What a cute place! Rhonda is a great hostess. Quick to answer questions, easy check in, easy check out! The place was stocked with supplies to get you started like paper products, coffee, detergents, soaps, etc. and a snack basket! The porch is wonderful with a great view. Horseshoe Beach is one of our favorite getaways on the Gulf!
We had an amazing time! Horseshoe is a great get away for fishing and relaxing in a quiet little town. The house is right on the water with docking space for your boat and plenty of parking to fit your boat trailer. The house has all the kitchen essentials as well as a washer and dryer. They also had a grill on the porch that made it easy. The house is very clean and cozy. We enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back!
Coastal Meets Country was the perfect location for my stay while on a volunteer team assessing campsites on the Big Bend Saltwater Paddling Trail after a storm. The home is located in a beautiful location, and our host made our stay very comfortable and it was creatively decorated to reflect the "Coastal Meets County" name! We love to cook, and the kitchen was also perfect! Will definitely return!
After spending 10 months building a home my husband and I needed a break. This was absolutely perfect! We love to go fishing and this provided a place to tie up the boat and head out first thing in the morning. It is very quiet and remote. We will definitely book again soon. Very important thing was that communication with the owners was the best we have ever had.
Well accommodated home very comfy nice quiet friendly town golf carts allowed. Rhonda & JD both very friendly on the spot for communicating it was a pleasure to stay. From what I understand if JD is available he also does boat chartering.
My wife and I vacationed in Horseshoe Beach on our 25th anniversary weekend. Everything went smoothly with small extras. A few things to consider... This town is very remote. Verizon has service, T-Mobile didn't. The host provided a Verizon hotspot at the home (thank you). Be sure to remember the login and password they send in advance or you won't be able to get to VRBO messages to see the message with that info after the fact. FYI, the town library has open wifi. The television has several paid services, like Netflix. Sunset is nice. Everywhere in town is really within walking distance. We didn't really see a nice place for swimming, but about 20 minute drive from town is Shired Island. The water is a touch cloudy, but it's fine. Truly, Horseshoe Beach is a remarkable fishing town. This rental was fine for our getaway, but it's absolutely perfect for that kind of trip, too! Thanks again, Rhonda!
We live in Horseshoe Beach full time after years of traveling back and forth on the weekends and holidays.. We enjoy sharing our little piece of paradise with others. Fishing is our way of life and my husband is a charter captain. If you need a charter please let us know.
The DrumCave is a great place to come relax and enjoy Horseshoe Beach. The house is comfortable and spacious even though it is small. The porch adds another level of space to enjoy on evenings when you want to star gaze or just enough a little peace and quiet.
There is nice dock area that you can pull your boat up to and dock. No need to trailer it everyday. There are also chairs downstairs to sit by the water or enjoy the fire pit at night.
