Lakefront Escape on Amnicon Lake with Pontoon Rental & Private Beach
Enjoy serene evenings watching loons glide across Amnicon Lake and sunsets paint the sky from your own private beach and dock. This beautifully updated waterfront retreat features hardwood floors, a wood-burning fireplace, and easy access via a paved road. Walk to nearby restaurants and bars, hit the ATV trails just minutes away, and take advantage of all Northern Wisconsin has to offer. Pontoon rental available for the ultimate lake experience.
Responsive hosts; AC went out prior to our arrival and hosts brought portable units to cool the house, which worked. Family enjoyed the sandy beach, kayaks, and pontoon. Great stay.
Check-in was a breeze. This was the very first VRBO experience I've had, and it was very easy for this non-techy guy. The kitchen was clean and complete with dishes, pots, pans, silverware, cups, glasses, utensils, etc.
The cabin, lake, and neighborhood was excellent for our weekend. The kids loved playing in the beach right at the cabin as well as catching fish off the dock. The cabin was clean and comfortable for our entire family
A very nice house, situated on a beautiful lake with kayaks available to enjoy it! BUT...if you have any mobility issues there are steps and not especially safe ones. Steps from car to house need repair. SURPRISE, there are steps from kitchen down into living room! More steps from an enclosed porch down to the door to the outside. Neither has a gate to protect little ones from falling or a railing to help people with mobility impairments.
Shower didn't drain well. Shower handle was hard to figure out to get desired temperature.
We enjoyed use of the kayaks and the dock. We loved having a sandy beach and fire pit. TV was very nice for watching the Olympics. Overall, the house and outdoor area met our needs very well.
It's great to find a dog friendly cabin where the water is clean and has a great sandy beach. The cabin is older but comfortable. Bathroom has all been remodeled. Beds comfortable, too which is important to us. Kitchen well stocked. We would return.
This cabin was plenty big for our family of 6 and cozy at the same time. It was nicely decorated and felt like home. Our 2 smaller dogs enjoy the space as well as a nice walk around the lake. Our kids enjoyed watching movies with the fireplace going and overlooking the beautiful lake from the large windows. We would definitely stay here again!
We had an amazing weekend at this beautiful cabin. Heidi was so responsive and accommodating. It was a chilly fall weekend so we spent lots of time around the fire pit, listening to the water lap on the sand and the loons, and catching up with each other. Highly recommend.
We enjoyed our stay and the owner was super responsive. The house is personalized and stocked as if the owners stay there often. It's just worth knowing that in advance. An instruction document would have been helpful. The house was not as clean as we would have liked. Make sure you have everything you need before going. There is only a small corner store close by, otherwise, it's about a 25-30 minute drive to bigger stores.
My family has had cabins on Lake Amnicon for 30+ years - this was our first time staying somewhere other than our cabin and it was great! Our kids loved the sandy beach and the sunsets didnât disappoint.
Loved the house, well set up, great sun room, amazing views of the lake from the family room. You are right on the beach/lake shore. Good quality kayaks, nice dock. Everything felt very homey. The lake is nice too, not bust at all, very quiet in a nice neighborhood. The drive from the cities wasnât bad at all, a few gravel roads but really well maintained ones. Heidi was very quick to respond to questions. Highly recommend.
This was a perfect place for our family to stay and unwind for a long weekend! Itâs very well kept with a âat homeâ feel. We drove to the north shore one day to hike and went out on the kayaks. We visited the local restaurant 3/4 mile down the road and loved that too!
*If youâre coming from the cities, goto google maps for paved/dirt roads, it may take slightly longer on paved roads, but worth it. Traveling at night, in rain, and fog on miles of dirt roads with little light was difficult for me since Iâm just not used to that.
What a nice weekend getaway. There is certainly nature all around this beautiful lakehouse on the water. Heidi was an excellent host and the cozy home had nice views and the lake was fantastic. A very quiet and quaint weekend stay.
