Perfect Setup for our Family

This house was perfect for our trip to Wisconsin to visit my nephew and his family. They stayed with us and the downstairs level could not have worked out any better, as it was the perfect setup for their family of five. The yard, dock, covered patio & lake activities were enjoyed by all!

Great place! Everything you need for a fun, relaxing getaway

We had an amazing time! The house is even better in person than in the pictures. It had everything we needed (and more) so that we could just relax and focus on having a good time. The owners were responsive to any questions and made our stay a breeze.

Great House for a Family or Group of Friends

We really enjoyed our stay. The house was comfortable for a family with plenty of bedrooms, bathrooms, sitting areas, 2 kitchens, washer and dryer and lots of outdoor space to sit and enjoy the view. The weather was great and we were able to enjoy meals on the deck off the kitchen. A short drive into town if you needed to pick up groceries, wanted to eat out, or get ice cream. Also close to plenty of lakes for fishing or just hanging out.

Great!

The house was spacious, with two kitchens, four bedrooms and three bathrooms. It also offered lots of activities with the lake, big TV for movies and game tables. We enjoyed our stay very much.

More than you could ask for

The pictures are spot on of the property. Very roomy for our three "family" couples who stayed here, each with their own bathroom. Made use of both kitchens, Upstairs for meals and prep. Downstairs for beverages, snacks and eating. Beautiful views of the river the entire stay. The supplies were over the top. They have everything you can think of. We needed a cupcake pan, they had one! Forgot the cornstarch. They had some! Impeccably clean and well maintained property.

home away from home.

The property was very nice. We had more room then my Family needed but it worked out great. I can see it being a wonderful place for a couple families. They had a paddle boat, kayaks many water floats to use. The water, when we were there had a lot of algee and we did not go in the water We golfed, and took a trip to a couple wineries, the casino is close by. Downtown Amery offers fun things to do. We had a good time, If the water would have been clearer it would have been perfect. Clear lake beach is only 15 min away and it had a very nice public beach. In a beautiful location. We did have a fun time.

Best vacation ever!

Our family loved River Haven! We spent a week there and enjoyed every minute of it. The cleaning service the owners use gets 5 stars. The house was impressively clean. It was spotless. It's also stocked with anything you could possibly need. There was an abundance of space inside and out. The kids pretty well took over the lower level, and it worked well for our family. Lots of outdoor seating with wonderful views of the river. It's a very peaceful location. The house is well stocked with plenty to do rain or shine. The weather was rainy and chilly the first 2 days so we watched movies and played games (so many to choose from!). We used the kayaks and canoe and played outdoor games. Again..so many to choose from! Mall of America is just over an hour away so we spent a day there. We took a riverboat cruise in St Croix. Walked some trails in Interstate Park. We recommend eating at the Amery Family Restaurant and Viage Pizzeria. Both had great food and service at reasonable prices. I would love to go back and stay at River Haven again, and we plan to!

Great family home

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here-EVERYTHING you need is provided. Definitely the most well stocked home we’ve stayed at. The accommodations were clean and spacious and the property and views were lovely. The owner was helpful in extending our stay after an unexpected family emergency and made a difficult time much easier with not having to relocate. We will definitely stay again as will other family members who frequently visit Amery.

Great family vacation.

We had a wonderful family vacation. Pleny of romm for our large family. The cupboards were stocked with all our cooking needs. The water was beautiful. Fire pit with wood available. Yard games and lets not forget 6 kyaks, paddle board, and paddle boat. Interstate State park is only 25 minutes away. With a great beach and hiking. We plan on coming back mext year.

Birthday celebration

We loved everything about this place. It's so clean and accomodated 7 of us very comfortably. Amy came over to meet and greet us and was very helpful but not intrusive at all. Two full kitchens and plenty of table space and space for hanging out inside. The outdoor area is great too! We all would stay here again without hesitation. Perfect for families, couples or friends. We had a great time!

Fantastic Riverfront Home!

What a fantastic place for a ladies getaway! Such a beautiful riverfront home, so roomy and comfortable! Amy was very helpful and accommodating with check-in. We had a great time using the paddleboat and kayaks and hiking on the trails at Interstate Park which was just a short drive away. Loved hanging out on the deck with the wonderful river view too! Would love to come back!!

Wonderful stay three families

It was spacious and easy for everyone to have their own space. Having two kitchens was also helpful. The beds were comfortable and having access to all the water items and lawn games added to the fun. The only drawback was there was no beach access or swimming on the property for the kids. I would highly recommend this location for anyone who wants a family get away.

Property was very nice and clean. It fit our family very well. River was very weedy but enjoyable to boat. Not much to do in the town of Amery with the highway close. Overall we enjoyed our stay.

Great area for pontooning/boating. House was very accommodating, spacious and clean. The open, roomy downstairs was very beneficial for our group of 10. Amy was very responsive to any questions or needs we had.

Excellent family get-away spot.

We can't say enough positive things about our stay at River Haven. The house was perfectly set up for our group of four adults and six kids (ages 2-months to 10-years). The kitchens are well supplied with plates, cutlery, and cooking pots/pans. There is a wide variety of indoor and yard games available. The water crafts (paddle boat, canoe, and kayaks) were enjoyed by all. We definitely recommend this place!

This place was amazing! The house had honestly everything we needed and more! We will be back!

River Haven was amazing. Beautiful house on a beautiful river! Amy greeted us when we got there and even let us put our ATVs in the garage! She was so amazing and super helpful. We had awesome luck fishing and ended up with a lot of keepers. The ATV trail was just down the road and the trails were nice to ride! This house honestly had everything! We enjoyed spending time playing games and poker on the poker table, watched a few movies on the big TV, grilling out on the massive grill, playing in the big back yard with a wonderful view of the river. Amery also had several cute shops we visited including ice cream! We also went to St Croix falls (25 min) and checked out the zoo and picked up few things at Walmart. We will be back for sure as this has been the best place we have stayed at since going up north yearly for 10 years!!!

Ken and Amy grew up on a family dairy farm in south eastern Minnesota, Bruce grew up in Central Wisconsin. Amy and Bruce have 2 grown children, Ken, Amy and Bruce all knew that they wanted to enjoy life and slow down to smell the roses. They discovered "River Haven" and instantly fell in love with the tranquility and peace that it brought them. We want to share those same feelings with all of you.
