ship. Very helpful employees. The location is walking distance to excellent resturants and the historic downtown. The cruise ship pier is also within walking distance but will provide a shuttle if needed.
We will stay there again and again.
We came from all over the country for my daughterâs wedding. The house was in a great location to walk around and explore charleston.
We enjoyed just sitting around in the kitchen area visiting in the mornings and as friends stopped by we had space for all! It was a wonderful VRBO!!
Our trip to Charleston included 9 girls, 4 of whom were celebrating their 70th birthday. The house definitely had enough bedrooms/bathrooms to accommodate everyone adequately. The house is really beautiful and included everything we needed for our stay, The furnishings are of high quality. We especially liked sitting on the porch drinking wine. Unfortunately, one of the girls in our party fell and opened up her new knee surgery scar. She spent 7 hours in the emergency room and didn't get back until late in the evening. We were to leave the next morning but she wasn't ready to go so I asked the property manager if we could stay past the stated check out time. She agreed and even came to the house to offer her support. We all found that to be a very gracious gesture. All in all, our stay was exceptional; one which we will remember fondly.
Really fun to have a comfortable and convenient place for parents, 4 siblings and spouses from different parts of the country to gather for a weekend wedding!
House is very nice and well stocked kitchen. Great location within 5-15 min walk to king st shopping. Owner very responsive and helped us out with special request. No overnight on-street parking. Would definitely rent again.
