Wonderfully quaint accommodation! Very spacious, clean, and beautifully decorated. The kitchen was well stocked with supplies. Someone in our party has severe food allergies, so a kitchen for our stay is mandatory, but the kitchen supplies are always hit or miss. To our delight, this accommodation had us spoiled for choice of supplies! The HVAC system worked perfectly and adjusted immediately to the appropriate temperature, which is helpful for the high desert climate. We had a bit of an issue with the pool upon arrival, however the host was stunningly proactive about finding a resolution. I cannot express how appreciative we were for their immediate help. Future visitors, do not be turned off by the pool review, which only reflects our experience at the current time. Our time frame of pool use was limited to the first few days of our stay. Due to the pool being out of order for the first few days, it's the honest review only for our moment in time. The host immediately purchased a brand new pool for the latter half of our stay, unfortunately we were unable to use it due to the weather getting colder. However, the next guest will be in for a treat with a brand new pool. All in all, I would highly recommend this accommodation and the host. We had a positive experience, I'm sure you will too!

Host was very responsive. Kudos for having a level 2 charger available on the outside of the house! Wifi worked great! The house was cold when we arrived but heated up nicely and stayed warm. The kitchen was well stocked. Only 3 of the burners worked but that was all we needed. Unfortunately, I did Not notice that there was no dishwasher on the listing, and that is a deal breaker for me personally because I don’t want to spend my vacation hand washing dishes, so just know that ahead of time. The bathroom is good and large, lots of towels. But the sink is set way too far back on the counter and was basically not usable for anyone 5’5 or under, and there are only 2 hooks total in the bathroom. I loved that there was a washer and dryer. Be aware they are outside though, so it was cold at night for us, and we found the dryer full of damp items. Hot tub was heated and clean but needed some steps or handrail to get up and down from the platform. The last part of the dirt road to the entrance had deep ruts so it needs to be slowly navigated. Otherwise location was good, close to 62 to get back and forth to Joshua Tree entrance and groceries, etc. There is a boarded up vacant property right next door to the unlocked side gate to the backyard and hot tub. So that was a little unsettling using the hot tub at night, but we didn’t have any problems while we were there. Bring USB adapters because there are limited USB ports.

This property is just like the pictures. Situated in a quiet neighborhood very close to many restaurants and hidden gems. The house was very clean and well stocked including a wonderful kitchen with new appliances. The best part of it is the backyard with both a pool as well as a hot tub with a wonderful deck to tan. There is also a gas grill and a outdoor sofa as well as a hammockThe 2 bedrooms in the house are great size and there is plenty of room in the living area that has an open floor plan that connects the views of the beautiful front yard as well as the backyard.Definitely planning on staying here again in the future. Thanks Ally for being so attentive to detail and providing us with wonderful ideas for dinning in the area

Qui vous reçoit ?

Vous êtes reçu par Ally Ferguson

Image de profil de l’hôte
Hi, I’m Ally Ferguson — a California native with a deep love for the natural beauty and peaceful rhythm of the high desert. It’s long been my dream to create a boutique-style space where people can come together, unwind, and reconnect. Hosting allows me to share that dream by offering a thoughtfully designed, restorative home where families and friends can relax, reset, and make lasting memories. I’m honored to be part of your journey and hope my home brings you the same joy it brings me.

Pourquoi avoir choisi cet hébergement ?

I chose this area because it holds a special sense of history and place—it’s the original settling point where the town first began to take shape. Technically the oldest neighborhood in the high desert, it has a timeless energy that’s hard to find elsewhere. The homes here are perched up on the hillside, offering sweeping views of the valley below. It’s close enough to town for convenience, yet tucked away just enough—down a romantic dirt road—to feel completely remote and peaceful. Evenings are especially magical, with minimal light pollution, perfect for stargazing and reconnecting with the land around you.

Quels sont les atouts de cet hébergement ?

This home blends old-style charm with thoughtful modern updates, creating a space that feels both timeless and fresh. Every detail was carefully considered to bring comfort, beauty, and a sense of ease to your stay. Outside, a beautiful fire pit in the front yard offers panoramic views of the valley—perfect for sunset chats or cozy evening stargazing. You can soak in the hot tub, take a refreshing dip in the pool, or simply lounge in the sun. The fully fenced yard gives your pup the freedom to roam while you enjoy the privacy and peace this high desert retreat provides.
