Sunshine Country Cottage near Bethel Woods Center for the Arts

If you are going to any event at Bethel Woods Center for the Arts, this cottage is the perfect location for you. We would love to welcome you to our lovely cottage with newly renovated bedrooms. The acre of land where the home sits, is surrounded by a statuesque row of trees, which were handpicked from the local forest and planted around the yard to create a sense of serenity and privacy. Upon entering the home, you will instantly feel the old-world cabin charm, and the perfect balance of simplicity and cozy. Don't be surprised if you get a visit from the local curious deer. We are just a short drive from the Bethel Woods Center for the Arts, which is the original site of the infamous Woodstock Festival of 1969 is located less than a 10-minute drive away.

The home is located in Smallwood, which is a Hamlet within the town of Bethel, NY. It's surrounded by trees on a dead-end street, which means no through traffic and a peaceful location. The home has an outside deck where you can grill, a spacious covered porch, kitchen, bathroom, two bedrooms and a living room. There are several nearby homes on the street. The home is right off Rte 17B, and within a short drive to other neighboring towns. Upon arrival to the home, you will be provided with a visitor's guidebook listing all there is to do in the area and Sullivan County including but not limited to farms, restaurants, wineries, kids' activities, fishing, hiking, lakes, etc.

Rustic, midcentury modern and vintage all bundled together to make our spacious cottage, comfy and cozy. Equipped with high speed wifi, and a 50" smart roku tv. The home also has an abundance of windows to catch a nice breeze even on the covered porch. To enter the house, you must be able to walk up a set of stairs.

All the rooms have fresh, clean, crisp and comfortable bedding including a waterproof/bedbug proof protector. There is a dresser for storage in each room and larger room as a clothes rack with hangers. There is also a closet with hangers in the hallway. Well stocked kitchen with cookware and dishes are provided along with a Keurig which allows for both pods and ground coffee. Coffee, tea, creamers, sweetener, sugar and basic spices provided but you may also bring your own. Body wash, hand soap, dish liquid and cleaning supplies also provided.

You will have access to the entire house with the exception of the basement which will be locked.

An outdoor grill is available I provide the cooking utensils; you will need to purchase your own charcoal and lighter fluid. There is a Dollar General less than 5 min drive from the house where you can get supplies. Guests are expected to clean the grill and throw out burned out charcoal after it has cooled off and is no longer flammable before checking out.
