The owners were great - but it wasn’t very clean at all - the pictures make it seem like your right on the lake but your not. House needs to be maintained- fans / lights wouldn’t work throughout the house. No lighting in the basement - no lighting outside near grill. For that price probably would have looked elsewhere.

We are sorry to hear about your disappointment. This information could have been shared when you locked yourselves out of the bathroom and we came immediately to help. Our housekeeper has been cleaning this home for 21 years and is meticulous. An example of what was “dirty” would have been helpful. It is clear from the pictures and description that the home sits 100 yards from the beach end of the property. The ceiling fan as mentioned during our visit was scheduled to be replaced as you know. There is plenty of lighting in the house. There are 3 lamps in the basement living area, a ceiling light in the laundry and bedrooms have lamps. There are 3 flood lights for the back entry way and patio where the grill is. We could have easily showed you where the switches were and made your stay more enjoyable. Perhaps we could label switches for future guests. We appreciate the feedback.

The 2 acres of property was very private. As mentioned in other reviews, there are some cosmetic work to be done, but for us it was perfect! 18 people were very comfortable. The supplies were wonderful and the hosts were easily reached for questions (responded right away and just lovely). The lake was great and the area was really nice and easy to get around. We would return.

Your family was such a pleasure to host!! My husband and I are retired/ retiring from teaching and will definitely be able to address some cosmetic things and update this coming year. We are so happy you thought the home accommodated 18 people easily and had enough supplies. We like to make sure people have enough supplies for their stay and don’t have to go out and get them on vacation. It’s so nice to hear that you enjoyed the lake so much and would return. We would be thrilled to host you again!

The place was great! We had a great time, relaxing at the lake, at the fire pit, and in the house. Kitchen had everything we needed for all the food we prepared. I would recommend this place to everyone. All of us girls from age 7 to 74 truly enjoyed our time. Christine is a hostess.

We came for the second year and found everything to be more than satisfactory. The house is ideal for large family gatherings, there are at least two bedrooms on 3 different floors, the kitchen is well equipped, eg there are two toasters and two 12 cup coffee makers along with sufficient table and glassware for 15 or more with tables and chairs to accommodate. The access to the lake requires a bit of a walk downhill, but for those with children under 5 this can be ideal, not likely for a toddler to wander off and be unescorted by an adult, but easy enough for everyone else. There is an additional benefit of the large backyard as it can host soccer or volleyball games for large groups.In the summer the water is warm enough for swimming and the water under 4 ft deep up to 30 yards out.There were two kayaks available and we rented a sunfish sailboat for the week that could be kept onb the beach. Lake Owasco was very good for sailing and kayaking not a lot ofo motorobat traffic. All in all we would return for a third year if it fits into the extended family plans. The Lakeview is best from a deck a flight of stairs above the dock. The beach is fairly narrow, both in width and in distance between the shoreline and the steep hill ( thus the flight of stairs to the viewing deck).

Perfect Lake House Getaway

We had a great stay at this beautiful lake house for my 40th birthday. The place was spacious, comfortable, and had everything we needed to relax with family and friends. Christine was super helpful and made everything easy. We loved the lake access and had a great time kayaking. Would definitely stay again!

Fun in the Sun

This was a great place to have a family reunion. There is a nice big yard and a wonderful waterfront area. Having 6 bedrooms was helpful also. They are smaller than they look online but It worked out.

Great space for large group

This is our second time staying at this property. It’s a great layout with lots of room for our families. The house has everything you need, a beautiful dock on the lake, and easy proximity to town. Hosts are very helpful and accommodating!
