Blue Hills is one of the oldest settlements on the island, it is very low-key and still one of the least developed areas on Provo. It has a number of popular eateries (Da Conch Shack and Froggies) a small supermarket, a number of ocean side casual dining spots and best of all - fabulous views of the sea. Tourism in all its glory is only just starting to reach Blue Hills, if you are after a vacation with a real local feel, this is the place for you. If manicured lawns, neatly trimmed palms and boutique shops is more your thing, you will be disappointed! This is the place where you'll see the local seniors playing dominoes in the shade in the evening, horse back riders enjoying the sunset and fishermen trying their luck on the pier. There are a number of small variety stores within a short walk but the fully stocked supermarkets are a short drive away.
Directly opposite Pelican View apartments is Mary’s Kitchen, a local legend for delicious and affordable island fare. Just a short walk down the beach you’ll find the famous Da Conch Shack, a great spot for a dinner and a cold beer on the beach.
Providenciales does not have any private beaches, so the whole island is yours to enjoy. A car rental will make it easy for you to visit a different beach every day. There are multiple public access points and parking is plentiful. So regardless of where you’re staying you can enjoy everything the beaches and array of restaurants in Grace Bay have to offer. Staying at Pelican View allows you to enjoy all the glamour of Grace Bay for a fraction of the price!
