Home with Lake Access and 2023 Tri-toon available to rent
- Beautiful open concept home - Short walk down to dock on Lake Wapogasset - 2 Acre soccer field out the front door to play freely in - Plenty of Parking Space (also with a 2 car garage) - Can sleep 10 people (if you pack in you can fit more) - Pontoon and fishing boat available to rent (they are parked on dock) - 2 different places to have camp fires
We gathered with our adult children and grandkids for the weekend and all enjoyed this home so much as there were spaces for all to gather and then quiet spaces when needed too. The home was close to good state park trails that were enjoyed for hikes during the day, and then back home where the fire pit and grill were enjoyed on Saturday night. We were very happy with this VBRO experience.
Great space if you're looking for outdoor and indoor activities! The wrap around porch and fire pit areas were large and flat, making it easy to hang out there. We played a kickball game on the field connected to the property and the beach was an easy 7 minute drive away. We had a fairly large group and were able to bring our own air mattresses and fit them in the downstairs common space and up in the loft. The loft is open to the kitchen and living room areas so just don't put your light sleepers there. I would definitly go back :)
We were in town for a funeral so needed a place where our family of 5 could stay comfortably and local family could come and visit. This house was perfect. The wrap around porch, yard and fire pit gave us plenty of space to reconnect with each other. The house itself was spacious, the kitchen was well stocked and it was very clean.
We rented this home for a short family get-a-way over the 4th of July weekend. Everything was great. Communication with Jake when booking and before arrival was very easy and he was quick to respond to any questions we had. When we arrived, we were greeted to the cutest home that was clean and had a fun welcome basket waiting for us. The home was well-equipped with everything we needed. We were able to make all of our meals with everything in the kitchen and we enjoyed them outside in both the front porch and the back patio. We enjoyed hanging out by the fire pit too (which was well-stocked with lots of firewood!)
The lake was one of the highlights of the trip - it was a close walk and was fun to fish in, swim off the dock, use our kayak and paddle board and watch others having fun on the lake. There was also an awesome fireworks show that our hosts made sure we knew about.
Another highlight was the loft - our boys enjoyed staying there and the TV made for some fun family movie nights (especially during a summer storm!)
We also brought our dogs and they enjoyed the space for us to exercise them on the property and within a short distance from the home (we found two walking trails during our visit!)
Jake was a fantastic host and we highly recommend this great home. We enjoyed getting to know him and his family!
Our 4th of July weekend stay had some enjoyable moments, but overall, it was inconvenient, unsafe, and frustrating.
Positive Highlights: The lake was beautiful and ideal for fishing, swimming, and tubing. The house had ample space for about a dozen people and a few dogs.
Issues Encountered:
1. Electrical Problems:
- Lights throughout the house dimmed and flickered when multiple appliances were used.
- The electrical box popped and rattled at times.
- Some smoke detectors were non-functional or lacked batteries, a significant safety concern, especially since one downstairs bedroom lacked an egress window. In case of a fire, evacuation could have been impossible.
2. Cleanliness and Bugs:
- The glass sliding door couldn't be opened due to spiderwebs and bugs inside the screen.
- Ants appeared around the sink each morning, and spiders roamed the house. While some bugs are expected, this level of infestation was unusual compared to other cabins we've stayed in.
3. Pontoon Issues:
- The pontoon was covered in bird droppings and required extensive cleaning before use.
- Empty beer cans and bottles were found in most seats.
4. Homeowner's Response:
- Despite informing the homeowner of these issues face-to-face, he walked away from the conversation.
- He removed the pontoon keys, preventing us from using the boat for the rest of our stay.
- The home felt more like a bachelor pad than a family-friendly environment, and the homeowner made no effort to resolve our concerns.
Had a fun time with extended family for the Amery Fall Festival. Loved being so close to the lake and to town! Cute place with lots to do for the fam. My kids and the adults loved playing soccer on the front little field. Would love to have a king size bed in one of the rooms by our next stay, wink wink:)
Stayed the weekend for a wedding. Very nice place, owner was easy to contact and answered any questions. We really enjoyed our time and would recommend!
Great place, super comfortable and excellent communication from the owner. Plenty of activities for all ages. Close enough where we had a family vacation but a few friends made a day trip up. Our dog loved the huge yard and soccer field for chasing her frisbee. You can sit and watch the sunset over the lake, the lake is pretty much not useable with out a boat though which was totally fine for us, but if youâre looking for lakefront the home is about a 2 min walk to the lake. Overall very satisfied with the stay and would book again!
It's connected to over an acer of land and great fields and views. It has way more space to play and explore than any other rental property in the area!
